  I am looking for an enterprise-grade service or a tool that can be used to scan / fingerprint websites and notify when major XHTML code changes are detected. The tool should be able to continuously scan thousands of websites and determine the percentage of HTML code that has been modified since the last run. And then either save the data where it can be easily accessed or send periodic notifications. I know of services like ChangeDetect.com, but they don't do markup only changes and instead focus on everything, including content. We don't really care about presentation content, because a lot of sites we need to cover are updated frequently with content.

It needed to output the native files in the folio along with a manifest file in HTML format which would list the contents of the folio along with any designated metadata and a relative link to the file within the download.  This way a person could hand someone the folio download and it would be a self-contained package with all of the content and a single file to display the information on the contents.  The default Zip rendition of the folio will output the web-viewable version of the file with an HDA formatted file for each one.   I want to move my current Tumblr blog to static HTML blog. Currently I am using a custom domain, I am planning on doing the move when Google sees domain name change. I am considering two options: Buying a hosting service Using GitHub pages Buying a hosting service would probably mean I am going to pay for lots of things that I don't need like PHP, MySQL, e-mail service etc. On the other hand, if I use GitHub pages, I can't use .htaccess file to make 301 redirects. I want to change my URL structure and this is important to me. I was wondering if I use: <meta http-equiv=refresh content="0; url=http://example.com/newurl" /> Would Google see it as 301 redirect, so that I won't use my search engine value?

  Hi, I've got a script that changes the background colour of text that has been selected. However i'm encountering an issue when the text is selected across multiple elements/tags. The code that i've got is: var text = window.getSelection().getRangeAt(0); var colour = document.createElement("hlight"); colour.style.backgroundColor = "Yellow"; text.surroundContents(colour); And the error being output is: Error: The boundary-points of a range does not meet specific requirements. = NS_ERROR_DOM_RANGE_BAD_BOUNDARYPOINTS_ERR Line: 7 I believe this is to do with the getRange() function though i'm not too sure how to proceed since I am a beginner at javascript. • cvs to mercurial conversion gets tags wrong

  I've tried all the recommended conversion techniques Mostly they manage to get the latest version of the files right, but every one of them trashes my history. Many (most?) of the tags from my cvs project have at least one file in error when I run "hg up $tag" My cvs repo is not all that complicated. Why can't anything convert it? I'd like to dump cvs and convert to mercurial, but not without history. To recap my frustration: I tried hg convert (tried --branchsort,--timesort, fuzz=0) I tried cvs2svn and then hg convert. tailor does not work with recent versions of mercurial fromcvs disappeared from the face of the earth hg-cvs-import has been abandoned for 4 years and doesn't work with recent versions of hg I have tried using the two most recent versions of mercurial ( 1.5 and 1.5.1 ).

  I'm using custom WordPress categories for some probably unintended functions, I will admit (things like marking a post no/index just by adding it to my custom "no-index" category, etc). But it sucks that WordPress does not enable pages with all the little extras you get with posts. For example, while the post editor gives you convenient access to Tags, Categories, and a Post excerpt field, pages get left out in the cold.   I'm confused about the Emacs indentation paradigm. I have this in my .emacs file: (setq-default tab-width 4) If I press TAB in the following situation <ul> (caret) </ul> it end up like this <ul> (caret) </ul> (with 2 spaces indentation between the HTML tags.) It should end up like this: <ul> (caret) </ul> I tried everything: (setq-default tab-width 4) (setq-default indent-tabs-mode t) (setq tab-stop-list '(4 8 12 16)) I've set every possible Emacs setting about indentation to 4 but that 2 space indentation is still there. Any suggestions?

This works fine with some websites but for some sites i am not getting all the scripts present. I installed the user script in both firefox and chrome the issue is the number of scripts for the same site is different in both browsers.   I'm new to stack overflow, made a few responses. I responded to a question that was something like: "I need to do X, I found a sed one liner that almost does it, but not quite" And was tagged 'sed'. I assumed the user just wanted a solution and tagged it with sed because it was a possible answer. So I suggested an alternate way using another tool that was more concise and didn't involve regex (another one-liner). I received a down vote for not meeting the requirement of the user. Since I'd like to make sure I conform to good forum etiquette, my question is: Are tags considered hard requirements that should limit the scope of responses? (within reason of course, a .NET question with a .NET tag obviously shouldn't receive a ruby answer).

However, while an input in an app does output the text properly, same input in another app does not output the text properly -it outputs the <p> <li> tags etc... • Can't use static const as param in function call within binding tags in Flex 3

For some reason, Urban Airship is making each character of the string into its own tag. I've tried to substitute the - for a string neg with the same results. What's wrong?

  I'm trying to automate the build process for engineering group. As part of that automation, I'm trying to get to a point where the act of applying a specific tag that adheres to a pattern will kick off an automated process that will do the following: Check out source code Create a build script from a template Build the project I'm pretty certain I could do this with a post-hook in subversion, but I'm trying to figure out a way to do this with something other than a subversion hook. Would it make sense to monitor the tags directory in the subversion repository to kick off my workflow? Are there any decent tools that help with this (.NET would be great if possible). Am I better off just writing an engine to do this? My preferences: Existing product that does all or part of this If development work needs to occur, .NET is preferable Works with Windows (we've got a Linux based repo, but builds all occur on windows)

  I'm trying to come up with a validation expression to prevent users from entering html or javascript tags into a comment box on a web page. The following works fine for a single line of text: ^(?!.(<|)).$ ..but it won't allow any newline characters because of the dot(.). If I go with something like this: ^(?!.(<|))(.|\s)$ it will allow multiple lines but the expression only matches '<' and '' on the first line. I need it to match any line. This works fine: ^[-_\s\d\w"'.,:;#/&\$\%\?!@+*\()]{0,4000}$ but it's ugly and I'm concerned that it's going to break for some users because it's a multi-lingual application. Any ideas? Thanks!

  Hi all, could anyone take a look at this for me? Problem: trying to output a csv on demand using Zend Framework. I want to avoid creating files on the system so I'm trying to use the same solution posted here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1136264/export-csv-in-zend-framework However - I'm still getting html and body tags in the csv.
