I have a table of products with a pk "Parent" which has "Components" The data looks something like this Parent(PK) Component Car1 Wheel Car1 Tyre Car1 Roof Car2 Alloy Car2 Tyre Car2 Roof Car3 Alloy Car3 Tyre Car3 Roof Car3 Leather Seats Now what I want to do is some query that I can feed two codes in and see the differences... IE If I feed in "Car1", "Car2" it would return something like; Parent Component Car1 Wheel Car2 Alloy As this is the difference between the two. If I said "Car1", "Car3" I would expect; Parent Component Car1 Wheel Car3 Alloy Car3 Leather Seats Your help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

• How can I tell what events fire from GXT?

  I cannot seem to find any documentation of what events fire and when in GXT. The API docs have lists of all the events that could fire (in Events). And it describes how to handle events that you catch. But I'm interested in the opposite side, which events are fired when I take a certain action. I can set some listeners for various different components, or I can use addListener with a specific event code to catch individual events. That's spotty, and I seem to be using trial-and-error to guess what I might want to catch. Is there a way to log all the events that are firing? Or catch all of them so I could look at them in a debugger? Or is there some documentation I am missing that has the information? Something along the lines of "when you click on a widget, a ButtonEvent is fired. Events.x is fired on the hover, Events.y on the click."

  Hi, I am using spring and hibernate along with my different components There is date field in DB as contract_end_date as a Date , so my pojo also contains date getter setter for contract_end_date, but when i submit form to Multiaction controller it gives data bindding exception for contract_end_date. It trying to search string getter setter for contract_end_date. So is there is any solution to handle this kind of problem. • Catch unhandled exception of invisible thread

  In my C++ application i use an activeX component that runs its own thread (or several I don't know). Sometimes this components throws exceptions. I would like to catch these exceptions and do recovery instead of my entire application crashing. But since I don't have access to its source code or thread I am unsure how it would be done. The only solution I can think of is to run it in its own process. Using something like CreateProcess and then CreateRemoteThread, unsure how it could be implemented. Any suggestion on how to go about solving this?

• Protobuf compiler for several languages

  Hi, In my project I have components written on Python, ObjectiveC and J2ME. I want to use protobuf as data interchange format. However, there are one issue I need to resolve. Google implementation doesn't support ObjC and J2ME. There are 3rd party implementations that supports those languages. But I really don't want to be depended of several protoc implementations. • Manipulating excel "autoshapes" with VBA

  I am trying to write a macro in VBA (Excel) that is assigned to a Checkbox. Whenever the checkbox is clicked, an "autoshape" will change its "order" from "Send to Back" to "Send to Front". Basically, I am trying to create a dashboard with multiple panels, so that users can access information without moving between sheets. Each panel will have a rectangular autoshape as its background and the components of the panel will be "grouped" within the autoshape. Can this be done? • Incorporation of YUI 3 in rails

  I was wondering if any effort has been made towards integration of YUI3 with rails asset pipeline. By integration, I don't just mean a couple of helpers for including the library but rather a complete integration of YUI module loader. I'll elaborate the idea in detail: Currently, developers developing modules using YUI rely on Ant tasks for concatenating the module components and wrapping them up with some associated metadata and generating target files ( and optionally minifying and running jslint). Also, when fetching the modules, the YUI loader calculates the module dependencies and generates a single file comprising of all the dependencies which havent been included already in the page. I was wondering if the whole functionality could be seamlessly integrated into the Asset pipeline of rails.

  I'm trying to render a component from withing another component. public override void Render() // ... var block = new Block(); block.Init(EngineContext, Context); block.Render(); // ... } The problem is that Block component can't find it's template. ResourceProcessingException Message: Unable to process resource 'components\CustomReportComponentComponent\default.vm': Resource could not be located I guess, other problems can arise because the component is not properly initialized. Is it possible to initialize a component from within another component's Render method, so it renders just as if called from a .vm?

But this object while creating in runtime give me an exception : The calling thread must be STA, because many UI components require this. I know that I must use Dispatcher to make reflect something to UI. But in this case I just create an object and dont iteract with UI. • Proper Install Order For Visual Studio 2010 with SQL Server 2008 and Office 2007?

  I want to create a Windows 7 64-bit (Ultimate) virtual machine with: Visual Studio 2010 (Ultimate) Office 2007 Enterprise (with Visio 2007) SQL Server 2008 (with SSIS and SSRS) but I am not sure if there is a correct order to install those items such that there will not be a loss of "awareness" of one application from another on that list? For example, I want to make sure Visual Studio knows that Office exists but also that Visual Studio knows that SQL Server exists but if I install SQL Server before Office will that wipe out any data access drivers that are needed by VS 2010 if Office is installed after SQL Server? There are a lot of components and I never gave it a thought that install order would matter but I have a feeling it does. Ultimately I want to create a VM that I can save and use a base development VM from which to create additional VMs from.

