  • Writing Lucene StandardAnalyzer results to text file with OutputStreamWriter

    - by user3693192
    I'm getting ONLY the last result written to "outputStreamFile.txt". Can't figure out how to revise code so I can get ALL results written to text file. Sample input text: "1st line of text\n" "2nd line of text \n" Results in only 2nd line begin written (and not 1st line) as: "2nd line text\n" private static void analyze(String text) throws IOException { analyzer = new StandardAnalyzer(Version.LUCENE_30); Reader r = new StringReader(text); TokenStream ts = (TokenStream) analyzer.tokenStream("", r); TermAttribute term = ts.addAttribute(TermAttribute.class); File outfile = new File("C:\\Users\\Desktop\\outputStreamFile.txt"); FileOutputStream fileOutputStream = new FileOutputStream(outfile); OutputStreamWriter outputStreamWriter = new OutputStreamWriter(fileOutputStream, "UTF8"); while(ts.incrementToken()) { //System.out.print(term.term() + " "); outputStreamWriter.write(term.term().toString() + "\r\n"); } outputStreamWriter.close(); }

  • How to force main Acivity to wait for subactivity in Android?

    - by rmaster
    hi, I am calling a subactivity from main activity. This subactivity should take few numbers from user (i'm using Edit text control to achieve this), save them to static variable in another class and terminate. I want main activity to wait for subactivity but both are just running simultaneously. Even doing sth like that doesn't help: Thread t = new Thread(new Runnable(){ public void run(){ Log.v("==================", "run "+new Date()); startActivityForResult(new Intent(ctx,myCustomSubactivity.class),1); } }); Log.v("==================", "calling run "+new Date()); t.start(); try { t.join(); } catch (InterruptedException e) {Log.v("==================", "can't join");} Log.v("==================", "back from activity "+new Date()); do you know how to force main activity to wait? Thread.wait() method is not supported in Android(program throws error).

  • how to keep the value of a variable in a closure

    - by Florian Fida
    i need to create multiple javascript functions which have a static id inside, so the function itself knows what data to process. Here is some code: (function(){ function log(s){ if(console && console.log) console.log(s); else alert(s); } var i = 10; while (i--){ window.setTimeout(function(){ // i need i to be 10, 9, 8... here not -1 log(i); },500); } })(); The problem ist that i allways gets updated by the loop, and i need to prevent this. Thanks in advance for any help, comments or tips!

  • LINQ: display results from empty lists

    - by Douglas H. M.
    I've created two entities (simplified) in C#: class Log { entries = new List<Entry>(); DateTime Date { get; set; } IList<Entry> entries { get; set; } } class Entry { DateTime ClockIn { get; set; } DateTime ClockOut { get; set; } } I am using the following code to initialize the objects: Log log1 = new Log() { Date = new DateTime(2010, 1, 1), }; log1.Entries.Add(new Entry() { ClockIn = new DateTime(0001, 1, 1, 9, 0, 0), ClockOut = new DateTime(0001, 1, 1, 12, 0, 0) }); Log log2 = new Log() { Date = new DateTime(2010, 2, 1), }; The method below is used to get the date logs: var query = from l in DB.GetLogs() from e in l.Entries orderby l.Date ascending select new { Date = l.Date, ClockIn = e.ClockIn, ClockOut = e.ClockOut, }; The result of the above LINQ query is: /* Date | Clock In | Clock Out 01/01/2010 | 09:00 | 12:00 */ My question is, what is the best way to rewrite the LINQ query above to include the results from the second object I created (Log2), since it has an empty list. In the other words, I would like to display all dates even if they don't have time values. The expected result would be: /* Date | Clock In | Clock Out 01/01/2010 | 09:00 | 12:00 02/01/2010 | | */

  • Configuring log4j at runtime

    - by Neil
    I'm using org.apache.tools.ant.listener.Log4jListener to manage logging with my ant script. The ant script is highly configurable and designed to be run different ways with different parameters and therefore I need to be able to log to files specified at runtime. I have a log4j.properties which specifies a log file to be build.log, and despite my attempts to launch ant redefining properties defined in log4j.properties have been unsuccessful. The build ignores them and continues to write to build.log. I haven't found much support regarding writing to custom files unless it's in Java with their Logger class. Perhaps I'm thinking this through wrong. log4j.properties isn't treated in the same way as a property file in an ant script (hence overrideable from the command line)? Is there a way I can do this intelligently without writing a custom task or something?

