  • jQuery post request is not sent until first post request is compleated

    - by Champ
    I have a function which have a long execution time. public void updateCampaign() { context.Session[processId] = "0|Fetching Lead360 Campaign"; Lead360 objLead360 = new Lead360(); string campaignXML = objLead360.getCampaigns(); string todayDate = DateTime.Now.ToString("dd-MMMM-yyyy"); context.Session[processId] = "1|Creating File for Lead360 Campaign on " + todayDate; string fileName = HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("campaigns") + todayDate + ".xml"; objLead360.createFile(fileName, campaignXML); context.Session[processId] = "2|Reading The latest Lead360 Campaign"; string file = File.ReadAllText(fileName); context.Session[processId] = "3|Updating Lead360 Campaign"; string updateStatus = objLead360.updateCampaign(fileName); string[] statusArr = updateStatus.Split('|'); context.Session[processId] = "99|" + statusArr[0] + " New Inserted , " + statusArr[1] + " Updated , With " + statusArr[2] + " Error , "; } So to track the Progress of the function I wrote a another function public void getProgress() { if (context.Session[processId] == null) { string json = "{\"error\":true}"; Response.Write(json); Response.End(); }else{ string[] status = context.Session[processId].ToString().Split('|'); if (status[0] == "99") context.Session.Remove(processId); string json = "{\"error\":false,\"statuscode\":" + status[0] + ",\"statusmsz\":\"" + status[1] + "\" }"; Response.Write(json); Response.End(); } } To call this by jQuery post request is used reqUrl = "AjaxPages/lead360Campaign.aspx?processid=" + progressID + "&action=updatecampaign"; $.post(reqUrl); setTimeout(getProgress, 500); get getProgress is : function getProgress() { reqUrl = "AjaxPages/lead360Campaign.aspx?processid=" + progressID + "&action=getProgress"; $.post(reqUrl, function (response) { var progress = jQuery.parseJSON(response); console.log(progress) if (progress.error) { $("#fetchedCampaign .waitingMsz").html("Some error occured. Please try again later."); $("#fetchedCampaign .waitingMsz").css({ "background": "url(common/images/ajax_error.jpg) no-repeat center 6px" }); return; } if (progress.statuscode == 99) { $("#fetchedCampaign .waitingMsz").html("Update Status :"+ progress.statusmsz ); $("#fetchedCampaign .waitingMsz").css({ "background": "url(common/images/ajax_loded.jpg) no-repeat center 6px" }); return; } $("#fetchedCampaign .waitingMsz").html("Please Wait... " + progress.statusmsz); setTimeout(getProgress, 500); }); } But the problem is that I can't see the intermediate message. Only the last message is been displayed after a long lime of ajax loading message Also on the browser console I just see that after a long time first requested is completed and after that the second request is completed. but there should be for getProgress ? I have checked jquery.doc and it says that $post is an asynchronous request. Can anyone please explain what is wrong with the code or logic?

  • Java Swing: JWindow appears behind all other process windows, and will not disappear

