• Accept keyboard input when game is not in focus?

  I want to be able to control the game via keyboard while the game does not have focus... How can I do this in XNA? EDIT: I bought a tablet. I want to write a separate app to overly the screen with controls that will send keyboard input to the game. Although, it's not sending the input DIRECT to the game, it's using the method discussed in this SO question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6446085/emulate-held-down-key-on-keyboard To my understanding, my test app is working the way it should be but the game is not responding to this input. I originally thought that Keyboard.GetState() would get the state regardless that the game is not in focus, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

• Computer-controlled Lights and Music Synced into Christmas Rock Spectacular

  This spectacular computer controlled and synchronized lighting display combines thousands of feet of LED lighting, multiple controllers, and a rock medley to great effect. The above display started life as the personal Christmas light display of Sioux Falls, ND resident Joe Noe. When Noe moved, he donated his display to a local mall in order to preserve the tradition of people stopping by to see it and making donations to the Make-A-Wish foundation. The local mall, Western Mall, expanded the display and added in even more LEDs and controllers. The end result is an impressive display synced to a Christmas rock medley by UK musician Richard Campbell. • [Windows 8] Please implement the PlayTo feature in your media apps

  One of the greatest feature in Windows 8 apps is the ability to stream the video/photos/music you’re playing to any DLNA capable device in your network. Meaning that if you’re watching a movie on Netflix on your brand new Surface tablet in your garden, you can continue to watch it without interruption on your TV if you decide to go back inside ! Isn’t that awesome? The best thing is that it takes very few lines to implement that in an app and it’s very easy. You just have to subscribe to one event and feed the EventArgs with the stream you want to display. You can either stream a video/music from a MediaElement/MediaPlayer (see PlayerFramework on CodePlex) or from a simple Image control. Code’s better than text so I invite you to go the sample code of the PlayTo feature on the msdn (it features code for JS, C# and C++). So if you’re developing an app capable of playing video, music or just display some photos, please implement the PlayTo, it will bring a plus to your app.

• set left handed mouse, then wacom stylus buttons switch too

  I'm using Lubuntu 12.04. I can set my mouse (basic usb mouse) to left hand (i.e. switch the left and right mouse buttons which is all I need) by going into Preferences / Keyboard and Mouse. However, it changes my Wacom stylus, so that when the tip touches the tablet it acts like the right mouse button, making it impossible to draw. Is there a way to have both happen at once? The stylus buttons working in right handed configuration, while the mouse works in left handed configuration? Thanks for any help/suggestions.
