• How do I view application directories and directories that begin with dot in Netbeans on OSX?

  How do I view directories that begin with dot and how do I browse application directories in Netbeans? I can't seem to view directories that begin with a "dot" through the open file dialog in Netbeans. Similarly, I can't browse any application directory e.g. File-Open File-"someapp.app". Attempting to browse "someapp.app" gives the error "someapp.app is a directory". Altering or removing the regex under Preferences-Miscellaneous-File-Ignored Files Pattern has no effect; directories that begin with dot stay invisible. I'm on OSX 10.5.8 and I've tried to get this working on netbeans 6.5-6.8 to no avail. I posted this to the on the netbeans irc and mailing list but haven't heard anything back. Any help would be appreciated!

• Are Inherited Forms And/Or Inherited Controls possible in Managed C++

  Hello everyone The question is actually pretty self explanatory but I will further clarify it. I am building a simple application to show a load [file] for 5 different types of [files]. So all these 5 forms will have similar GUI elements such as a listbox and a load button with a small textbox/label to show the summary of the [file]'s information. My desired effect is something like visual studio's C# template for Inherited User controls or Inherited forms. I already heavily googled the concept to look for a C++ visual studio template to the trick but I couldn't find it. The word [file] is in brackets because open file dialogue will not the trick as this list of files to select form comes form an SQL server. Thanks a lot!

• jQuery Animate width to the left and up

  Hi all- I'm trying to animate an image's width and height properties. Currently the image (as expected) animates to the right and down, however I'd like for the animation to occur to the left and upwards. Here's my current code : http://jsfiddle.net/7UbYy/ I've read a few other posts on this subject which all refer to setting a marginLeft or left property but I can't seem to get the desired effect. I need the image to animate to the left and upwards while remaining in place. Let me know if this is possible...I can't seem to think of a way to do it right now.. Thanks in advance. Appreciate it.

• Are there macro facility for Java or C#?

  Macros are useful. Therefore, I occasionally bemoan the absence of macros in Java and C#. Macros allow me to force in-line but allow me the code-manageability of non-macro code. Is there any Java- or C#-based project/product somewhere out there that effectively allow macros or specifying in-line expansion. I am thinking of something like @macro public void hello(int x){ ... } or when I call a method, an @inline annotation preceding the call would effect the called-method to be in-lined. or, should I need to know that I should just trust the compiler to make the best the decision for me that at the best of its analysis it might in-line a call. I hope this question will not lead to debating the pro/cons/usefulness of macros.

• Colorbox - removing the close button from a specific window

  Hi, I'm using the colorbox plugin to display messages on my web page. One of them is a "wait for response" message, and I don't want the user closing it by himself. I know how to unbind the ESC key, and to disable the overlay close, but I still have a problem with the close button. I found I could remove it in the css like this: #cboxClose{display:none !important;} but this will effect all my colorbox messages.. Is there a way to remove the close button from a specific message? Maybe from the jsp itself? Thanks, Yael.

• Changing the colour of Aero glass for my window?

  I'm using DwmExtendFrameIntoClientArea in my WPF application to get the glass effect. This is working fine. What I'd like to do is change the colour used for the glass -- I'm writing a countdown timer, and I'd like the window to be the normal glass colour most of the time, and then to go red (but still with glass) when the time runs out. I found this question, which talks about how to apply a gradient glass, and that works fine when picking a different colour. Unfortunately, the borders are not coloured appropriately. When I turn off the borders by using ResizeMode="NoResize", then I end up with square corners. I'd like to keep the rounded corners. I looked at creating an irregularly-shaped window, by using AllowTransparency="True" and that works fine, but doesn't look like an Aero glass window. It looks a bit flat. So: my question: how do I create a window in WPF that looks like Aero glass transparency, but uses a different colour?

