  • How to set up virtual hosts properly on a windows machine using Zend Community CE ?

    I have set up Zend Server CE on a windows machine and am having the hardest time setting up virtual hosts. No matter what I do, links on my local machine are showing "localhost" in the path causing all images and links to not work properly. I have the following in my vhosts file and while the site loads up, most links show "local host in them". Please help.   • Using Visual Studio 2005 (32bit) on a Windows 7 64bit machine.

    I need to use Visual Studio 2005 (C++) on my new laptop - a Sony Vaio with Windows 7 64bit.. I don't need to develop for a 64bit environment, my work is all 32bit, so how can I be sure that I can still develop/debug/test for a 32bit target environment using VS2005 on a 64bit machine....? What's the best option: 1) Just install VS2005 on Windows 7 64bit and carry on.. (suspect problems with 64bit runtime libs..?) 2) Dual boot the laptop with Windows XP 32bit. 3) Run some kind of Virtual Machine with Windows XP in it... (I don't have a VM yet, but would look into it) Thanks

  • Is there an easy way to setup the android emulator to access the LAN of the host machine ?

    I would like to access a web service provided by one of the machines on my LAN from the android emulator. If the service was running on the same machine where the emulator is running (called host), I could add a network redirection and access the 10.0.2.2 (host loopback interface in the emulator) with the correct port. However it is running on another machine on the LAN. I guess I could add another redirection on the host additionally to the above one (would have to fight with iptables though ... ), but does a more simple solution exist ?

  • How to connect 2 virtual hosts running on the same machine?

    I have 2 virtual hosts running on my Windows XP laptop. One is Ubuntu running inside vmware player. The other is MS virtual PC (so I can test with IE6 ). The Ubuntu virtual host is running my web application with apache. I can point my browser on my laptop at the Ubuntu IP and view my web app. I read this post http://stackoverflow.com/questions/197792/how-to-connect-to-host-machine-from-within-virtual-pc-image and was able to get my Virtual PC to ping my physical machine using the loopback adapter. But I'm stuck on getting my Virtual PC to see my web application running in the Ubuntu vmware player host. I appreciate any suggestions.

  • How to retrieve files/documents that are not found on the web server machine.

    I am trying to create an export feature for a user to be able to download documents into a zip file. I have the feature working when the files are located on my local and I can use an absolute path on my local. But after talking to the infrastructure team, I found out that the documents are not stored on the same machine as the web server but located at a server farm located off site. I can query the database which gives me a file path. But the path is more of a relative path. So can anyone help me understand how to use FileInfo with getting files from another machine. I believe the infrastructure team said there is a virtual drive set up to the outside server. Am I able to use a virtual path some how? Thanks.

The development environment is .NET. Is there a secure way to authenticate the user to access the application?     Description: The project deals with interaction with the remote desktop connecting through web browser (Internet Explorer). What we did: We have created an activex which installs through the web browser into client machine which lets the user to connect to different servers through web browser. What is in Activex In Activex we used an MSTSC.lib file and by passing the relevant parameters to it. It connects to the remote Desktop. What are the Problems facing now? We are able to connect to remote desktop but randomly keyboard does not work in remote machine. Where as mouse works perfectly.

    Hi I have three images being used to indicate an application icon state and I'm attempting to use css to do this. No problem with the original or hover states: #myDIV { background-image: url(icons/homeBlack.png); } #myDIV:hover { background-image: url(icons/homeWhite.png); } but I need to do two other things: 1) when the item is clicked it should use the third image $("#myDIV").click(function(event){ // change this button $(this).css("background-image", "url(icons/homeBlue.png)"); }); 2) if it is clicked again it should not apply the third image again because it's already applied - so it needs to check if it has been applied My questions are: 1) simply am I missing a css trick somewhere or is Jquery the best way to do this? 2) can I check which background-image is in place and how? I can't seem to find anything in JQuery that would allow me to determine which image is "currently" in place. Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Can I save my app's state at close time in iPhone OS?

    I have an app that functions much like an ebook. I have a bunch of textual information in various languages that is accessible through a number of drill down methods. When a user wants to get into where they were reading last, they currently have to navigate through the section and chapter menus to get back to where they were. An ideal solution for this would be to setup a bookmark system, which I am considering. But if I remember correctly, when iPhone OS 4 was announced, they seemed to make a big deal of the added ability to save the state of an app. Does that mean that someone using my reader app would be able to just exit right out, do whatever, and then when they came back in, it would be the reading screen just as they left it? I don't know much about how to setup a bookmarking system, I suppose it would be worth investigating, but I would probably want to just hold off for iPhone OS 4 if that is indeed what it will be capable of doing. Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated!!

    I have coded a web service using the Axis 2 framework and I can successfully invoke it using a test client (SoapUI) on the local machine after publishing the application in JBoss 5. I can post to the WS endpoint from the local machine and get the expected response. Now i want to allow other machines to access the web service. i changed the "localhost" to "my own fixed IP" adress at the end point location, and turned firewall off, but impossible to access the WS. Note : windows Xp SP3. Any idea ? Thanks in advance !!

    I am trying to avoid building two buttons when I really need one. In my Silverlight app scenarios, I have few grids with a different content and buttons that control the visibility of these grids. I need to be able to show a different visual for a button when its content grid is visible. I can control states such as MouseOver and Pressed and more with visual state manage. However, I am not sure how to achieve this functionality with. I also can place an image on top of the button and switch the visibility of both but it is not perfect for what I need. I am wondering if there is any way to achieve this behavior. Any ideas are highly appreciated!

    Hi there: I am developing an application (Delphi 7, windows XP) that uses a connection to a remote SQL Server. Sometimes, that server is down, and I want to do something to start it. I was trying to start SQL Server in a local context, and it was fine, it worked... But the point is that I have to start it up from a remote machine. I can see SQL Server status from a remote server, but I can't start it up... Maybe it gets problems because of user and password, but where to specify the login to the remote machine?     How does one initalise a Wix check box based on the value of a property? So far, I've done the following: <Control Id="Checkbox" Type="CheckBox" X="0" Y="0" Width="100" Height="15" Property="CHECKBOX_SELECTION" Text="I want this feature" CheckBoxValue="1" TabSkip="no"> <Condition Action="hide">HIDE_CHECKBOX</Condition> <Condition Action="show">NOT HIDE_CHECKBOX</Condition> </Control> Currently I have two custom actions to set HIDE_CHECKBOX and CHECKBOX_SELECTION. The CHECKBOX_SELECTION custom action occurs immediately after the HIDE_CHECKBOX action. What I'm seeing is that HIDE_CHECKBOX is behaving correctly (ie. the checkbox is hidden) which suggests that I've got the ordering of custom actions correct, but CHECKBOX_SELECTION is not changing the check state of the check box. Is this a safe assumption? Also, I've confirmed that SELECTION is being set to '1' in the logs.