    - by Kim Jong Woo
    I am using JWindow to display my splash screen during the application start up. however it will not appear in front of all windows as it should, and it will not disappear as well. import java.awt.BorderLayout; import java.awt.Color; import java.awt.Dimension; import java.awt.Font; import java.awt.Toolkit; import javax.swing.BorderFactory; import javax.swing.ImageIcon; import javax.swing.JLabel; import javax.swing.JPanel; import javax.swing.JWindow; public class MySplash { public static MySplash INSTANCE; private static JWindow jw; public MySplash(){ createSplash(); } private void createSplash() { jw = new JWindow(); JPanel content = (JPanel) jw.getContentPane(); content.setBackground(Color.white); // Set the window's bounds, centering the window int width = 328; int height = 131; Dimension screen = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getScreenSize(); int x = (screen.width - width) / 2; int y = (screen.height - height) / 2; jw.setBounds(x, y, width, height); // Build the splash screen JLabel label = new JLabel(new ImageIcon("splash.jpg")); JLabel copyrt = new JLabel("SplashScreen Test", JLabel.CENTER); copyrt.setFont(new Font("Sans-Serif", Font.BOLD, 12)); content.add(label, BorderLayout.CENTER); content.add(copyrt, BorderLayout.SOUTH); Color oraRed = new Color(156, 20, 20, 255); content.setBorder(BorderFactory.createLineBorder(oraRed, 0)); } public synchronized static MySplash getInstance(){ if(INSTANCE==null){ INSTANCE = new MySplash(); } return INSTANCE; } public void showSplash(){ jw.setAlwaysOnTop(true); jw.toFront(); jw.setVisible(true); return; } public void hideSplash(){ jw.setAlwaysOnTop(false); jw.toBack(); jw.setVisible(false); return; } } So in my main class which extends JFrame, I call my splash screen by SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable(){ @Override public void run() { MySplash.getInstance().showSplash(); } }); However, the JWindow appears behind the all open instances of windows on my computer. Hiding the JWindow also doesn't work. SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable(){ @Override public void run() { MySplash.getInstance().hideSplash(); } });

  • How to ignore events in html table

    - by Yaron
    Hello, I have a transparent table with width:100% which contains some html content. I use the table in order to position a content element on the screen center. The table captures mouse events, and the user can't press on links which are positioned beneath it (although it is transparent). Is there a way to tell the browser to ignore events on the table? I want to capture events only from the content inside the table (and from the rest of the site). Thanks Yaron

  • for loop with count from array, limit output? PHP

    - by Philip
    print '<div id="wrap">'; print "<table width=\"100%\" border=\"0\" align=\"center\" cellpadding=\"3\" cellspacing=\"3\">"; for($i=0; $i<count($news_comments); $i++) { print ' <tr> <td width="30%"><strong>'.$news_comments[$i]['comment_by'].'</strong></td> <td width="70%">'.$news_comments[$i]['comment_date'].'</td> </tr> <tr> <td></td> <td>'.$news_comments[$i]['comment'].'</td> </tr> '; } print '</table></div>'; $news_comments is a 3 diemensional array from mysqli_fetch_assoc returned from a function elsewhere, for some reason my for loop returns the total of the array sets such as [0][2] etc until it reaches the max amount from the counted $news_comments var which is a return function of LIMIT 10. my problem is if I add any text/html/icons inside the for loop it prints it in this case 11 times even though only array sets 1 and 2 have data inside them. How do I get around this? My function query is as follows: function news_comments() { require_once '../data/queries.php'; // get newsID from the url $urlID = $_GET['news_id']; // run our query for newsID information $news_comments = selectQuery('*', 'news_comments', 'WHERE news_id='.$urlID.'', 'ORDER BY comment_date', 'DESC', '10'); // requires 6 params // check query for results if(!$news_comments) { // loop error session and initiate var foreach($_SESSION['errors'] as $error=>$err) { print htmlentities($err) . 'for News Comments, be the first to leave a comment!'; } } else { print '<div id="wrap">'; print "<table width=\"100%\" border=\"0\" align=\"center\" cellpadding=\"3\" cellspacing=\"3\">"; for($i=0; $i<count($news_comments); $i++) { print ' <tr> <td width="30%"><strong>'.$news_comments[$i]['comment_by'].'</strong></td> <td width="70%">'.$news_comments[$i]['comment_date'].'</td> </tr> <tr> <td></td> <td>'.$news_comments[$i]['comment'].'</td> </tr> '; } print '</table></div>'; } }// End function Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • LinearLayout as custom button, OnClickListener never called