  • Problem accessing private variables in jQuery like chainable design pattern

    - by novogeek
    Hi folks, I'm trying to create my custom toolbox which imitates jQuery's design pattern. Basically, the idea is somewhat derived from this post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2061501/jquery-plugin-design-pattern-common-practice-for-dealing-with-private-function (Check the answer given by "David"). So here is my toolbox function: (function(window){ var mySpace=function(){ return new PrivateSpace(); } var PrivateSpace=function(){ var testCache={}; }; PrivateSpace.prototype={ init:function(){ console.log('init this:', this); return this; }, ajax:function(){ console.log('make ajax calls here'); return this; }, cache:function(key,selector){ console.log('cache selectors here'); testCache[key]=selector; console.log('cached selector: ',testCache); return this; } } window.hmis=window.m$=mySpace(); })(window) Now, if I execute this function like: console.log(m$.cache('firstname','#FirstNameTextbox')); I get an error 'testCache' is not defined. I'm not able to access the variable "testCache" inside my cache function of the prototype. How should I access it? Basically, what I want to do is, I want to cache all my jQuery selectors into an object and use this object in the future.

  • Why a new instance uses logger from old instances?

    - by Roman
    I generate 2 instances in this way: gameManager manager1 = new CTManager(owner,players1,"en"); manager1.start(); gameManager manager2 = new CTManager(owner,players2,"en"); manager2.start(); The start() method of the gameManager looks like that: void start() { game.start(); } When I create the game instance I create a loger: log = Logger.getLogger("TestLog"); (log is a public field of the class in which the game belongs). In the game.start() I run many processes and give them a reference to the corresponding log. So, I expect that manager1 and manager2 will write to different files. But manager2 writes to its own file and to the log file of the manager1. Why can it happen?

  • How to save/retrieve words to/from SQlite database?

