• Get back the default browser styling for input fields

  I need to style all the input fields but one. So i have set a rule for all the inputs on the site. For the seachfield i need to use the browser default, so i was thinking i could just inherit all the values i have set for the general input fields. (have tried border: none to) This does not work in FF nor Safari :( The border just gets transparent. http://jsfiddle.net/N5KKH/1/ Any idea how i could get the default browser styling back? • Access to an "upper" instance of a class from another instance of a different class

  Hello everyone! I have a tricky question and probably what I want to do is not even possible but... who knows... Python seems very flexible and powerful... I'd like to know if there's a way to access to the class (or its fields) where an object is instanciated. Let's say I have: def Class1: def __init__(self): self.title = "randomTitle" self.anotherField = float() self.class2Field = Class2() and the class whose type will be the class2Field: def Class2: def __init__(self): self.field1 = "" self.field2 = "" # . . . # I'd like to know if there's a way to access the instance of Class1 from the instance of Class2 that is declared in Class1 (meaning, accessing the fields of Class1 from the variable self.class2Field in that Class1 instance) I know I can always change the init in Class2 to accept a Class1 parameter, but I'd like to know if there's another way of "climbing" through the class hierachy... • MySQL UpdateXML with automatic node inserting?

  I am writing an application that supports custom fields. Currently I store all custom fields in a XML formated text field ( e.g. '<root><field1>val1</field1><field2>val2</field2></root>' in cust_field) I am able to to use updateXML(cust_field, '/root/field1', '<field1>new value</field1') to update those values, however if I use updateXML(cust_field, '/root/field3', '<field3>new value</field3>') then it does not work since field3 is not in the old value. Is there a way to let MySQL automatically insert the new field3 node and its value into cust_field? I am thinking about stored procedure or even stored function but not familiar with both, can anyone point me to the right direction?

  Hi, Assume i have a book entity with an isbn field. When entered a isbn number, i want 2 fields to be updated: title and author. My controller looks like this: def ajaxGetBook = { def book = Book.findByIsbn(params.isbn) if(book==null) book = new Book() render book as JSON } So my call works, and i get a full JSON Book. Now i would like to update 2 texfields by the update attribute <g:remoteField action="ajaxGetBook" update="title" name="isbn" value="${bookInstance?.book?.isbn}" paramName="isbn"/> Now the title field gets updated with the full book object, so that doesn't work. Is it possible to update field title with only the JSON book.title? Is it possible to update more fields at once? I could render book.title as JSON but that works for only one field. Thank you

• Crystal Reports: Cannot insert some fields from Field Explorer to Report

  I have an existing report (Crystal Reports 11) that is based on two Oracle views. I have made 'Verify database' already, it's done and up to date. My problem is that I can insert some fields to report but some other I cannot. For example: field Name (string(35)) is ok, but similar field Compamy (string(20)) I cannot insert to Report. Drag&drop does not work and small button "Insert to Report" in Field Explorer is disabled too. Next symptom: when I try to use functionless field (e.g. Company) in Record Selection Formula Editor, Crystal Reports crash. There is any way how to add these fields into Report? Thanks

  Hello, I have a simple query like: from e in endContratoRepository.GetAll() where e.Contrato.idContrato == contrato.idContrato && e.Volume.idVolume == 1 && group e by new { e.dpto.idDepartamento, e.centroCusto.idCentroCusto } into grp select new Entidade { Contagem = grp.Count(), centroCusto = grp.Key.idCentroCusto, dpto = grp.Key.idDepartamento } and the problem: The fields that are in the group by, are duplicated in the generated query. The fields centroCusto and dpto appears twice, so when I try to get the field centroCusto, I get dpto. Anyone know how to solve this? thanks a lot!