• Google bot .net and AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport dilemma

  Hi, i have a .net mobile web site where i use sesion state and due to nature of mobile networks/phones (not all supports session cookies) i had to use <sessionState cookieless="AutoDetect"/> It works fine but because each new session redirected with "AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1" i have a feeling that google won't like this. Here is a small sample from my server logs supportForumReadTopic.aspx id=38 80 - 66.249.71.80 Mozilla/5.0+(compatible;+Googlebot/2.1;++http://www.google.com/bot.html) 302 supportForumReadTopic.aspx id=38&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 Mozilla/5.0+(compatible;+Googlebot/2.1;++http://www.google.com/bot.html) 200 As you see each new hit from google will get 302 to itself. I have a genericmozilla5.browser file where i define google bot as cookie supporting browser in order to get .net not to use cookieless urls but not sure how this 302 would effect me. Any one had smilar exprience? Any ideas? Suggestions? Thanks

• Scroll UITableViewCell above keyboard for small tableview

  I have a tableview which is added to a UIViewController as the tableview only fills the bottom 3/4 of the screen.The rows contain editable UITextFields. When a field is tapped, the keyboard appears but the table does not scroll upwards as would normally be the case. Consequently, the keyboard obscures the field being edited. I have tried calling [tableView scrollToRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath atScrollPosition:(UITableViewScrollPosition)scrollPosition animated:(BOOL)animated] but this has no effect if the table contains only a few rows. How can I get the table to scroll a specific cell above the keyboard? Thank you

• Buttons in the corners?

  I'd like to have 4 buttons one in each corner of a window. But I want the stuff in the grid/window to be "behind" the buttons, as if they float on top. • Decoration View *above* cells in UICollectionView

  I've got a decoration view showing the way I want, in my UICollectionView. The position and size is right. The decoration view stays at the frame I'm setting for it in my layout. But, I want the decoration view to be above the cells, not below them. I tried setting the zIndex property on the UICollectionViewLayoutAttributes for the decoration view, but this has no effect - I tried logging out the zindex of the cells, and they're all returning 0, and my decoration view's zIndex is set to 20. I'm guessing having decoration views above the cells is not supported, at least in UICollectionViewFlowLayout? Someone please confirm this, thanks! In the meantime, I'm going back to having a custom UIView subclass as a subview in the parent controller of the collection view and laying out the frame of it in the - (void) viewWillLayoutSubviews() method.

State) because MySQL doesn't implement look-ahead assertions, a number of answers came up the equivalent Kansas($|[^ ]| ($|[^S])| S($|[^t])| St($|[^a])| Sta($|[^t])| Stat($|[^e])) The poster pointed out that's a PITA to do for potentially lots of expressions. Is there a script/utility/mode of PCRE (or some other package) that will convert a PCRE (if possible) to an equivalent regex that doesn't use Perl's snazzy features? I'm fully aware that some Perl-style regexes cannot be stated as an ordinary regex, so I would not expect the tool to do the impossible, of course!

  Basically I want to create the effect of that provided in the system's menu bar. A user presses on one of the menu headings, and as he moves across the different headings, the menus open up automatically. The snag is that if I open a pop-up menu for a button, the user has to click again to dismiss it. The entire runloop is on hold as I believe the pop-up menu is modal. How do I go about being able to send a [somePopUpMenu cancelTracking] when the user moves to the next button? Cheers

• Mobile Safari Geolocation API Issues

  Hi, since Mobile Safari's Geolocation API should be an implementation of the W3C Geolocation API I found some bugs. I was wondering if anybody noticed the same. As specified in the W3C Geolocation API the PositionCallback returns a Position object, which contains a Coordinates object. In this object all attributes are of type double. Using navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition and checking the Position object in the successCallback the accuracy attribute is always an object, but should be a double. The heading attribute is always -1 when testing in the iPhone simulator, but should be null or between 0 and 360. 2. Setting the options parameter for navigator.geolocation.watchPosition or navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition as specified in the W3C Geolocation API has no effect. No matter what is set as the timeout value, the win callback is called every 10 seconds. For example setting the timeout=1000 should immediately call either the successCallback or errorCallback. • Transform/redraw view after pinch zoom on x-axis

  My setup. UIScrollView (scrollView) - UIView (contentView) - UIView (subView) I have managed to do so I can zoom contentView only on the x-axis. The problem is that subView is containing a graph. When contentView is zoomed and transformed the graph gets unsharp and distorded since the scaling only effect the x-axis. What I need help with is to somehow redraw the contentView after I'm done with the zooming without distorting the graph. Is it possible to transform the contentView so that the graph stays sharp even if you only zoom in the x-axis or redraw the content in the zoomed/stretched view somehow? I have tried the solution in this thread link but haven't succeeded to get it running.