    - by user998032
    Sorry if I repeat my question but I have still had no clues of what to do and how to deal with the question. My app is a dictionary. I assume that users will need to add words that they want to memorise to a Favourite list. Thus, I created a Favorite button that works on two phases: short-click to save the currently-view word into the Favourite list; and long-click to view the Favourite list so that users can click on any words to look them up again. I go for using a SQlite database to store the favourite words but I wonder how I can do this task. Specifically, my questions are: Should I use the current dictionary SQLite database or create a new SQLite database to favorite words? In each case, what codes do I have to write to cope with the mentioned task? Could anyone there kindly help? Here is the dictionary code: package mydict.app; import java.util.ArrayList; import android.database.Cursor; import android.database.sqlite.SQLiteDatabase; import android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException; import android.util.Log; public class DictionaryEngine { static final private String SQL_TAG = "[MyAppName - DictionaryEngine]"; private SQLiteDatabase mDB = null; private String mDBName; private String mDBPath; //private String mDBExtension; public ArrayList<String> lstCurrentWord = null; public ArrayList<String> lstCurrentContent = null; //public ArrayAdapter<String> adapter = null; public DictionaryEngine() { lstCurrentContent = new ArrayList<String>(); lstCurrentWord = new ArrayList<String>(); } public DictionaryEngine(String basePath, String dbName, String dbExtension) { //mDBExtension = getResources().getString(R.string.dbExtension); //mDBExtension = dbExtension; lstCurrentContent = new ArrayList<String>(); lstCurrentWord = new ArrayList<String>(); this.setDatabaseFile(basePath, dbName, dbExtension); } public boolean setDatabaseFile(String basePath, String dbName, String dbExtension) { if (mDB != null) { if (mDB.isOpen() == true) // Database is already opened { if (basePath.equals(mDBPath) && dbName.equals(mDBName)) // the opened database has the same name and path -> do nothing { Log.i(SQL_TAG, "Database is already opened!"); return true; } else { mDB.close(); } } } String fullDbPath=""; try { fullDbPath = basePath + dbName + "/" + dbName + dbExtension; mDB = SQLiteDatabase.openDatabase(fullDbPath, null, SQLiteDatabase.OPEN_READWRITE|SQLiteDatabase.NO_LOCALIZED_COLLATORS); } catch (SQLiteException ex) { ex.printStackTrace(); Log.i(SQL_TAG, "There is no valid dictionary database " + dbName +" at path " + basePath); return false; } if (mDB == null) { return false; } this.mDBName = dbName; this.mDBPath = basePath; Log.i(SQL_TAG,"Database " + dbName + " is opened!"); return true; } public void getWordList(String word) { String query; // encode input String wordEncode = Utility.encodeContent(word); if (word.equals("") || word == null) { query = "SELECT id,word FROM " + mDBName + " LIMIT 0,15" ; } else { query = "SELECT id,word FROM " + mDBName + " WHERE word >= '"+wordEncode+"' LIMIT 0,15"; } //Log.i(SQL_TAG, "query = " + query); Cursor result = mDB.rawQuery(query,null); int indexWordColumn = result.getColumnIndex("Word"); int indexContentColumn = result.getColumnIndex("Content"); if (result != null) { int countRow=result.getCount(); Log.i(SQL_TAG, "countRow = " + countRow); lstCurrentWord.clear(); lstCurrentContent.clear(); if (countRow >= 1) { result.moveToFirst(); String strWord = Utility.decodeContent(result.getString(indexWordColumn)); String strContent = Utility.decodeContent(result.getString(indexContentColumn)); lstCurrentWord.add(0,strWord); lstCurrentContent.add(0,strContent); int i = 0; while (result.moveToNext()) { strWord = Utility.decodeContent(result.getString(indexWordColumn)); strContent = Utility.decodeContent(result.getString(indexContentColumn)); lstCurrentWord.add(i,strWord); lstCurrentContent.add(i,strContent); i++; } } result.close(); } } public Cursor getCursorWordList(String word) { String query; // encode input String wordEncode = Utility.encodeContent(word); if (word.equals("") || word == null) { query = "SELECT id,word FROM " + mDBName + " LIMIT 0,15" ; } else { query = "SELECT id,content,word FROM " + mDBName + " WHERE word >= '"+wordEncode+"' LIMIT 0,15"; } //Log.i(SQL_TAG, "query = " + query); Cursor result = mDB.rawQuery(query,null); return result; } public Cursor getCursorContentFromId(int wordId) { String query; // encode input if (wordId <= 0) { return null; } else { query = "SELECT id,content,word FROM " + mDBName + " WHERE Id = " + wordId ; } //Log.i(SQL_TAG, "query = " + query); Cursor result = mDB.rawQuery(query,null); return result; } public Cursor getCursorContentFromWord(String word) { String query; // encode input if (word == null || word.equals("")) { return null; } else { query = "SELECT id,content,word FROM " + mDBName + " WHERE word = '" + word + "' LIMIT 0,1"; } //Log.i(SQL_TAG, "query = " + query); Cursor result = mDB.rawQuery(query,null); return result; } public void closeDatabase() { mDB.close(); } public boolean isOpen() { return mDB.isOpen(); } public boolean isReadOnly() { return mDB.isReadOnly(); } } And here is the code below the Favourite button to save to and load the Favourite list: btnAddFavourite = (ImageButton) findViewById(R.id.btnAddFavourite); btnAddFavourite.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { // Add code here to save the favourite, e.g. in the db. Toast toast = Toast.makeText(ContentView.this, R.string.messageWordAddedToFarvourite, Toast.LENGTH_SHORT); toast.show(); } }); btnAddFavourite.setOnLongClickListener(new View.OnLongClickListener() { @Override public boolean onLongClick(View v) { // Open the favourite Activity, which in turn will fetch the saved favourites, to show them.   • How to disable activerecord cache logging in rails

