• Using the system localizations on iPhone

  I want to make a back button for a navigation controller with the title "Back" instead of the title of the previous controller. I'm using this code: UIBarButtonItem *backButton = [[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithTitle:NSLocalizedString(@"Back", @"Back") style:UIBarButtonItemStyleBordered target:nil action:nil]; self.navigationItem.backBarButtonItem = backButton; I'd like to be able to skip localizing the "Back" string in my app (since I can only localize it in a limited number of languages). If I give my navigation controller no title, the back button will be automatically localized into whatever the language the user has chosen, so the system has translations of "Back" in many languages. Is there a way to access the localizations that are already present in the system and use them myself? These are things like "Back", "Cancel", "Done" and so on, which show up when creating one of the standard system buttons.

• Asp.net control inside of fancybox modal is not "working"

  Your typical "It doesn't work" freak out going on over here. Any direction would help. I have a login control on my master page and I'm trying to only display it using jquery fancybox and then redirect the user once they are logged in. But any buttons or controls that should do "something" when pressed when I put inside the fancy box are not responding. If I keep the div visible and then use the control not using fancybox I get the expected result. What are my options?

  Please help, I have a form on wordpress. I want the user to be able to click an image instead of the standard submit button. I have the image appear and the submit button disappear - but nothing happens when I click on the image.   Hey there, Ok so this is what i've got. Button anandabutton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.anandaAddressButton); anandabutton.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View view) { Intent myIntent = new Intent(view.getContext(),MapClass.class); startActivityForResult(myIntent,0); } }); This method opens up my MapClass class which at the moment I just have set to show the location of one place. But I have a load of buttons and rather than making a lot of different mapClass classes for each button, I am wondering can I just use the one class and depending on what button 'id' is pressed, it will check an 'if statement' and then put in the correct coordinates into the method to display the map. It would be a lot neater than coding up like 20-30 classes. I'm not sure if i've explained that right so if not let me know. Thanks for any help.

• Why is my form triggering the wrong controller action?

  This form has multiple submit buttons, when clicked, it calls a simple JavaScript function to change the value of a hidden input (function is called "setHidden". This worked before, after some other not relevant code, it has ceased working. Essentially, the action it is supposed to call is never called, instead it seems to default back to a previous URL.   I am trying to install SQL Server 2008 Developer Edition x64 on a Windows Server 2008 VM. I run the installer for a standalone installation and this works fine for the setup support rules bit. That passes ok but then I get this error: TITLE: SQL Server Setup failure. SQL Server Setup has encountered the following error: Invoke or BeginInvoke cannot be called on a control until the window handle has been created.. BUTTONS: OK How can I resolve this? I am getting 2008 R2 CTP but this is just a CTP. My download is from DreamSpark. Thanks

  Hi. I'm working in a iphone view-based application. The application works this way: First view is a welcome view with buttons for load other views. Second view is a map that shows the location using gps. Third view is a search engine that loads some information to show on the map and on a list (This has two button to load map or table). Fourth view is a table view that shows the results and then loads the detail on another view and load a web site on another view.   Hi all, In my application, I'm adding a label and two buttons on cell of UItableView [I have not created a separate cell class]. I'm adding these to cell and not cell.contentview. After I run my application on IPhone, the tableview cell rendering after I move the cells up-down, is very jerky. Is it because I'm not adding the views on cell.contentView or because I've not created a custom class for cell? Can anybody please help? Thanks in advance.

• JQuery Accordion - bottom-up in stead of top-down

  Hi there, I have a question about the accordion plugin for jQuery. Basically, I've got it to work on my site nicely, there's just one thing that I'd have liked it to do and that is bottom-up opening in stead of top-down. What I mean by that is that my 3 buttons just stand in the vertical menu (div) in the bottom. And when you click it, they'll slide open but upwards, not downwards. Is there a way to achieve this easily? I've gone through the documentation, but can't find any native support for it, so I was wondering if it was possible to do it in the javascript of the plugin itself. Thanks in advance.

  My problem is about tap detection. I have a uiviewcontroller and there are some controls on uiview (labels, buttons, tableview, imageview, etc..) When I tap the uibutton I display a small uiview (200x150), if the user taps the uibuttons in smallview I hide the smallview. But I can't hide the uiview if the user taps the background. I tried this code.. -(void) touchesBegan:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event{ //NSLog(@"Touches began."); [self hideShareView]; } It doesn't work if I tap the another button in the uiviewcontrols view. I just want my uiviewcontrol's uiview to react first. I think its about firstResponder but I dont know how to set it first. edit: i want it to work like a uiPopover in ipad.

  I'm using OpenGL to render a game view in my android application. The game is turn based and I wish to add some buttons to the interface. I'd prefer to use standard Android widgets, structured in an XML-generated layout (or, if I have to, a hardcoded layout) and put the OpenGL view in its own window as part of that layout. So in regards to this, I have 3 questions: 1: Is such a thing possible? I've done a few half-hearted tries, but have had no luck so far. 2: Is such a thing advisable? Does it carry a significant performance penalty, for example, over using OpenGL-based homebrew widgetry? 3: Is it possible to pass particular arguments to instances created in XML layouts? For example, my current OpenGL view has three arguments in its constructor; is it somehow possible for me to invoke that particular constructor with particular parameters when it's part of a layout?

  I have a jQuery UI dialog box with a form. I would like to simulate a click on one of the dialog's buttons so you don't have to use the mouse or tab over to it. In other words, I want it to act like a regular GUI dialog box where simulates hitting the "OK" button. I assume this might be a simple option with the dialog, but I can't find it in the jQuery UI documentation.   I hava a simple program about video recording . I use the surfaceView to show the preview screen. and I also want to put some buttons on the screen. I put all the component mentioned above into a XML file which is "ipcam.xml" I use MediaRecorder , SurfaceView , SurfaceHolder to complete this program because the preview screen does not orientate correctly when I rotate my phone. so I use "setRequestedOrientation(ActivityInfo.SCREEN_ORIENTATION_LANDSCAPE);" but , the button in the program is always in LANDSCAPE direction . it will not auto change direction when I rotate my phone , but the preview is ok!! so is there anyway to solve this problem.
