  • How do I set up derby in eclipse on Ubuntu?

    The question basically says it all. I'm trying setup up JavaDB on my virtualbox running Ubuntu 9.10. I have the package downloaded and installed through the package manager, which I believe is the right to go about it. I have also installed the Eclipse's Data Platform Tools. I've been following this tutorial here: http://www.vogella.de/articles/EclipseDataToolsPlatform/article.html. I'm stuck at the driver definition step. When I select the driver template from the Name/Type tab and the jar file in the Jar List tab, the OK button is never enabled. At the top of the New Driver Definition dialog it says 'Unable to locate Jar/zip in the file system as specified by the driver definition: derby.jar.' I assume this is the problem. Any help or links to a better tutorial would be much appreciated.

    Here's my situation: New to Ubuntu (just nstalled 9.10 Karmic Koala 64 bit) Purpose: to easily run PyCharm without too much typing (ie. cd... ./pycharm.sh) Want to create desktop Launcher instead of terminal & typing (without resorting to the "Run in Terminal" option) Tried to create Launcher to executes .sh script in Document directory Right-clicked Desktop Create Launcher a. Type == Application; Browse [insert absolute path to .sh script]; no luck b. Type == Application in Terminal; Browse ...ditto I'm open to any other alternatives that involve as little typing as possible. I would like to just start Ubuntu, click Launcher icons, and have terminals spring to life, running the intended scripts. Crazy? No. Lazy? Probably. Productive? Hopefully :)

Today I tried to create a new project and got the message bellow (Portuguese version): O programa 'rails' pode ser encontrado nos seguintes pacotes: * rails * ruby-railties-3.2 Tente: sudo apt-get install <pacote selecionado> Something like: The program 'rails' could not be found in the follow packages: ... ... Try: sudo apt-get install <selected package> I run the command gem list and all the gems are listed, including Rails one. I tried to search on the web for a solution, but haven't found any. I would like to know if it is possible to regrouped those OR clauses in a pair of parentheres.   • Google Spreadsheet API problem: memory exceeded

    Hi guys, Don't know if anyone has experience with the Google Spreadsheets API or the Zend_GData classes but it's worth a go: When I try to insert a value in a 750 row spreadsheet, it takes ages and then throws an error that my memory limit (which is 128 MB!) was exceeded. I also got this when querying all records of this spreadsheet but this I can imaging because it's quite a lot of data. But why does this happen when inserting a row? That's not too complex, is it? Through Synaptic Package Manager I am have installed the mysql version: mysql-client-5.1 I wonder that how was the database password set for the mysql-client software that I installed through the above way.It would be nice if you could enlighten me on this. Is there any command line utility to do this via ubuntu? I tried rdesktop, winexe, ssh, telnet but they are not much of use. Can you please suggest some other way?

    On Ubuntu 9.10 using PVM 3.4.5-12 (the PVM package when you use apt-get) The program terminates after adding a host. laptop> pvm pvm> add bowtie-slave add bowtie-slave terminated laptop> Current Configuration only $PVM_RSH = bin/usr/ssh I can ssh perfectly fine into the slave without a password, and run commands on it.   • How do I configure multiple Ubuntu Python installations to avoid App Engine's SSL error?

    I have Karmic Koala which has Python 2.6 installed by default. However I can't run any Python App Engine projects because they require Python 2.5 and python ssl. To install ssl I installed python2.5-dev first while following some instructions I found elsewhere. sudo apt-get install libssl-dev sudo apt-get install python-setuptools sudo apt-get install python2.5-dev sudo easy_install-2.5 pyopenssl However, I am afraid this is not good for my Ubuntu installation since Ubuntu expects to see version 2.6 of Python when you type 'python' on the command line. Instead, it says '2.5.5'. I tried to revert to the original default version of Python by doing this: sudo apt-get remove python2.5-dev But that didn't seem to do anything either - when I type 'python' on the command line it still say 2.5.5. And App Engine still doesn't work after all this. I continue to get an SSL-related error whenever I try to run my Python app: AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'HTTPSHandler' UPDATE: Just checked whether SSL actually installed as a result of those commands by typing this: $ python2.5 Python 2.5.5 (r255:77872, Apr 29 2010, 23:59:20) [GCC 4.4.1] on linux2 Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. >>> import ssl Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> ImportError: No module named ssl >>> As you can see, SSL is still not installed, which explains the continuing App Engine error. If anyone knows how I can dig myself out of this hole, I would appreciate it.

  • SSL certificate error with Weblogic in Internet Explorer

    I have a Weblogic server installed and a site. The SSL port is 7002 When I try to access a secure page ex https://localhost:7002/site in Internet Explorer I get a certificate error. Clicking the continue to website does not do anything. In chrome, I get the opton to "Ignore Anyway" and I can continue to see the page. But in Internet explorer I having no such luck. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I am using the default certificates that come wih weblogic installation. I have not generated any private keys or certificates. Any help appreciated.

I've set xdebug so that I can debug my site on apache but when I click 'debug as web page' in the eclipse ide only the breakpoint in the public/index.php and in the views get hit. If I put a breakpoin here public function indexAction() { // action body $this->view->s = "deam"; } the debugger don't stop?! why is that? I can't debug the most important part of my application. :( Plese help me with this.

The program sends all the data with INADDR_BROADCAST if I am connected to an infrastructure wireless network. However, if my laptop is connected to an ad-hoc network, it is able to receive all the data, but not to send it. I have solved the problem using the 169.254.255.255 broadcast address, but I would like to know what is going on. Thank you in advance!

  • zend_acl: Adding extra resources dynamically and getting a param predispatch

    First sorry about the woffle as I'm not sure how best to describe this. Basically I am not sure how I can get param in the bootstrap before the controller is loaded, but here is the long winded version... I have got an acl class storing all my default resources in. All my page/post content is a database and I want the admin the ability to choose who which role the page would become available. I know it is possible just to loop through the database table and add them all in at once, but I am concerned that this is a drain on resources. I have it working whereby my access check plugin can call a dynamic permission function, but I need to get the parameter of the current page ID and it's permission to set it before the controller is loaded. Does that make sense or am I worry over nothing and I should just get the resources of all the pages at once? thanks in advance for reading my garble!!

    I need to convert string like this: $url = 'module/controller/action/param1/param1value/paramX/paramXvalue'; to url regarding current router (including translation and so on). Usually I generate the target urls using url view helper, but for this I need to specify all params, so I would need to manually explode the string. I tried to use request object, like this: $request = new Zend_Controller_Request_Http(); // some code here passing the $url Zend_Debug::dump($request->getControllerName()); // null instead of 'controllers' Zend_Debug::dump($request->getParams()); // null instead of array but this seems to be suspected. Do I need to dispatch this request? How to handle this case well?

    I recently installed openvpn and things were working. But I got a weird screen after a few hours and on restart my wired and wireless connections are not working.