    - by user1508459
    I'm trying to disable logging of caching in production. Have succeeded in getting SQL to stop logging queries, but no luck with caching log entries. Example line in production log: CACHE (0.0ms) SELECT merchants.* FROM merchants WHERE merchants.id = 1 LIMIT 1 I do not want to disable all logging, since I want logger.debug statements to show up in the production log. Using rails 3.2.1 with Mysql and Apache. Any suggestions?

  • Wrap Sub as Function for use in Lambda

    - by Luhmann
    I have a problem with VB and Moq. I need to call a verify on a Sub. Like so: logger.Verify(Function(x) x.Log, Times.AtLeastOnce) And my logger looks like this: Public Interface ILogger Sub Log() End Interface But with VB this is not possible, because the Log method is a Sub, and thereby does not produce a value. I don't want to change the method to be a function. Whats the cleanest way of working around this limitation and is there any way to wrap the Sub as a Function like the below? logger.Verify(Function(x) ToFunc(AddressOf x.Log)) I have tried this, but i get: Lambda Parameter not in scope

  • SQL Server 2008 error message from store procedure

Rerun the transaction. I am wondering whether such messages are stored in log files? I searched log folder of my SQL Server 2008 installation root (in my environment, it is C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Log), but can not find such files. thanks in avdance, George

  • C program giving incorrect output for simple math!

    - by DuffDuff
    (all are declared as ints, none are initialized to anything beforehand. I have included math.h and am compiling with -lm) cachesize = atoi(argv[1]); blocksize = atoi(argv[3]); setnumber = (cachesize/blocksize); printf("setnumber: %d\n", setnumber); setbits = (log(setnumber))/(log(2)); printf("sbits: %d\n", setbits); when given cachesize as 1024 and blocksize as 16 the output is as follows: setnumber: 64 sbits: 5 but log(64)/log(2) = 6 ! It works correctly when given cachesize 512 and blocksize 32. I can't seem to win. I'm really hoping that it's a stupid mistake on my part, and I'd be grateful if anyone could point out what it is! Thank you! PS: I posted this in Yahoo Answers first but that was probably silly. Won't be doing that again.

  • Prototype Element.remove() not working in IE

    - by Gonçalo Queirós
    Hi there. I have a javascript function that gets a DIV by an ID and makes a clone. Then, removes the original DIV from DOM and inserts the cloned object..Everything works fine, except in IE, because the original DIV is never removed... var loadingDiv = $(Sybil.conf.loadingDivId), loadingClone = loadingDiv.clone(true); console.log($$('.loadingImg')); loadingDiv.remove(); //Insert the loading div on the page again elt.insert({after: loadingClone}); [loadingClone].invoke(func); console.log($$('.loadingImg')); The div also has a span inside with the class "loadingImg", so i just used the console.log to check how many elements there are. FF always prints [span.loadingImg] but IE prints [span.loadingImg,span.loadingImg] on the second console.log... Any idea of what might be happening? Thanks

