    I have a web deployment project that does a web.config section replacement using an external file. (this is to change the connection strings section). The web.config section replacement works fine when built manually, but when built as part of a TFS build the section is not replaced. I cannot find any errors or warnings in the build log.     Hello, I changed some names of nameapces, assemblies in one of exsisting project(C# and ASP.NET). But when I try to debug it; I get this error. Could not load file or assembly 'HR' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040). I have replced DFI with HR in the code. Please help, Thank you

In development (Debug inside Visual Studio), everything look nice, all images show, all javascript works and all CSS display perfectly. When we do a package and install everything with IIS all images from Javascript or CSS doesn't display and. Question is : Since we cannot use the tilde (~) in javascript or in CSS what is the way to display those resources?

    I am currently trying to add 301 redirect to my routes in MVC to do this I have tried to inherit from the MvcHandler.     Is there a debugging system that allows me to record javascript function calls and their parameters as they occur? this would allow me to trace and debug applications in live/client situations without the performance hit due to manual logging. Edit: I'm not talking about manually calling functions using a 'console' window and viewing the results, or manually adding 'trace' or 'log' commands into my javascript. I need it to work with any running javascript.

  • How can I get valgrind to tell me the address of each non-freed block of memory?

    Valgrind tells me function xxx allocated memory which was not freed. Fine. It's proving more difficult than usual to trace however. To this end I have created numerous: #ifdef DEBUG fprintf(stderr, "something happening:%lx\n", (unsigned long)ptr); #endif So I just need to match these ptr addresses that are displayed with the addresses of non-freed memory. How can I get valgrind to tell me the address of each non-freed block of memory?

    Is there a way to trace through function calls at the lowest levels of the Android system? Right now when I debug in Eclipse, it goes through the source files that are located inside the frameworks folder, but is it possible to go even lower? For example show what functions are being called from the libcore folder. I am also interested to find how it communicates with the linux kernel at the bottom of the layers. Is there a way to do this? Thanks

    I have an entry in my crontab that looks like this: 0 3 * * * pg_dump mydb | gzip > ~/backup/db/$(date +%Y-%m-%d).psql.gz That script works perfectly when I execute it from the shell, but it doesn't seem to be running every night. I'm assuming there's something wrong with the permissions, maybe crontab is running under a different user or something. How can I debug this? I'm a shared hosting environment (WebFaction).

    Hi, I am currently developing a J2EE application and I would like to use Jetty. I would like to have iot integrated with Eclipse, so I could debug the appliaction. I've tried out couple of plugins (including WTP) but nothing works well enough. Run Jetty Run plugin is the best, but I cannot specify context-root in it, which makes it unusable for me. What would you recommend?

    I have a method, which I wish to execute on the UI message pump and thus do the following: private void SomeMethod() { BeginInvoke(new MethodInvoker(MethodToInvoke)); } private void MethodToInvoke() { // This method contains code that I wish to execute on UI message pump. } Now, the above works just fine when I create a Debug build of the project. However, when I create a Release build, the "MethodToInvoke" method does not get invoked. Does anyone have any idea why this might be? Thanks, Elan

  • Automatically creating C# wrappers from c headers?

    Is there a way to automatically create p/invoke wrappers for .net from a c header? Of course I could create them by hand, but maintaining them would be painful, and I'd probably make a mistake somewhere resulting in hard to debug crashes. I tried SWIG, but it created full classes where simple structs would be sufficient. I'd prefer if the output worked on mono too, but that is not necessary.
