In recognition of this fact, JBatch (aka Java Batch, JSR 352, Batch Applications for the Java Platform) was added to Java EE 7. In a recent article JBatch specification lead Chris Vignola of IBM provides a high level overview of the API. He discusses the core concepts/motivation, the Job Specification Language, the reader-processor-writer pattern, job operator, job repository, chunking, packaging, partitions, split/flow and the like.   • How can I restore /usr/share/fonts on 10.04?

    I did something extremely stupid. I'm currently working on a 10.04 system (work-related), and since I was missing some fonts I decided to simply copy some over from my own, 12.10 system. I ran cp -R <12.10 root/usr/share/fonts/truetype/* /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ Immediately, terminal and window header fonts got completely messed up, although chromium still shows everything correctly, as does nautilus. How can I restore this directory? Is there anything else I have do afterwards? Thanks a bunch, Chris For shits and giggles, here's how it looks.

  • Warping Images using cvWarpPerspective Results in Some Parts of the images out of the viewable area

    Hi, I am trying to stich two images together. In order to do so I extracted sift features and find matches on the two images using this C implementation. http://web.engr.oregonstate.edu/~hess/index.html After that I found the homography matrix using the matched points. http://www.ics.forth.gr/~lourakis/homest/ But if I use this Homography Matrix in "cvWarpPerspective" function, some of the parts of the image goes out of the viewable area (negative corrdinates). To solve this I tried to calculate the bounding box first by piping the four corners of the image through Homography matrix. And move the initial image then warp it. But this caused the warping result to change. Is there any way for warping an image and keeping it in the viewable area? I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance...

    I need to remove some malware from my computer. It is a trojan, and very annoying. It blocks access to Google and search sites. The trojan, with its name spelled out on each line cause it seems to block sites when i reference it in a url, is a r t (some text to mess it up) e m (more text i s First off, what is it, what does it do? Second, why can't I access google or yahoo or any other search sites at all? Third, can it be removed via McAffee? It says it quarantined it when I scanned I found a suspicious process "c"s"r"s"s".exe and it will not let me terminate it, and this is what Mcaffee says it is. Why on earth isn't Mcaffee getting rid of it? I even blocked internet access for this program. Thanks so much, I get kinda freaked out with things like this...   • Flex Repeater: Delay repeater until rest of view has loaded

    Hi, I have a flex repeater for an accordion inside a TitleWindow that is quite slow, I've already set recycleChildren to true, which has helped, but it's still slow on the first load and causes the animation to stutter when I open the TitleWindow. The repeater is just one part of what's visible in the TitleWindow, what I would like to do is have the repeater load after the rest of the content in the TitleWindow so the animation of the TitleWindow being opened doesn't stutter (the main problem). Can anyone suggest what the best way to achieve that might be? Thanks, Chris

  • Keyboard layout for international programmers?

    I think everybody who had to program using a standard German (or any other international) keyboard layout on Windows (or Mac) will complain about the conundrum of either having all special characters ( [ ] | { } / etc. ) needed for most programming languages "at the fingertip" and "losing" the language specific characters (umlauts ä ö ü etc.) on the keyboard or viceversa: having simple access to umlauts, but not to brackets etc. If you are programming in C / C++ / C# / Java / Javascript for example, it is very exhausting if you have to press Alt-Gr + 7 for every opening curly bracket. It is an ergonomic nightmare and reduces your typing efficiency. What is the best way to cope with this problem? Is there a satisfying solution? Maybe there are special layouts or keyboards which address this issue?

    Why does static char *opcode_str[] = { "DATA" , "DATA_REQUEST_ACK" , "ACK_TIMER_EXPIRED" , "ACK_UNEXPECTED_SEQ" , "ACK_AS_REQUESTED" } ; work, but static char **opcode_str = { "DATA" , "DATA_REQUEST_ACK" , "ACK_TIMER_EXPIRED" , "ACK_UNEXPECTED_SEQ" , "ACK_AS_REQUESTED" } ; fails with SEGV when opcode_str[0] is printf'd? I think it's because the second listing has not allocated memory for the five element array of pointers, but I need a more comprehensive explanation. All the best, Chris.