  • Concatenate, sort and swap array in Java

    - by sblck
    I am trying to concatenate two arrays into new array, sort in order, and swap two values of index. I'm kind of new to java and only use C before so having a hard time handling an Object. In main method it declares two object arrays IntVector vector = new IntVector(3); and IntVector vector2 = new IntVector(3); I can only do this if the types are int[], but I want to use as an object How should I code the concat, sort, and swap method? public class IntVector { private int[] items_; private int itemCount_; private IntVector(int[] data, int n) { items_ = data.clone(); itemCount_ = n; } public IntVector(int itemSize) { itemCount_ =0; if(itemSize<1) itemSize =10; items_ = new int[itemSize]; } public void push(int value) { if(itemCount_ + 1 >= items_.length) overflow(); items_[itemCount_++] = value; } public void log() { for (int i=0 ; i<itemCount_; ++i) { System.out.print(items_[i]); if(i<itemCount_ -1) System.out.println(); } } public void overflow() { int[] newItems = new int[items_.length * 2]; for(int i=0 ; i<itemCount_; ++i) { newItems[i] = items_[i]; } items_=newItems; } public int getValue(int index) { if(index < 0 || index >= itemCount_) { System.out.println("[error][IntVector][setValue] Incorrect index=" + index); return 0; } return items_[index]; } public void setValue(int index, int value) { if(index < 0 || index >= itemCount_) { System.out.println("[error][IntVector][setValue] Incorrect index=" + index); return ; } items_[index] = value; } public IntVector clone() { return new IntVector(items_, itemCount_); } public IntVector concat() { return null; } public IntVector sort() { return null; } public IntVector swap() { return null; } public static void main(String[] args) { IntVector vector = new IntVector(3); IntVector vector2 = new IntVector(3); vector.push(8); vector.push(200); vector.push(3); vector.push(41); IntVector cloneVector = vector.clone(); vector2.push(110); vector2.push(12); vector2.push(7); vector2.push(141); vector2.push(-32); IntVector concatResult = vector.concat(vector2); IntVector sortResult = concatResult.sort(); IntVector swapResult = sortResult.clone(); //swapResult.swap(1,5); System.out.print("vector : "); vector.log(); System.out.print("\n\ncloneVector : "); cloneVector.log(); System.out.print("\n\nvector2 : "); vector2.log(); System.out.print("\n\nconcatvector : "); concatResult.log(); System.out.print("vector : "); vector.log(); System.out.print("vector : "); vector.log(); } }

  • Is it OK to put a standard, pure C header #include directive inside a namespace?

    - by mic_e
    I've got a project with a class log in the global namespace (::log). So, naturally, after #include <cmath>, the compiler gives an error message each time I try to instantiate an object of my log class, because <cmath> pollutes the global namespace with lots of three-letter methods, one of them being the logarithm function log(). So there are three possible solutions, each having their unique ugly side-effects. Move the log class to it's own namespace and always access it with it's fully qualified name. I really want to avoid this because the logger should be as convenient as possible to use. Write a mathwrapper.cpp file which is the only file in the project that includes <cmath>, and makes all the required <cmath> functions available through wrappers in a namespace math. I don't want to use this approach because I have to write a wrapper for every single required math function, and it would add additional call penalty (cancelled out partially by the -flto compiler flag) The solution I'm currently considering: Replace #include <cmath> by namespace math { #include "math.h" } and then calculating the logarithm function via math::log(). I have tried it out and it does, indeed, compile, link and run as expected. It does, however, have multiple downsides: It's (obviously) impossible to use <cmath>, because the <cmath> code accesses the functions by their fully qualified names, and it's deprecated to use in C++. I've got a really, really bad feeling about it, like I'm gonna get attacked and eaten alive by raptors. So my question is: Is there any recommendation/convention/etc that forbid putting include directives in namespaces? Could anything go wrong with diferent C standard library implementations (I use glibc), different compilers (I use g++ 4.7, -std=c++11), linking? Have you ever tried doing this? Are there any alternate ways to banish the math functions from the global namespace? I've found several similar questions on stackoverflow, but most were about including other C++ headers, which obviously is a bad idea, and those that weren't made contradictory statements about linking behaviour for C libraries. Also, would it be beneficial to additionally put the #include <math.h> inside extern "C" {}?

