• Handling session between two pages in iframe-based facebook app.

  I'm a newbie to iframe based facebook application and stuck with session related problems. There are just two pages in my app. First page got many fb_sig_* parameters from facebook platform but when I click a anchor to next page, those fb_sig_* were lost because this is just direct request from end user's browser not from facebook. So I found that http://forum.developers.facebook.com/viewtopic.php?id=52885. It was told that I should not using cookie and always append every fb_sig* to every anchor. This can be the only solution for my problems? Any side effect like session expiry problem?

• NHibernate filters don't work with Session.Get

  I'm trying to implement a Soft-deletable repository. Usually this can be easily done with a Delete Event listener. To filter out the deleted entities, I can add a Where attribute to my class mapping. However, I also need to implement two more methods in the repository for this entity: Restore and Purge. Restore will "undelete" entities and Purge will hard-delete them. This means I can't use Where attribute (since it block out soft-deleted entities to any access) I tried using filters instead. I can create a filter and enable or disable it within session to achieve the same result. But the problem is filters don't have any effect on Session.Get method (they only affect ICriteria based access). Any ideas as to how solve this problem? Thanks

• How to stop toggle event from being fired multiple times on mouseenter/mouseleave?

  Hi, I'm using jQuery to toggle the visibility of a using the jQuery toggle method. The toggle is fired on the mouseenter and mouseleave event, thus creating the effect of the div to fold out on mouseenter and fold in on mouseleave. Problem is, if the user drags the mouse over the a few times and then leaves the , the div will toggle in and out several times. This can happen if the user accidentally moves around the mouse pointer in the are. Do anyone have any idea on how I can avoid this behavior? Thanx!

  Hi, I'm trying to map a C structure to Java using JNA. I came across something that I've never seen. The struct definition is as follow, struct op { unsigned op_type:9; //---> what does this means? unsigned op_opt:1; unsigned op_latefree:1; unsigned op_latefreed:1; unsigned op_attached:1; unsigned op_spare:3; U8 op_flags; U8 op_private; }; you can see some variable being defined like unsigned op_attached:1 and I'm unsure what would that mean: would that effect number of bytes to be allocated for this particular variable? any help? • Is it actually possible to connect to ActiveMQ via XMPP and query/browse queues using "AciveMQ.Agen

  I tried what I think are 4 most popular XMPP (aka "Jabber") clients (Spark, Pidgin, Psi, Pandion) to connect to ActiveMQ instance (Apache ActiveMQ ver. 5.3.0) on XMMP connector with an idea to use the "AciveMQ.Agent chatroom" for querying queues/etc and no success at all Some of them fail with 'Unknown error', some don't fail but kind of "hang"... interestingly, some communication does indeed reach the ActiveMQ side, because when I close a client it spits an exception "could not close" or something to that effect... and if I try "register new user" option (present on most clients" the ActiveMQ also spits some most cryptic warning message But I was never able to get to the point when I could see or specify "ActiveMQ.Agent" as chatroom and issue any commands... Before I waste any more time on this curious feature, I would like to hear whether anyone had any success with it? Thank you! PS: BTW, the book "ActiveMQ in Action book" http://www.manning.com/snyder/ shows that it is apparently works and is very easy using some Mac client (AdiumX), but I wanted it on a Windows PC ;)

  Hello. Can 'Entity Framework' be used for the purpose of entity definition at application runtime? Ok, to make it simple, here is what I want to achieve: My application is a product. I should be able to define entities at runtime on the basis of inputs gathered from an 'authoring' user (in effect this means 'model first' approach). These entities are of course persistable. Further, after having defined the entities and their relationships, I should be able to make complex queries across them for many reasons, including reports. Is the above possible and how? So far what I have realized is that there is a dependency on Visual Studio.

• Auto height for label or textview within table view cell

  Hi Folks, I have a problem in an iPhone application. Application has a table view controller with custom table view cells. Each cell has a Label (please correct me if I need to use text view etc). I am getting text dynamically from a web service call and I don't know how long text gonna be. Now problem is that I want to adjust the table view cell height based on text I receive. How can I grow Label or TextView height withinin table view cell so it can contain all the text and in effect grow table view cell height. Does anyone know how to handle this kind of design problem? • How do I dynamically name objects in Java?

  Let's say I needed to make a series of String[] objects. I know that if i wanted to make a string array called "test" to hold 3 Strings I could do String[] test = new String[3]; But let's say I needed to make a series of these arrays and I wanted them to be named, 1,2, 3, 4, 5... etc. For however many I needed and I didn't know how many I'd need. How do I achieve a similar effect to this: for (int k=0; k=5; k++){ String[] k = new String[3]; } Which would created 5 string arrays named 1 through 5. Basically I want to be able to create array objects with a name detemined by some other function. Why can't I seem to do this? Am I just being stupid?

• jQuery click event to make a div slide down and push next div out of viewport

  I'm trying to figure out how to make jQuery slide #content2 down and replace content1 with it while making it look like #content1 is actually being pushed down by #content1 removing it from view... Then the same button that was clicked to make #content2 replace #content1 would also need to do the reverse effect by replacing #content2 with #content1 making them slide up and push each other out of the way... So I will have at least two branches (named master and develop) in the repository. After a clone the master branch is checked out by git. Is there a git config option so that develop branch will be checked out instead? In effect I want git clone my_repo_url to behave as git clone -b develop my_repo_url.