• Pyjamas import statements

  I'm starting to use Pyjamas and I'm running into some annoyances. I have to import a lot of stuff to make a script work well. For example, to make a button I need to first from pyjamas.ui.Button import Button and then I can use Button. Note that import pyjamas.ui.Button and then using Button.Button doesn't work (results in errors when you build to JavaScript, at least in 0.7pre1). Does anyone have a better example of a good way to do the import statements in Pyjamas than what the Pyjamas folks have on their site? Doing things their way is possible, but ugly and overly complicated from my perspective, especially when you want to use a dozen or more ui components.

  This question is in continuation to How to get attributes of container in jquer, I have different containers on my webpage and all of them have <div id = "some values"> now how can I get attributes values separately for each component ? Is there any way I can know which attribute id belong to which container div ? Currently I am using : var id = $( '.promotion' ).attr( 'id' ); But if I have multiple promotional components on page and all have same div attribute as id than how can I relate that this particular attribute id belonged to this specific container ? Update: I am having a function which is called for each container present on the page and so if I am using above mentioned code than will it not always return me the first match for id in the div and would never go to other divs and so I will always get same value for id which is for the first container ? If so than what is the work around for this ? Hope this question is clear.

  Our team builds a .NET 3.5 WinForms based application that we'd like to migrate to the latest .NET version (4.5). Our application uses many "external" components (can be thought of as plugins) that are also currently .NET 3.5 based. I'd like to know what runtime/core libraries are used in case we convert ONLY THE APPLICATION to compile using .NET 4.5? Should this scenario properly work? (loading .NET 3.5 assemblies in a 4.5 process)? * The plugin assemblies are loaded via reflection. How does the CLR runtime handle such a scenario? is this a safe practice?

  My post title almost states it all: How do I download a file from an FTP server using FTP over SSL using .NET? I have read a bit and there are several 3rd party components to purchase that wrap up this functionality. The deal is, this is a very specefic need and is not going to grow much, so if downloading a file from an FTP server using FTP over SSL can be done using the .NET Framework (i.e. System.Net namespace or something), then that would be best. I don't need a ton of functionality, but if for some reason coding against a secure FTP server is a nightmare or not doable through the .NET Framework BCL that would be nice to know, as a 3rd party .dll might be best. • Is there any way to get all the controls on a container control?

  I've got a form with a bunch of controls on it, and I wanted to iterate through all the controls on a certain panel and enable/disable them. I tried this: var component: TComponent; begin for component in myPanel do (component as TControl).Enabled := Value; end; But that did nothing. Turns out all components are in the form's component collection, not their parent object's. So does anyone know if there's any way to get all the controls inside a control? (Besides an ugly workaround like this, which is what I ended up having to do): var component: TComponent; begin for component in myPanel do if (component is TControl) and (TControl(component).parent = myPanel) then TControl(component).Enabled := Value; end; Someone please tell me there's a better way...

  I've got a web page that I'm embedding a pdf into. Conceptually very simple: <html> <body> blah1 <object type="application/pdf" data="a.pdf" width="500" height="650" ></object> blah2 </body> </html> What I would like to do is fire a JavaScript event when the pdf finishes loading. Is there a way to make this happen? I know only a little about JQuery, but it looks like .ready() won't fit my needs, since it is designed to fire when the html document is ready, not when all of its components are fully loaded. Thoughts?

  I am building a set of class libraries that produce office open xml based reports and I am using a static Windsor IoC container. My problem is that one possible entry point to the reporting system is via a web front end which means that the reporting systems static IoC Container is being shared amongst multiple web requests which causes exceptions as for each new request the reporting system is trying re-register components in Windsor that were already registered by an earlier request. I dont want to move the registration into the web app global.asax as my reporting system will no longer be stand-alone. How can I have a Windsor IoC container that can be shared amongst my reporting classes but not shared across multiple web requests?

It runs only once and then app exit automatically. If i comment out all the code and just write NSLog(@"test"); then application works ok, it logs "test" after each 1 sec.

• Are there any ASP.NET MVC Real Time View Editors?

  I'm looking for a tool and I'm not even sure of the proper name. Please be patient with me as I explain. I'm doing a lot of html/mvc 2 work. Using the standard MVC 2 view engine, I would like to have an editor that shows real time changes in the browser. If I re-arrange div elements containing standard HTML and some server side components, I would like the browser to update without a manual refresh. Are there any tools that are currently available that would meet that requirement?
