  • Zend Framework - validators are not working anymore?

    Eariler I happily used the following code for creating form elements (inside Zend_Form descendant): //Set for options $this->setOptions(array( 'elements' => array( 'title' => array( 'type' => 'text', 'options' => array( 'required' => true, 'label' => 'Title', 'filters' => array('StringTrim'), 'validators' => array( array('StringLength', false, array('minLength'=>1, 'maxLength'=>50)), ), ) ) )); But now I've noticed that validators are not working.. I suspect this might be due to zend updates.. Does anyone face this problem?

  • Route all requests through PageController except existing controllers (Zend Framework)

    For a new CMS i've developed a Pages module that allows me to manage the site's tree structure. Each page is reachable from the url http://www.example.com/pageslug/ where pageslug identifies the page being called. What I want to achieve now is a route that allows me to route all incoming requests to a single PagesController unless it's a request to an existing controller (like images for example). It's easy enough to catch all requests to the Pages Controller but how to exclude existing controllers? This is my module bootstrap.     How can I validate (a form element in this case) to ensure that the value is a currency? Have looked at Zend_Validate_Float. Needs to check that value is between 0 and 2dp. Ideally locale-aware (as ZVF is) to allow for locale specific formatting (thousands, decimal as comma/dot) Would also want to extend to allow/disallow negative values And provide optional upper/lower limits. Is the key, as I can do 3. and 4. with a chain. Do I need regex?

    I'm developing a cms that allows editing everything on the page (generated server-side with a template engine) by just clicking on it — the area turns into input field, textarea or a full-featured tinyMCE editor, Template defines editable elements like "page heading", "copyright footer text", "image", "rich text block" etc. Along with that there's always a flotaing panel with several tabs, some of which contain general settings like page bacground color, font settings etc, but some are context sensitive (e.g., the clicking on "image" editable field triggers to display uploading/cropping/captioning interface in the floating panel). All settings in the panel are either simple inputs or sliders or checkboxes. I'm new to using MVC with javascript, and in fact haven't used it much before. jQuery is used as code library for the project. Should i use JavascriptMVC, SproutCore or anything else? Does any of them allow some kind of sandboxing (within bounds of commmon sense) to allow some javascript code by user-generated skins on my cms? thank you!

    Hello I have Motorola MC55 with Windows Mobile 6.5 on-board. This nice palm contains also an embedded bar-code scanner. My question is - Will I need anything special in .NET CF in order to use the bar-code scanner? I would expect that the bar-code are read as normal strings and delivered as keyboard events? Often apps with ZF looks like that: root public index.php .htaccess application library I have sth. like that: root application index.php .htaccess All my code is in the application folder. But there are also some .ini and .xml files with sensitive information e.g. login names and passwords and so on... If I add a .htaccess in the application folder with deny from all is the information secure inside the folder?

  • Zend Framework - applying order by on a nested query

    Hey guys This might be a very simple thing. Check out the normal sql query below (select * from shopping order by shopping_id desc limit 5) order by RAND() This query runs successfully in mysql - not sure if this is the right way of doing it - but it works. It gets the last 5 ids from shopping table and randomly orders them everytime I want to achieve this in Zend. I'm not sure how to execute the first part and then apply the RAND clause to the results - what I have below does not do that. $select = $this-select() -from(array('sh'='shopping')) -order('shopping_id desc') -limit(5) -order('RAND()');

  • Using Zend Framework and Doctrine with independend modular structures

    I've seen a lot of articles about integrating ZF and Doctrine. There is also a proposal for ZF here but they have always two possible structures. Either they put all models into one top level model directory or they put it into a module related model directory. application |-- Bootstrap.php |-- configs |-- controllers |-- models - EITHER HERE |-- modules | -- examplemodule | |-- controllers | |-- models - OR HERE | |-- views |-- views For our projects I see problems for either of the two options: 1. One directory: application/models - in a complex system after a short time there will be hundreds of files, over all when you have the table classes two (e.g. User.php and UserTable.php). 2. Module based model directories: application/modules/examplemodule/models - in many cases we use models in multiple modules at the same time. So the "User" is required e.g. in the modules "game", "administration", ... Is there a way to use some kind of sub directories under the top level directory "models" to get some grouping. It should be completely independent of the module structure. application |-- Bootstrap.php ... |-- models | -- user | |-- User.php | |-- Friend.php | |-- other user related models | -- game | |-- Game.php | |-- Score.php | |-- ... ... Any solution should support autoloading and the class generation from yaml files. Any ideas, links or solutions? Thanks!

    hello, I would like to leave the textbox via code. when user clicks in the textbox, and types in something , and then the user will click outside the textbox. on the screen there are just labels. only this one textbox is on the form. my problem is, that the textbox does not lost focus when I click everywhere on the screen. the texbox it still has the focus. this textbox is used to filter a list, built from labels. the complete story is: - I have no mainmenu on the screen, so the Sip icon is not visible - user clicks in the textbox, and i bring up the SIP, in the textbox.GotFocus event - user types in some letters, the list is filtered - if user clicks away, the SIP disappears (textbox.lostfocus), but the textbox still has the focus, I mean the cursor remains in the textbox - when user wants to type some other letters for filtering, it clicks in the textbox, but GotFocus does not fire how can I make the texbox to loose the focus?

    Hello, When I call the method findDependentRowset, the returning rowset contains all the rows in the dependent table, and not only the rowsets that matches the reference. Hoping someone could explain this, since I was of the assumption that findDependentRowset would only return rowset matching my 'rule'? I have the following DbTable Models: class Model_DbTable_Advertisement extends Zend_Db_Table_Abstract { protected $_name = 'Advertisements'; protected $_primary = 'Id'; protected $_dependentTables = array ( 'Model_DbTable_Image', ); } class Model_DbTable_Image extends Zend_Db_Table_Abstract { protected $_name = 'Images'; protected $_primary = 'Id'; protected $_referenceMap = array( 'Images' => array( 'column' => 'AdvertisementId', 'refColumn' => 'Id', 'refTableClass' => 'Model_DbTable_Advertisement', ) ); } Now when i execute the following: (Simplified for Question sake) $model = new Model_DbTable_Advertisement(); $rowSet = $model->fetchAll(); $row = $rowSet->current(); $dRow = $row->findDependentRowset('Model_DbTable_Image'); I would expect $dRow to only contain 'Images' that has the same advertisementId as $row, but instead i receive all rows in the Images table.