    - by ohra
    I've been using the common Android Button with both icon (drawableTop) and text. It works really poorly if you want to have a non-standard size button, so I decided to make a custom button with a LinearLayout having the following layout: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" style="@style/ButtonHoloDark" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:gravity="center" android:clickable="true" android:focusable="true" android:orientation="vertical" > <ImageView android:id="@+id/buttonIcon" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:duplicateParentState="true" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/buttonText" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:duplicateParentState="true" android:gravity="center" android:textColor="@color/white" /> </LinearLayout> The layout is used by a custom class: public class CustomIconButton extends LinearLayout { public CustomIconButton(Context context, AttributeSet attrs) { super(context, attrs); setAttributes(context, attrs); LayoutInflater.from(context).inflate(R.layout.custom_icon_button, this, true); } ... But when I set an OnClickListener on my button in its parent layout it never gets called. I can only receive clicks if a set the listener to the ImageView and/or TextView. This leads to two possible effects when the button is clicked: The click is inside the ImageView or the TextView. The click is registered ok, but the buttons state drawable doesn't change i.e. it doesn't appear depressed. The click is inside the "empty area" of the button. The click is not registered, but the state drawable works ok. Neither of these is feasible. I've played around with the following attributes on the LinearLayout or its children, but none really seem to have any effect whether true or false: duplicateParentState clickable focusable There doesn't seem to be any reasonable way to get the LinearLayout parent receive clicks instead of its children. I've seen some possible solutions overriding dispatchTouchEvent or onInterceptTouchEvent on the custom component itself, but that really seems like a big mess if I have to start analyzing touch events to identify proper clicks. So OnClickListener on a LinearLayout with children = no go?

  • PHP statements, HTML and RSS

    - by poindexter
    Alrighty, I've got another little bit of code that I'm wrestling through. I'm building a conditional sidebar. The goal is to only show blog related stuff when posts in the "blog" category are being viewed. I've got part of it working, but the part where I'm trying to bring in an RSS feed of the category into the sidebar to show as recent posts. It doesn't work, and since I'm a php newb I'm not entirely sure why. Any suggestions or pointers are much appreciated. I'll post the problem section first, and then the entire php file second, so you all can see the context for the section that I'm having issues with. Problem Section: echo '<div class="panel iq-news">'; echo '<h4><span><a href="/category/blog/feed"><img src="/wp-content/themes/iq/images/rss-icon.gif" alt="Subscribe to our feed"/></a></span>IQNavigator Blog</h4>'; <?php query_posts('category_name=Blog&showposts=2'); if (have_posts()) : ?> echo '<ul>'; <?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?> echo '<li><a href="<?php the_permalink();?>"><?php the_title();?> </a></li>'; <?php endwhile;?> echo '</ul>'; <?php endif;?> echo '<div class="twitter">'; echo '<p id="twitter-updates">'; <?php twitter_updates();?> echo '</p>'; echo '<p class="text-center"><a href="http://twitter.com/iqnavigator">Follow us on twitter</a></p>'; echo '</div>'; echo '</div>'; The whole darn long statement, for context reasons: <div class="sidebar"> <?php if (!is_search() && !is_page('Our Clients') && !is_archive()){ if($post->post_parent) { $children = wp_list_pages("title_li=&child_of=".$post->post_parent."&echo=0&depth=1&exclude=85,87,89,181,97,184"); } else { $children = wp_list_pages("title_li=&child_of=".$post->ID."&echo=0&depth=1&exclude=85,87,89,181,97,184"); } if ($children) { ?> <div class="panel links subnav"> <h3>In This Section</h3> <ul class="subnav"> <?php echo $children; ?> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> </div> <?php } } if(is_page('Our Clients') || in_category('Our Clients') || is_category('Our Clients')) { echo '<div class="panel links subnav">'; echo '<h3>In This Section</h3>'; echo '<ul class="subnav">'; wp_list_categories('child_of=21&title_li='); echo '</ul>'; echo '<p>&nbsp;</p>'; echo '</div>'; } else if (in_category('Blog')) { //PUT YOUR CODE HERE // echo get_page_content(34); echo '<div class="panel featured-resource">'; echo '<h4>Blog Contributors</h4>'; echo '<ul class"subnav">'; echo '<li><a href="/company/executive-team/john-f-martin/">John Martin</a></li>'; echo '<li><a href="/company/executive-team/kieran-brady/">Kieran Brady</a></li>'; echo '<li><a href="/company/executive-team/art-knapp/">Art Knapp</a></li>'; echo '</ul>'; echo '</div>'; echo '<div class="panel iq-news">'; echo '<h4><span><a href="/category/blog/feed"><img src="/wp-content/themes/iq/images/rss-icon.gif" alt="Subscribe to our feed"/></a></span>IQNavigator Blog</h4>'; <?php query_posts('category_name=Blog&showposts=2'); if (have_posts()) : ?> echo '<ul>'; <?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?> echo '<li><a href="<?php the_permalink();?>"><?php the_title();?> </a></li>'; <?php endwhile;?> echo '</ul>'; <?php endif;?> echo '<div class="twitter">'; echo '<p id="twitter-updates">'; <?php twitter_updates();?> echo '</p>'; echo '<p class="text-center"><a href="http://twitter.com/iqnavigator">Follow us on twitter</a></p>'; echo '</div>'; echo '</div>'; //END CODE HERE } if (!is_page('Resources')) { ?> <div class="panel featured-resource"> <h4>Featured Resource</h4> <div class="embed"> <?php $custom_fields = get_post_custom(); $featured_video_code = $custom_fields['Featured Video Code']; if($featured_video_code) { foreach ( $featured_video_code as $key => $value ) { $the_code = $value; } $featured_video_link = $custom_fields['Featured Video Link']; foreach ( $featured_video_link as $key => $value ) { $the_link = $value; } $featured_video_text = $custom_fields['Featured Video Text']; foreach ( $featured_video_text as $key => $value ) { $the_text = $value; } if($the_code) { echo $the_code; } if($the_text) { echo '<ul>'; echo '<li>'; if($the_link) { echo '<a href="' . $the_link .   • CSS/JS: Evenly spreading elements across multiple lines

