  • 12.04 making BCM4313 card work with aircrack-ng?

    I'm a real Linux Noob, just started using it (this month) and until now i had no issues. now i'm trying to set-up aircrack-ng on my laptop, but it seems like it's using the worst card possible (or almost) there is a TON of tutorial on this card (seems to be hell to set-up) i have tryed some, but i ended up uninstalling my drivers, messing with my desktops, and ended by having no more "X" to close my windows (i have no clue how i ended there) i just re-installed my linux (took me 2 hours to setup everything again), but now i'm a bit "Scared" to try tutorials randomly again.   • cannot access localhost using ip

    I have done a small web development project using eclipse. It runs well when I try running it on browser with url localhost:8080/myproject/home.html. But if I want to access it on another machine (laptop, mobile, etc. using the same wifi) it is not possible; it is not able to connect. After Googling for a while found out that I have to use the IP address instead of 'localhost'. So I tried 10.0.0.4:8080/myproject/home.html, but still does not work. In fact i am unable to open that url on the same machine (where localhost:8080/myproject/home.html works fine). I also added a new Inbound rule in control panel firewall settings, allowing access to all ports for protocol TCP. Still have problem in running application with the url 10.0.0.4:8080/myproject/home.html (both on same machine as well as laptop and mobile).     Hello all. I'm trying to create a custom TCP stack using Python 2.6.5 on Windows 7 to serve valid http page requests on port 80 locally. But, I've run into a snag with what seems like Windows 7 tightened up security. This code worked on Vista.     I have followed this document on cisco site to set up the L2TP over IPsec connection. When I try to establish a VPN to ASA 5505 from my Windows XP, after I click on "connect" button, the "Connecting ...." dialog box appears and after a while I get this error message: Error 800: Unable to establish VPN connection. The VPN server may be unreachable, or security parameters may not be configured properly for this connection. ASA version 7.2(4) ASDM version 5.2(4) Windows XP SP3 Windows XP and ASA 5505 are on the same LAN for test purposes. Edit 1: There are two VLANs defined on the cisco device (the standard setup on cisco ASA5505). - port 0 is on VLAN2, outside; - and ports 1 to 7 on VLAN1, inside. I run a cable from my linksys home router (10.50.10.1) to the cisco ASA5505 router on port 0 (outside). Port 0 have IP 192.168.1.1 used internally by cisco and I have also assigned the external IP 10.50.10.206 to port 0 (outside). I run a cable from Windows XP to Cisco router on port 1 (inside). Port 1 is assigned an IP from Cisco router 192.168.1.2. The Windows XP is also connected to my linksys home router via wireless (10.50.10.141).     Hi, Happy New Year! I have a textbox to display a very long Base64 string. The TextBox.Multline = true and TextBox.WordWrap = true. The issue is caused by the auto-word-boundary detection of the TextBox itself. The Base64 string has '+' as one of the 64 characters for Base64 encoding. Therefore, the TextBox will wrap it up at the '+' character, which is not what I want (because the use might think there is a newline character around the '+' character). I just want my Base64 string displayed in Mulitline-mode in TextBox, but no word boundary detection, that is, if the TextBox.Width can only contain 80 characters, then each line should have exact 80 characters except the last line.     Hi all, I'm trying to understand the rules for choosing an IPv6 multicast address Group ID, and the RFC seems somewhat inconsistent.     Hi, My problem is im trying to enable mex on a service that uses net.tcp binding. that binding is for localhost port 5000, when i want to enable mex on the same port, and have it avilable for http i have to enable the HttpGetEnabled on the Service host. All this works well but when i try to add the binding it fails becuase the binding is "net.tcp://localhost:5000/test". is there a way to enable mex on the same port but with a diffrent uri? Without enableing NetTcpPortSharing. I dont think the code is the issue since i can add the MEX on a diffrent port through the code an it works fine, the question is how to have net.tcp://localhost:5000/test as the WCF tcp based enpoint and net.tcp://localhost:5000/test/mex as the http mex endpoint that gives the WSDL for the TCP endpoint. thanks, Totem

  • Tomcat cookies not working via my ProxyPass VirtualHost

    Hi there. I'm having some issues with getting cookies to work when using a ProxyPass to redirect traffic on port 80 to a web-application hosted via Tomcat. My motivation for enabling cookies is to get rid of the "jsessionid=" parameter that is appended to the URLs. I've enabled cookies in my context.xml in META-INF/ for my web application. When I access the webapplication via http://url:8080/webapp it works as expected, the jsessionid parameter is not visible in the URL, instead it's stored in a cookie. When accessing my website via an apache2 virtualhost the cookies doesn't seem to work because now "jsessionid" is being appended to the URLs. How can I solve this issue? AIUI from the Wrap a Programsection in README, Websockify can help you launch a TCP server and rebind its port so that incoming Websockets-based communication is parsed and forwarded to the server on the proper (rebinded) port. My question is, can this mechanism be used to wrap a server that forks its children which in turn communicate with the client on a different port. Specifically, I am interested in websockifying a Postgres server, which typically listens on port 5432 and for a new incoming connection it forks a child which serves all future request from that client.     Hi I was using XVI32 (Hex Editor) to get the hex representation of the Euro symbol and it gives me the value as 80. Another site: http://www.string-functions.com/string-hex.aspx does the same. I am not able to understand why the hex representation is 80 instead of 0x20AC. This 0X80 gives 128 in decimal and if I use Alt+0128 it actually produces the Euro symbol. Could somebody throw some light on what could be the logic behind this conversion from string to hex conversion ? Thanks

    I connect to a database with read only access using SQL developer. It's a TNS connection. I use a tnsnames.ora, forwarding port script and SQL Developer. In the past, occasionally, when connecting, I get a error message Got a minus one from a read call. Vendor Code 0 If I do a reboot, it goes away. Another friend suggested changed the forwarding port which worked for him. I recently upgraded to a new computer and now it seems that I am getting the error message consistently. Reboot or changing forwarding port does not help at all. The port forwarding script contains something like this putty -L ::1521 Does anybody have any idea? Thanks.

In theory, when you shrink the browser (forcing the table to shrink as well), a vertical scrollbar should appear INSIDE the second cell when the table becomes too small to fit all of the content. But in reality, the table just grows vertically, beyond the bounds set by the CSS height attribute(s). Hopefully I've explained this scenario adequately... Does anyone know how I can get this to work?

This should only take up the remainder of the table's vertical space. </div> </div> </div> If you open this code (in IE8, in my case) you'll notice that the second cell fits in the table nicely when the browser is maximized. In theory, when you shrink the browser (forcing the table to shrink as well), a vertical scrollbar should appear INSIDE the second cell when the table becomes too small to fit all of the content. But in reality, the table just grows vertically, beyond the bounds set by the CSS height attribute(s). Hopefully I've explained this scenario adequately... Does anyone know how I can get this to work?

    Why am i using over 80% CPU when just hovering some links?
