    I have two similar sites: - two of them have almost exactly the same codes, and running on the same server - both sites are the same, they just use different language. - database of the slower site is populated (maybe only the user table) the other tables for site content is the same - the faster uses root to access database one of the sites is not released yet, so it uses IP Address to access the site instead of domain name the site that is using IP address is faster (lot faster) the site that is using domain name is slower do you know why is this happening what could be the reason?

  • Using `g_object_set_data` for passing user name.

    I am using g_object_set_data to set user name with event_box so in call back i can get it with in event_box pointer. g_object_set_data(G_OBJECT(event_box), "user_name", (gpointer)(user_name) ); but problem is that i am setting user_name which is not an pointer allocated string. It is an local string (not allocated on hip) which gets destroyed. So is it necessary to allocated and then use the pointer, i just want to associate one name with this event_box.

    My company is about to get a new physical connection to the Internet, replacing the old provider. They, of course, are giving us the allotted IPs, Gateway, and DNS servers. My domain name is registered with a provider like Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc. When this new connection goes in, what do I change in the domain name providers DNS? I know to change what Host point to. That is my new IP address. But what about the name servers? I am confused because the company gave me IP addresses for the name servers, but at the provider is has a DNS server name like ns1.somedomain.com. Also, How do I update the Internet's DNS servers? Thanks.

Giuditta Pezzotta (PhD - Cels) e Roberto Pinto (PhD - Cels) ci hanno presentato la Service Engineering Methodology (SEEM), innovativa piattaforma metodologica che permette di ottimizzare la creazione di valore sia per il cliente finale sia per l’azienda, partendo dalla progettazione del prodotto e arrivando alla progettazione della soluzione prodotto-servizio, e valutando la bontà del prodotto-servizio ipotizzato attraverso strumenti concettuali e di simulazione dei processi. Armando Janigro, CX Strategy Director EMEA - Oracle ha invece parlato di Modern Customer Service, ovvero di come adattarsi in modo agile e veloce alle mutevoli necessità dei clienti, ipotizzando l’adozione in chiave strategica di nuovi strumenti di differenziazione e di leadership come la Customer Experience (CX) e sfruttando le nuove dinamiche di relazione azienda-singolo consumatore per ottimizzare l’esperienza multicanale e per render più efficiente il Customer Service, creando ulteriore valore. I am assuming that Model and ViewModel would not be part of the name because the selection data is but a portion of the Model or ViewModel. What might this set of data be named such that I can name my service method?

How to determine if the name selected is available and there will be no legal issues later? Example.: A new website being developed, it needs a name, isn't it? Let's say the domain is free to register, but that doesn't mean that the name as it is can be used, how can I check something like this?

  • Why would a WebService return nulls when the actual service returns data?

    I have a webservice (out of my control) that I have to talk to. I also have a packet-sniffer on the line, and (SURPRISE!!!) the developers of the webservice aren't lying. They are actually sending back all of the data that I requested. But the web-service code that is auto-generated from the WSDL file is giving me "null" as a value. I used their WSDL file to generate my Web Reference. I checked my data types with the datatypes that the WSDL file has declared. And I used the code as listed below to perform the calls: DT_MaterialMaster_LookupRequest req = new DT_MaterialMaster_LookupRequest(); req.MaterialNumber = "101*"; req.DocumentNo = ""; req.Description = "Pipe*"; req.Plant = "0000"; MI_MaterialMaster_Lookup_OBService srv = new MI_MaterialMaster_Lookup_OBService(); DT_MaterialMaster_Response resp = srv.MI_MaterialMaster_Lookup_OB(new DT_MaterialMaster_LookupRequest[] { req }); // Note that the response here is ALWAYS null!! Console.WriteLine(resp.Status); The resp object is an actual object. It was generated properly. However, the Status and MaterialData fields are always null.     Hi, I am trying to implement a simple web service provider using Tomcat6, CXF 2.2, Spring 3, and actually the service itself runs fine (I can call web methods using the original WSDL and SoapUI). However, Tomcat returns a blank page on "?wsdl" requests. Also, when I try to manipulate the (would-be) published WSDL by adding a publishedEndpointURL property to the jaxws:endpoint element, Tomcat will issue a XML parse exception (something like property publishedEndpointURL is not allowed in element jaxws:endpoint) <jaxws:endpoint id="service" implementor="org.sample.ServiceImpl" implementorClass="org.sample.ServiceImpl" address="/service" publishedEndpointURL="http://localhost:8080/MyService/service"> I used "contract first" style.   • Sporadic name resolution failure happening on web service call

    One of our wcf service applications calls a seperate third party web service to submit information. We are getting the following error every so often, but not all the time: System.Net.WebException: The remote name could not be resolved: 'ws.examplesite.net' at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetRequestStream() at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Object[] parameters) The wierd thing is that after the error happens, we can hit "Submit" again a second later and it will go through just fine. We have checked and double checked with our network guys and they have confirmed that DNS is correct, and they have done multiple nslookups in a row to confirm. This is happening in all environments (dev, test and prod). We use the third party test and prod urls, and it is happening when we point to both. Does anyone have any other trouble shooting techniques for this or any reason this would happen? Much thanks, ~Ansley

    Hi, I installed Tomcat 6.0.18 on Windows 2003 as a service. I try to set the CATALINA_OPTS environment variable but it seems to be ignored by Tomcat. Do I need to use the Tomcat Service Manager (procrun) instead? Is it normal that if I install Tomcat as a service it doesn't see the enviroment variables but it only wotks with procrun? THANKS