    How would you go about evenly spreading elements across multiple lines, for example: wrapper div: <div style="text-align: center"> elements inside: <div style="display: inline-block; padding-left: 10px; padding-right: 10px;">Element</div> Instead of only having one element on the next line (wrapped): Element 1 Element 2 Element 3 Element 4 Element 5 Element 6 It does this, spreading out the elements: Element 1 Element 2 Element 3 Element 4 Element 5 Element 6

  • Ajax, php, mysql not working mysql limit

    - by Hofmeister Ákos
    I have 3 files. list.php $articles = $mysqli->query("SELECT mainPictureBig, title, writer, writeDate, link FROM articles WHERE category=$this->category ORDER BY writeDate DESC LIMIT 0,10"); while($article = mysqli_fetch_row($articles)) { echo "<a href=\"".$this->url."/".$article[3]."/".$article[4]."\"><div id=\"listElement\"> <div id=\"listElementWallpaper\" style=\"background-image: url('category/img.jpg');\"></div> <div id=\"listElementContent\"><div id=\"listElementTitle\">".$article[1]."</div>".$this->giveWriter($article[2]).", ".$this->giveDate($article[3])."</div> </div></a>"; } $maximumElements=ceil($numberOfContent / 10) * 10; It's working, so there is no problem, it lists the first 10 elements from the sql table, and i got the $numberOfCOntent part also. Than i have a button: echo "<div id=\"listMore\"><div id=\"buttonOne\" onclick=\"listMore($this->category,$maximumElements)\">Load more</div></div>"; There is also no problem, i load the .js file, and it looks like: var from = 10; function listMore(categoryId, maximum) { $( "#listMore" ).slideUp( 200, function() { $( "#listMore" ).html("<center>Loading..</center>"); $( "#listMore" ).slideDown( 500, function() { $.post( "http://localhost/ajax.php", {type: "listMore", id: categoryId, sqlFrom: from} ) .done(function( elements ) { $("#listBody").append( elements ); if(maximum > from+10) { from = from+10; $( "#listMore" ).slideUp(200, function() { $( "#listMore" ).html("<div id=\"buttonOne\" onclick=\"listMore("+categoryId+","+maximum+")\">Load more</div>"); $( "#listMore" ).slideDown(200); }); } else $( "#listMore" ).slideUp(200); }); }); }); } And it's also working, and the problem is in the PHP file. As you can see, i'm sending an integer the "from" variable, the PHP file: $articles = $mysqli->query("SELECT mainPictureBig, title, writer, writeDate, link FROM articles WHERE category=$id ORDER BY writeDate DESC LIMIT $from,10"); It's also working, but not loading the next 10, only the next 9. So it skips the very next row and loads the rows only after the very first, so only 9. I tried to write here only the important part of the code, so i skipped some echo part etc. Any idea?

