    Hi, I used csv2xls.pl to convert a text log into .xls file, and then apply create chart function as following: my $chart3 = $workbook-add_chart( type = 'line' , embedded = 1); Configure the series. $chart3-add_series( categories = '=Sheet1!$B$2:$B$64', values = '=Sheet1!$C$2:$C$64', name = 'Test data series 1', ); Add some labels. $chart3-set_title( name = 'Bridge Rate Analysis' ); $chart3-set_x_axis( name = 'Packet Size ' ); $chart3-set_y_axis( name = 'BVI Rate' ); Insert the chart into the main worksheet. $worksheet-insert_chart( 'G2', $chart3 ); ========== I can see the chart in .xls file, however, all the data is in text format, not number, therefore, the chart looks wrong. I am wondering can you tell me how to convert text into number before apply this create chart function? One other thing is any idea how to apply sorting on the .xls file before create chart? Thanks.   • How do I get rid of this "(" using regex?

    Hi there, I was moving along on a regex expression and I have hit a road block I can't seem to get around. I am trying to get rid of "(" in the middle of a line of text using regex, there were 2 but I figured out how to get the one on the end of the line. its the one in the middle I can hack out. Here is the snippet I am searching for in the config file. I put 2 examples. guestOSAltName = "Ubuntu Linux (64-bit)" guestOSAltName = "Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" Here is the snippet I am working on. if ($vmx_file =~ m/^\bguestOSAltName\b\s+\S\s+\W(?<GUEST_OS> .+[^")])\W/xm) { $virtual_machines{$vm}{"OS"} = "$+{GUEST_OS}"; } else { $virtual_machines{$vm}{"OS"} = "N/A"; } I am thinking the problem is I cannot make a match to "(" because the expression before that is to ".+" so that it matches everything in the line of text, be it alphanumeric or whitespace or even symbols like hypens. Any ideas how I can get this to work?   • How to route translated URLs to a module with nitrogen

    I used to develop in English, but this time, the webApp i'm building is only for people in my city, which is in France. In nitrogen, when you call "/user/login", nitrogen calls user_login:main(). I would like nitrogen to call user_login:main() when the request is "/utilisateur/connexion". I would like nitrogen to call ads_people:main() when the request is "/annonces/personnes", etc. Is there a way to achieve that properly ? Many thanks !

  • Drupal, ImageCache module not scaling properly

    hi, I've set on imagecache a fixed scale for my images (230 x 150). Upscaling option is unchecked. Successively, I've uploaded new images (original size 230 x 150) but for some reason they are resized: 80 x 52 Instead, if I check the "Allow upscaling" option, the size is correct, but the quality is very bad. So basically, it behaves like if my images are very small, but my original images have the correct size. thanks

Therefore, the modules is loaded Afer each modification,I restared the server manually with sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart The error.log gives Apache/2.2.14 (Ubuntu) PHP/5.3.2-1ubuntu4.2 with Suhosin-Patch configured -- resuming normal operations When I call a page anyone.htm or anyone.php, the rewrite.log does contain nothing and the real page is called. If I understand, the page anyone.php should be replaced by testphp.php Did I make siomething wrong ? Thanks

    I would like to have my Plack app try several different means of authorizing the user. Specifically, check if the user is already authorized via a session cookie, then check for Digest authentication and then fall back to Basic. I figured I could just enable a bunch of Auth handlers in the order I wanted them to be checked (Session, Digest, Basic). Unfortunately, the way that Plack::Middleware::Auth::Digest and Plack::Middleware::Auth::Basic are written they both return 401 if digest or basic auth doesn't exist, respectively. How is this normally dealt with in Plack?

  • Scripting vim to Run Perltidy on a Buffer

    At my current job, we have coding-style standards that are different from the ones I normally follow. Fortunately, we have a canned RC file for perltidy that I can apply to reformat files before I submit them to our review process. I have code for emacs that I use to run a command over a buffer and replace the buffer with the output, which I have adapted for this. But I sometimes alternate between emacs and vim, and would like to have the same capabilities there. I'm sure that this or something similar is simple and had been done and re-done many times over. But I've not had much luck finding any examples of vim-script that seem to do what I need. Which is, in essence, to be able to hit a key combo (like Ctrl-F6, what I use in emacs) and have the buffer be reformatted in-place by perltidy. While I'm a comfortable vim-user, I'm completely clueless at writing this sort of thing for vim.

  • How can I profile a subroutine without using modules?

    I'm tempted to relabel this question 'Look at this brick. What type of house does it belong to?' Here's the situation: I've effectively been asked to profile some subroutines having access to neither profilers (even Devel::DProf) nor Time::HiRes. The purpose of this exercise is to 'locate' bottlenecks. At the moment, I'm sprinkling print statements at the beginning and end of each sub that log entries and exits to file, along with the result of the time function. Not ideal, but it's the best I can go by given the circumstances. At the very least it'll allow me to see how many times each sub is called. The code is running under Unix. The closest thing I see to my need is perlfaq8, but that doesn't seem to help (I don't know how to make a syscall, and am wondering if it'll affect the code timing unpredictably). Not your typical everyday SO question...

    I have this XML file (some of them are HUGE - thousands of elements) and I'm trying to validate certain elements of this XML file using an XSD schema. For eg. dates, etc. Now, the problem is that XSD won't let me validate just certain sections of the document. It wants definitions for EVERYTHING - and that would be quite painful. What I would like to know is that is there a way to XSD work with only certain elements of the document? I've tried any and anyAttribute to no avail. If not, how would you do this? Is there a library/script that produces a schema corresponding to an XML document which I can then modify according to my needs? Thanks,

  • Symfony: Pass an object from another module to a form

    I have a symfony project and I have one model, which for this example I will name Boat. From the Boat's showSuccess page, I would like to make a link to another model's form page. For this example we will call it Ticket. When they click on the link, I would like for the Boat object to be passed to the Ticket form because I have to display some of that specific Boat's fields (title, price, etc) on the Ticket form page (newSuccess.php). I guess my question is, how do I pass an object (as a variable) to another model's "new" form page. I have looked everywhere and I can't seem to find an answer that works for me. Thank you!

So basically I've pared it down to needing to find out how to mess with the name of each input so that it can reflect the loop index appropriately, so Catalyst::Plugin::Params::Nested will build the correct structure. Thoughts?

  • How do I select column(s) by their "numeric" position in a table?

    I am trying to select columns by their "x" position in the table. DBI my $example = $hookup->prepare(qq{SELECT This,That,Condition,"I also want COLUMN-10" FROM tbl LIMIT ? ?}); ###column_number=10 ordinal_position?? $example->execute('2','10') or die "Did not execute"; Is this possible or do I need to run another single select to just that column? One problem I encountered was with a col named "Condition". For some reason, when I tried to select Condition the execute would die. I never attempted but, What if the column name was SELECT? Another note is the table is 75 cols wide and I only need 50 of them. The Col names are pretty verbose so, I would like to just call them by their "position". This would also allow the col names to be changed in the future without having to change the select statement. I am quite the newbie so please explain any answers down to my level.
