  • Problems with Castle DynamicProxy2 on .Net 3.5 SP1 on Win2003 Server

    I've an mvc + nh asp.net application. On my dev machine (win 7 Ent) all works fine, if deployed on a Win 2k3 (tried 2 different vm and one phisical machine) I got the following error.. anyone can help? Cannot explain this issue (tried the same build, so i think it'a machine configuration issue)..     Hello, in my asp.net web application i used ASPNetSQLProvider for membership. Now i need use ASPNETAccessProvider.   • Too Many Different Cell Formats

    I have a massive file with 10 sheets recreated from scratch, 12 sheets updated, 5 sheets loaded with raw data, and 7 sheets that are used by the macros for the report. I have recently added a new sheet and am running into the Excel "Too many different cell formats" problem. I have read some of the google search results and they say I should simplify the formatting, but I don't even know how I got up to 4000 distinct cell formats, let alone how much I'm using which ones, so I can remove some. It is also popping up some times the file is run, but not all, until such time as it comes up, and then it happens every time it is run. Since the macro is doing so much of the work, including creating the 10 sheets from scratch, I am not sure what to do. Does anyone know of a Macro I could run to get a listing of all the cell formats and how many cells are using them? Does anyone know of a program they trust to help remove excess cell formats?   • How to prevent Excel from wanting to start in Safe Mode?

    We have a background process that calls Excel for generation of report spreadsheets. Occasionally, a crash or inadvertent server reboot will occur while Excel is running. The first launch of Excel after the restart brings up the dialog box (paraphrasing here) "Would you like to start Excel in safe mode?" (Yes/No) The issue is that our background app can't handle this dialog box, and acts as if Excel will not start properly, and the background jobs fail as a result. I can find CL switches for starting Excel in safe mode, but I can't find anything that will instruct Excel to always start in normal mode without that prompt dialog. (I don't have access to the other program's code, so I can't make it pass through a "Yes" value if it runs into that box.) Is there a registry hack or some other way I can force Excel into normal mode every time it's called?

  • Problem with creation of scheduled task from IIS6 on SR2003

    Hi, I am writing a webapplication using .NET. The webapp creates scheduled tasks using the System.Diagnostics.Process class, calling SCHTASKS.EXE with parameters. I have changed the identity on the app pool, to a specific domain user. The domain-user is local administrator on all the four webservers. From webserver01 I am creating tasks on webserver01 to webserver04. It works perfect for 3-5 days, but then it breaks. It gives me the following errormessage in a messagebox: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application." If I have the system in the broken state, and I change the identity of the app pool to Domain administrator, it works. As I change it back to my domain-user, it breaks again. If I reboot the server, it works again for the same amount of days, but will break again. It seems like a permission-related problem. I just don't understand why it works sometimes, and sometimes doesn't. I hope someone outthere has seen this problem! Looking forward to hear from you! Kind regards, Morten, Denmark

    I am getting the following error while sending mail by click of a button in MS access form I am using sendObject to send mail using vba code. The host 'smtp' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'pop3', Server: 'smtp', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D Points to note: I am able to send and receive mails in my outlook; Problem is only when send mails through VBA access application.(Means it is not a outlook client configuration problem) When i copy paste the Vba application to another PC, i could successfully send emails without any error. (means this is not a vba access application problem) Please help.

    Hi All, I have the this bit of code in a VBA class which is to workout the number of days between a property of the class (a date) and today’s date. Can anyone see why this would be giving an error in a class? I have referenced atpvbaen.xls. Edit: I have found that when I run the code through a menu option I have created on the menu bar it fails, but when I run it via a button or through the VB Editor it works fine.   • Access Denied while using System.Diagnostics.Process

    I am trying to use the unmanaged ImageMagick library in my ASP.NET application from the command line using System.Diagnostics.Process. Basically, users will upload an .eps file to the site, and then I will run the command line command to convert it into .jpg. I get the error "System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: Access is denied". The main between the two servers is that the production is 64-bit and runs Plesk to manage multiple domains. I've tried adding rights asp.net user to the ImageMagick directory. The PS Admin says that in the case of Plesk, it's the same account that I use to access the site in VS using FPE. Does anyone know what I might do in order to allow this process to run on my production server? Thanks, Mike

For instance: associated to each column is last name, first name and city. i have hundreds of names associated to different cities and what i would like is from worksheet1.xls to copy all the New York clients to worksheet2.xls either when i open worksheet2 or via macro what ever is easier and because last name is in one cell and the first name is in the other i would have to copy both. I saw that its possible to link cells from one worksheet to another and then do a vlookup depending on the criteria. Is that the best easiest way or is there another? thanks in advance and cheers oleg

  • Creating an Excel file using .NET (C#) - Problems with columns headers!

    Hello, I want to create & fill a .xls file using ADO.NET or LINQ, but I do not want to have the columns names in the first row. I just want to insert rows starting in row no. 1. I know I have to insert colums first, but... is there a way to 'hide' those columns headers? The problem is that, in first row of my spreadsheet, I must have only two values (one in A1 and the other in B1), but in the remaining rows I'll be inserting more than just two values (maximum 15 columns). I'm open to suggestions/hacks/tricks even if that's not the best way of doing this. Thanks!

    I have a report which I used the command subtotals. Aesthetically, I just want to make these subtotal rows (columns A to P) filled with color, be in Bold and have a surrounding border. There are hundreds of totals generated in my report. And they do not have a recurring row position. So basically in order for it to look good, I do it manually per row. Is there a faster way? The following line of code looks in column E of the Source file, and if any of the entries match the values shown in the code it copies that row of data to paste into the Destination file. Rows(j).Delete I just wondered whether someone may be able to look at this please and let me know where I'm going wrong, or perhaps even suggest a more efficient process of allowing the user to merge the workbooks.   • MS Query returns data inside itself but does not export it to Excel

    Hi, I'm having a strange problem with Excel and MS Query: I'm using MS Query to run a T-SQL query against a Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and return the results to Excel. To do this, I open Excel, go to Data - Import external data - New database query, select my data source, paste the SQL script in MS Query and click File - Return data to Microsoft Office Excel, leaving all the query options to their defaults. This works fine for many other Excel files, but this time although MS Query shows the correct data when I paste the SQL script, after returning to Excel all I get is the query name in the upper left cell, with no data returned. I fear the cause could be the SQL script, as it contains some advanced functions like union all, UDFs and variables. Here's the script: declare @date smalldatetime set @date = dateadd(day, datediff(day, 0, getdate()), 0) select [date], sum([hours]) as [hours] from ( select [date], [hours] from [server].[dbo].[udf] (84, '2010-01-01', @date) union all select [date], [hours] from [server].[dbo].[udf] (89, '2010-01-01', @date) union all select [date], [hours] from [server].[dbo].[udf] (93, '2010-01-01', @date) ) as [a] group by [date] order by [date] asc I can't get rid of the UDF as inside them are done advanced groupings involving cursors and temporary tables, nor I can remove the variable as the UDF won't accept dateadd(day, datediff(day, 0, getdate()), 0) as parameter.     Is there any way to convert conditional formatting to static formatting in Excel? I'm trying to export a range of a Excel Sheet to a new Workbook, with identical appearance but no formulas, links, etc. The problem here is that I have conditional formatting that relies on calculations outside exported range. I've tried saving the workbook to .html, oddly enough the formatting shows in IE but not when reopening it in Excel.

Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again. I am logging in from Administrator in XP machine, able to access server from other machines. Is there any problem with administrator profile??
