  • Determine if e-mail message can be successfully sent

    Hello Everyone, I am working in a mailing application in C# and, basically, I need to be able to determine which recipients successfully received the message, which ones did not, no matter what was the failure reason. In summary, I need an exception to be thrown whenever the email address does not exist, for example. However, SmtpClient.Send does not throw an exception in this case, so I'd need to monitor the delivery failure replies and parse them, maybe. I know this is not a simple task, so I'd ask you experts some tips on how to handle the main issues with email sending. Thanks in advance!!

    I have an arraylist that holds a subset of names found in my database. I need to write a query to get a count of the people in the arraylist for certain sections i.e. There is a field "City" in my database from the people in the arraylist of names I want to know how many of them live in Chicago, how many live in New York etc. Can someone help me how I might set up an sql statement to handle this. I think somehow I have to pass the subset of names to sql somehow.

    Hello Guys, I have a datatable with plenty of records. And i have a range like lowerRange = 10 and upperRange = 200. I want the pull the records starting at row 10 till row 200. Now i don't want to add any new index based column into the datatable. Is there any way with the help of linq, i can pull the set of rows based on some internal datatable index? I guess, the datatable must be maintaining some row index implicitly. Please suggest.

    Is there any library that achieves the following: Convert Microsoft Windows 98 Microsoft Windows XP Windows 7 Windows Ultimate Desktop Windows to Windows 4 The complicated part here is to recognize that "Desktop Windows" is an anomaly here and not count it. If nothing is added before the word "Windows", perhaps it can be counted but if there is something else and the suffix does not match any popular suffix, it can still be counted. Maybe I am a little vague here but perhaps someone could have an idea about what I am talking about here. Any suggestions?

  • Are there any CMS editors out there which users can populate locked down HTML templates with content

    Hi there, We work in email marketing, creating HTML/TEXT emails for clients. In essence we design HTML email templates for our clients. Clients then post us content (via a form) to populate these templates before we send them out. Right now we do this manually, basically cutting and pasting the content from their submitted form into the relevant parts of the template, which is time consuming and particularly mind-numbing. What we're looking for (and have so far been unable to find) is a simple system which will allow us to capture this client content in a sort of WYSIWYG HTML format. Basically they populate a locked down version of the template, entering text where necessary, before submitting to us. This is our most basic requirement, and a friend of mine kindly demo'd a proof of concept here: http://advantageone.co.uk/mbe/ Note: If you click on a text area in the body of the template, an editor pop ups. Now what we are looking for a CMS editor out there which can be easily adapted to do the above and the following for our end clients? User login View previously submitted campaigns that they have created and edit these Create new - selecting from template (assigned to their user/client id), perhaps being able to add new rows to the template. And have these HTML templates locked down so they can only edit what they're allowed too (like in the demo above), and perhaps make some areas required. Perhaps have a simple workflow or approval built in Allow us to lock submitted campaigns after a point so they can't be further edited, and as administrators view all campaigns from all users Be so incredibly simple, with any extraneous functionality switched off Essentially an extremley simple stripped down CMS, but we use the outputted HTML for sending out as an email, rather than publishing onto the web. Now to the actual dilemma: we're looking for something really simple, and the above sounds like a CMS. But we haven't been able to find anything that already does, or can be easily adapted to do this. Everything is either too complex, or simple and inflexible. We're sure there must be something off the shelf available, rather than us coding something ourselves. But we've kind of got stuck. Does anyone know of a system, or could recommend a system that can do the above out of the box, or with a few days tweaking?     How can I search for results in Mongo DB documents using an associative array key. Something like: SELECT * FROM table WHERE keyword like '%searchterm%'; Here is the basic document structure [id] => 31605 [keywords] => Array ( [keyword1] => Array ( [name] => KeyWord1 ) [keyword2] => Array ( [name] => KeyWord2 ) ... ) I would like to do a search within the keywords array on the associative array key [keyword1, keyword2]. The issue is that the name key holds the case-sensitive version of the keyword and the array key is the lower-case keyword name. I could store the lowercase keyword twice, but that seems silly.

    OK, I am still getting the hang of MATLAB. I have two files in different format. One Excel file. data1.xls, size= 86400 X 62. It looks like: Date/Time par1 par2 par3 par4 par5 par6 par6 par7 par8 par9 08/02/09 00:06:45 0 3 27 9.9 -133.2 0 0 0 1 0 Another file, data2.csv, size = 144 X 27. (If nothing is missing.) It looks like: date time P01 P02 P03 P04 P05 P06 P07 P08 P09 P10 P11 8/16/2009 0:00 51 45 46 54 53 52 524 5 399 89 78 Now I am using Data10minAvg = mean(reshape(Data,300,144,62)); to get the 10 min average of the first Excel file. Now I need to match up that file I am making above with the .csv file. The problem is many timestamps are missing in the .csv file. How do I make data2.csv into a file of size 144 X 27, replacing the missing datestamps by rows of zero? It will really help me than compare data1.xls file with newdata2.csv.

    Hello SO; I'm trying to convert xml elements whose content is a csv list of identifiers, the exact form doesn't matter. I want to exclude every item that contains the character "/". The best I've come up with is translate(./someElement, ",*/*", "") but this has at least two problems; I'm pretty sure that xsl doesn't accept wildcards, and "," is an illegal character in xpaths. Is there a straightforward way to do this sort of thing?

    I'm currently trying to perform a deep crawl within a small list of sites. To accomplish this, I updated conf/domain-urlfilter.txt with the domains of the sites I wish to scrape, which worked nicely. However, I found that not only were the links crawled at every step filtered, but the outlinks captured from each page crawled were filtered as well. Is there a way to avoid filtering captured outlinks while still filtering crawled URLs?