  • Vertical text alignment in Crystal Reports?

    - by George Mauer
    In the Crystal Reports editor that comes with Visual Studio (2008) is it possible to align text to the center of a text box rather than to the top? I can't find the option anywhere and a Google search is not encouraging but I just can't bring myself to believe that they would not include such an obvious feature.

Am I missing something? Thanks

  • Horizontal Scrollview inside ListView item?

    - by lanks
    I have a ListView item layout that is using a HorizontalScrollView in the center. I have used the android attribute "android:descendantFocusability="blocksDescendants"" on my parent LinearLayout so that the ListView items are still selectable. The problem I am having is that when clicking the part of the ListView item which is the HorizontalScrollView, the ListView item click event is not called. How can I get the click event of the HorizontalScrollView to call the ListView list item click event?

  • Passing password value through URL

    - by Steven Wright
    OK I see a lot of people asking about passing other values, URLS, random stuff through a URL, but don't find anything about sending a password to a password field. Here is my situation: I have a ton of sites I use on a daily basis with my work and oh about 90% require logins. Obviously remembering 80 bajillion logins for each site is dumb, especially when there are more than one user name I use for each site. So to make life easier, I drew up a nifty JSP app that stores all of my logins in a DB table and creates a user interface for the specific page I want to visit. Each page has a button that sends a username, password into the id parameters of the html inputs. Problem: I can get the usernames and other info to show up just dandy, but when I try and send a password to a password field, it seems that nothing gets received by the page I'm trying to hit. Is there some ninja stuff I need to be doing here or is it just not easily possible? Basically this is what I do now: http://addresshere/support?loginname=steveoooo&loginpass=passwordhere and some of my html looks like this: <form name="userform" method="post" action="index.jsp" > <input type="hidden" name="submit_login" value="y"> <table width="100%"> <tr class="main"> <td width="100" nowrap>Username:</td> <td><input type="text" name="loginname" value="" size="30" maxlength="64"></td> </tr> <tr class="main"> <td>Password: </font></td> <td><input type="password" name="loginpass" value="" size="30" maxlength="64"></td> </tr> <tr class="main"> <td><center><input type="submit" name="submit" value="Login"></center></td> </tr> </table> </form> Any suggestions?

  • Lightbox Plus Captions Spill Over

    - by Leah Shaune
    I am using Lightbox Plus for wordpress. My captions are spilling over and overlapping the picture when the image is in lightbox mode. The captions are covering the image and the close link, as well as being off-center. Here is my URL: http://dev.andreamarymarshall.com/archives/2012-2/ How do I make the space allowed for the captions bigger? So that in fits at least two lines of text without overlapping anything? Thanks!!

  • Equivalant of this gradient code in ie css filter

    - by Wiika
    Hi All, i need an equivalent or an alternative for this code in internet explorer using the filter method background: -moz-linear-gradient(center bottom , rgb(132, 133, 132) 0%, rgb(35, 35, 35) 49%, rgb(104, 104, 104) 100%) repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent; the most important thing in the code is the points ( 0% - 49% - 100% ) i believe that the filter method doesn't have points and doesn't accpect more than two parms for the colors , Is there a way to do it in filter or a javascript script for that ? Thanks.