  I have a UIPopoverController which I'm trying to show from a UIBarButtonItem in a navigation bar. Despite setting the resizing mask for the tableview inside the popover's content viewController, it takes up the whole height of the screen. The only thing which has any effect on the content size is menuPopover.contentViewController.view setFrame:CGRect. I'm using the code below to show the popover inside the left hand side of a UISplitViewController // menuPopover and editVc are properties on the parent viewController menuPopover = [[UIPopoverController alloc] initWithContentViewController:editVc]; [menuPopover presentPopoverFromBarButtonItem:btnMenu permittedArrowDirections:UIPopoverArrowDirectionAny animated:true]; [menuPopover setPopoverContentSize:CGSizeMake(400, 500) animated:true]; [menuPopover.contentViewController.view setFrame:CGRectMake(0,0,400, 500)]; Yet this is what I'm seeing. • Do comments slow down an interpreted language?

  I am asking this because I use Python, but it could apply to other interpreted languages as well (ruby, php). Whenever I leave a comment in my code, is it slowing down the interpreter? My limited understanding of an interpreter is that it reads program expressions in as strings and converts those strings into code. It seems that every time it parses a comment, that is wasted time. Is this the case? Is there some convention for comments in interpreted languages, or is the effect negligible?

• Using jQuery to rapidly scroll through a countdown

  I have a webpage that displays the number 0, and when the user presses "start", the number should rapidly increasing until it reaches a target number (maybe 10,000 or so) a few seconds later. I'd like the numbers to scroll by as if they're on a slot machine wheel. I've managed to mostly hack something together using the ScrollTo plugin, but it's slow and choppy. It always stops briefly at certain divs along the way. Perhaps I'm using it wrong. Is there a better way to accomplish such an effect?

• How can I override an HTML "rules" attribute using CSS?

  The DITA Open Toolkit automatically inflicts some inline table attributes when one publishes to HTML, including frame="border" and rules="all". I need to override this "rules" attribute using CSS styles for cells, and while I can get the desired result in IE and Chrome, Firefox puts solid black gridlines in the table and refuses to budge on the matter. Obviously I can't edit the HTML, company policy is to not edit the XSLT, so how can I remove these gridlines using CSS alone? I've tried various cunning combinations of border-xxxxxx styles and given them !important declarations to no effect. Thanks, Andrew

  Question: Can anyone point to an article or code samples anywhere on how to provide BOTH editing AND range selection in a TStringGrid? Yes, I KNOW there are third-party grids that do this, but it's frustrating that the built-in grid lacks this basic capability. Background: It's pretty normal to expect to be able to both edit a cell in a grid, and also to select a range of cells such as for a Copy operation. As delivered, TStringGrid doesn't do that. It's either/or. In fact, the docs tell us about the grid Options, "When goEditing is included in Options, goRangeSelect has no effect". However, it looks like it may be possible to do editing and rangeselects in a TStringGrid anyway!!! Through careful use of the mousedown, mouseup, selectcell and exit events, you can get dang close by switching editing elements on and off at the right times. But I still don't have it perfect, and that only covers mouse use, not keyboard changes.

  Hi, I need to have an image at the top-center of a web page in css. Now, Im just using the background-image: in css but this puts it at the middle of the page. • Seeking References To MSVC 9.0's C++ Standards Compliance

  I "know" (hopefully) that MSVC 9.0 Implements C++ 2003 (ISO/IEC 14882:2003). I am looking for a reference to this fact, and I am also looking for any research that has been done in to how compliant MSVC 9.0 is with that version of the Standard. I have searched for and not been able to find a specific reference from MicroSoft that actually says something to the effect that MSVC implements C++ 2003. Some of the out-of-date documentation says things like "this release achieves roughly 98% compliance" (when referring to MSVC .NET 2003's conformance to C++ 1997). But I want a link to a document from MS that says "MSVC 9.0 implements blah," and another link to an independent group that has tested the conformance of MSVC 9.0. Do you know of any such links?

  I want to draw the desktop on Mac OS X (Snow Leopard). Specifically, I want to achieve the same effect as running: /System/Library/Frameworks/ScreenSaver.framework/Resources/ ScreenSaverEngine.app/Contents/MacOS/ScreenSaverEngine -background (If you’re not near your computer, this displays the screensaver where you would normally see your desktop background.) I know how to make a window without a border (by subclassing NSWindow and overriding initWithContentRect:styleMask:backing:defer: to set the window style to NSBorderlessWindowMask) and without a shadow (setHasShadow:NO.) I know that I can call setLevel:kCGDesktopWindowLevel or kCGDesktopIconWindowLevel to put my window below other windows (see question 418791.) However this isn’t exactly what I want, because a window at this level is still on top of the desktop icons. I want to be on top of the desktop background, but below the icons. My view is opaque. If there is a technique that clobbers the desktop background, that is OK.