• Cloned Cached item has memory issues

  Hi there, we are having values stored in Cache-Enterprise library Caching Block. The accessors of the cached item, which is a List, modify the values. We didnt want the Cached Items to get affected. Hence first we returned a new List(IEnumerator of the CachedItem) This made sure accessors adding and removing items had little effect on the original Cached item. But we found, all the instances of the List we returned to accessors were ALIVE! Object relational Graph showed a relationship between this list and the EnterpriseLibrary.CacheItem. So we changed the return to be a newly cloned List. For this we used a LINQ say (from item in Data select new DataClass(item) ).ToList() even when you do as above, the ORG shows there is a relationship between this list and the CacheItem. Cant we do anything to create a CLONE of the List item which is present in the Enterprise library cache, which DOESNT have ANY relationship with CACHE?!

• Jquery simplemodal close existing modal and open a new one?

  Alright, so all modals already have an image at the top right to close them. How can I make additionally another anchor to do the same thing? I thought I could use the "closeClass" option which default to "simplemodal-close" and just add that class to an anchor, but it didn't have the desired effect. Is that what I'm supposed to do? Also, all modals will have a "contact us" link which should close it's own modal and open the contact modal. How can I wait until it is closed to open the next one? • Crashing the OS X Pasteboard

  I have an application that reads in text by emulating CMD-C copy commands and reading the pasteboard - unfortunately this the only way to achieve what I need. Occasionally, something goes wrong in execution (not sure yet if it's related to the copy command or not) and the app crashes. Once in a while, this has a knock on effect on the system-wide pasteboard - any other application that is running will crash if I attempt a copy, cut, or paste. Is there a robust way to handle this - something I should be doing with the NSPasteboard before exiting? Any information on what might be happening is appreciated. • XCode Syntax Coloring Broken

  XCode frequently seems to lose it's mind, and doesn't color code system classes or provide correct "code sense" suggestions. This is endlessly frustrating. I have rebuilt the code sense indexes and completely restarted XCode with no change. I have built my project to make sure there are no errors and restarted. I have copied my files (sans .svn files) to a different location - same problem. I've already completely disabled the argument "placeholders" because they screw up my documents when i type too fast... all I'm asking for is for the "esc" key to display the correct list of properties and methods.

• Close button during modal sheet

  In Objective C (Cocoa) I have an app running with a modal sheet, but I want to allow the app to quit even when the sheet is displayed (contradicting the definition of modal I think, but I like the animated effect of modal sheets). I'm already using the -setPreventsApplicationTerminationWhenModal method and it works fine, but I'm wondering... is there any way to keep the close button enabled? The little circle usually red-colored close button that comes with all windows in the top left corner (side by side with minimize and maximize)? Right now it's completely disabled when the sheet is running, and it would be awesome if there is a way to enable it. Thanks!

• Make a div fall off the page

  Hey, So I have been playing with jQuery for a good time now and I'm trying to get an effect to work properly. I have a main square div in the middle of the page and when someone clicks a link I want the box to look like its falling off the page and disappear, revealing a new page behind it. I'v been playing with the easing plugin but I can seem to get what I want to work. Basically I have the div's top margin or just top distance increased to a large number. However, this just makes the div fall but it also expands my page and its just much lower on the page. I basically want the div to fall out of site and not change the dimensions of the site. Anyone know how to do that? Thanks! Danny

  GWT's RPC mechanism does the following things on every HTTP Request - Sets two custom request headers - X-GWT-Permutation and X-GWT-Module-Base Sets the content-type as text/x-gwt-rpc; charset=utf-8 The HTTP request is always a POST, and on server side GET methods throw an exception (method not supported). Also, if these headers are not set or have the wrong value, the server fails processing with an exception "possibly CSRF?" or something to that effect. Question is : Is this sufficient to prevent CSRF? Is there a way to set custom headers and change content type in a pure cross-site request forgery method?

• Problem with truncation of floating point values in DBSlayer.

  When I run a query through DBslayer http://code.nytimes.com/projects/dbslayer the floating point results are truncated to a total of six digits (plus decimal point and negative sign when needed). { ... "lat":52.2228,"lng":-2.19906, ... } When I run the same query in MySQL, the results are as expected. | 52.22280884 | -2.19906425 | Firstly, am I correct in identifying DBSlayer as the cause of this effect?   This might be a silly question but it struck me, and here i ask. <?php $x="Hi"; $y=" There"; $z = $x.$y; $a = "$x$y"; echo "$z"."<br />"."$a"; ?> $z uses the traditional concatenation operator provided by php and concatenates, conversely $a doesn't, My questions: by not using the concatenation operator, does it effect the performance? If it doesn't why at all have the concatenation operator. Why have 2 modes of implementation when one does the work?