  • How to convert a string to variable name

    - by p1xelarchitect
    I'm loading several external JSON files and want to check if they have been successfully cached before the the next screen is displayed. My strategy is to check the name of the array to see if it an object. My code works perfectly when I check only a single array and hard code the array name into my function. My question is: how can i make this dynamic? not dynamic: (this works) $("document").ready(){ checkJSON("nav_items"); } function checkJSON(){ if(typeof nav_items == "object"){ // success... } } dynamic: (this doesn't work) $("document").ready(){ checkJSON("nav_items"); checkJSON("foo_items"); checkJSON("bar_items"); } function checkJSON(item){ if(typeof item == "object"){ // success... } } here is the a larger context of my code: var loadAttempts = 0; var reloadTimer = false; $("document").ready(){ checkJSON("nav_items"); } function checkJSON(item){ loadAttempts++; //if nav_items exists if(typeof nav_items == "object"){ //if a timer is running, kill it if(reloadTimer != false){ clearInterval(reloadTimer); reloadTimer = false; } console.log("found!!"); console.log(nav_items[1]); loadAttempts = 0; //reset // load next screen.... } //if nav_items does not yet exist, try 5 times, then give up! else { //set a timer if(reloadTimer == false){ reloadTimer = setInterval(function(){checkJSON(nav_items)},300); console.log(item + " not found. Attempts: " + loadAttempts ); } else { if(loadAttempts <= 5){ console.log(item + " not found.   • Improved technique to store a filename in a variable?

    - by SDGuero
    Greetings, I need to store the filename of a log into a variable so my script can perform some checks on the daily log files. These logs always have a different name because they have a timestamp in the name. Currently I'm using a hodge podged method that pipes an ls command to sed, sort, cut, and tail in order to get the name out. CRON_LOG=$(ls -1 $LOGS_DIR/fetch_cron_{true,false}_$CRON_DATE*.log 2> /dev/null | sed 's/^[^0-9][^0-9]*\([0-9][0-9]*\).*/\1 &/' | sort -n | cut -d ' ' -f2- | tail -1 ) UPDATE: $CRON_DATE is supplied as an argument to the script. It is the date (to the day) that the log was created on. Sometimes multiple logs will exist for the same day so I want this to get the most recent one. A typical filename is fetch_cron_false_031810090452.log I'm pretty sure I kluged this together from some stuff I found google a few months ago. it works now but I'm not really happy with the technique. I have some ideas about how to do this better but I have had great success on this site before and thought it might be best to refer to the stackoverflow gods first. All answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ryan

  • Reference an object, based on a variable with it's name in it

    - by James G
    I'm looking for a way to reference an object, based on a variable with it's name in it. I know I can do this for properties and sub properties: var req = {body: {jobID: 12}}; console.log(req.body.jobID); //12 var subProperty = "jobID"; console.log(req.body[subProperty ]); //12 var property = "body"; console.log(req[property][subProperty]); //12 is it possible for the object itself? var req = {body: {jobID: 12}}; var object = "req"; var property = "body"; var subProperty = "jobID"; console.log([object][property][subProperty]); //12 or console.log(this[object][property][subProperty]); //12 Note: I'm doing this in node.js not a browser. Here is an exert from the function: if(action.render){ res.render(action.render,renderData); }else if(action.redirect){ if(action.redirect.args){ var args = action.redirect.args; res.redirect(action.redirect.path+req[args[0]][args[1]]); }else{ res.redirect(action.redirect.path); } } I could work around it by changing it to this, but I was looking for something more dynamic. if(action.render){ res.render(action.render,renderData); }else if(action.redirect){ if(action.redirect.args){ var args = action.redirect.args; if(args[0]==="req"){ res.redirect(action.redirect.path+req[args[1]][args[2]]); }else if(args[0]==="rows"){ rows.redirect(action.redirect.path+rows[args[1]][args[2]]); } }else{ res.redirect(action.redirect.path); } }