• Can't get jQuery to get focus on cloned input fields

  I have a page that needs to create dynamic form fields as often as the user needs, and I am trying to use Ajax to tie it in to my database for faster form entry and to prevent user typos. So, I have put my Ajax returned data into popup div, the user selects, then the form field is filled in. The problem comes on the cloned fields. They don't seem to want to bring up the popup div when focused. I am thinking it is something to do with when they get created/added to the DOM. • Wordpress meta data is written on top of page instead of the loop

  i'm building a wordpress webpage based on the Skeleton Wordpress theme. I have 2 posts showing on a page and each of these posts have custom fields values (meta data). Im using the shortcode from the skeleton theme to get a post-feed from a specific category and in that loop i have inserted this tag that displays the custom fields data <?php the_meta(); ?> I am getting the data - but the problem is, the data is shown on TOP of the page instead of inside the in the post. What could've ive possibly done wrong? or is it something with skeleton i am doing wrong?   I have an application for scheduling certain events. And all these events must be reviewed after each scheduled time. So basically we have 3 tables: items(id, name) scheduled_items(id, item_id, execute_at - datetime) - item_id column has an index option. reviewed_items(id, item_id, created_at - datetime) - item_id column has an index option. So core function of the application is "give me any items(which are not yet reviewed) for the actual moment". How can I optimize this solution for speed(because it is very core business feature and not micro optimization)? I suppose that adding index to the datetime fields doesn't make any sense because the cardinality or uniqueness on that fields are very high and index won't give any(?) speed-up. Is it correct? What would you recommend? Should I try no-SQL? -- mysql -V 5.075 I use caching where it makes sence.

• Can't type into some text fields in any browser on Windows 7

  I can't type into e.g. facebook's log in form with my computer. I hit my keys, but nothing happens. Special characters like c, c, š, etc. work. Backspace doesn't, delete does. This goes for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. This also happens with some other sites, sometimes even with gmail (or any google's log in form). I read somewhere that the solution is to reregister some dlls: regsvr32 mshtmled.dll regsvr32 jscript.dll regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll The first two work, the third one says The module "mshtml.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer.dll was not found. And of course, running just the first two didn't help. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

• Acrobat 9.3.2 printing hidden fields automatically

  We have a few clients internally running Acrobat Standard 9.0.0 and their documents are printing fine. One user upgraded to 9.3.2, and now when they try and print some of our documents, a hidden field area is automatically printing. I can't seem to find a way to turn it off. It doesn't appear in the document, or in print preview. Choosing to Examing the document and remove it removes the text, but not the spacing that the hidden area added. is there a setting to never print this? It's not something we want to have to adjust each time we open a document.

  Lately I cannot select a word (field) with the mouse. When I left click on a field drag the mouse to the end of the field then release the button, the selection (blue shading) disappears. Sometimes after several tries the shading stays and I can delete the field. Up to a week ago everything worked fine. Is this a bug, virus? I am using Windows 7 Also, in Live Mail after I finished reading an item in the Inbox, I click the X in the upper right corner to return to the rest of my mail, but instead it takes me back to the desktop and have to double click the Live Mail again to continue. Again this only happened recently. Things worked OK before and this does not happen regularly.

The last line contains unwanted text (in this case, the OS and TCP timing info) and 2 - remove any of the un-necessary data - i.e. print only the matching pattern. It is actually printing the whole line. If i remove the sed -n flag, the remaining file contents are also printed. I can't seem to locate a way to only print the matched regex. Being fairly new to sed and regex, any help or pointers is greatly appreciated!

How do I get back in the forms, so that the users can edit (and create) items including this column/field.   I have added some advanced properties into my Microsoft Word 2007 document. These were created by doing the following: Click the Office button - Prepare - Properties. Under the Document Properties drop-down menu, select Advanced Properties. In the Custom tab, add properties as needed. My question is how do you insert these custom properties into the Word document so that they are in text form and gets updated when you update the properties in that one spot? Thank you!

• How to replace emacs keybindings with vim keybindings in OS X GUI-level text fields

  I'm fairly fluent with VIM, but find myself having to use GUI programs (in OS X) and their awkward editing modes more and more frequently for my work. I know that OS X lets you use basic emacs keybindings in most textfields (browser window/bar, etc.). I'm wondering if it's possible to switch the emacs keybindings to vim keybindings for those GUI-level input areas. I understand that it might be possible to do that key-by-key in the keyboard layout preference pane. But that approach seems limited, cumbersome, and not very elegant. I'm thinking--and I may well be wrong here--that since OS X already ships with VIM installed, there should be a way to change a preference file deep in the system that maps VIM instead of emacs keybindings to the GUI text/input areas. Does anyone know if this is a) theoretically possible, or if there's something about how OS X maps emacs keybindings to its GUI interface that would make this impossible; and b) how/where that could be done?

• Referring to mailmerge fields in an if statement

  Context: Windows 7 Microsoft Office Word 2007 I have a mailmerge field named "On_FB". Current code: { IF { On_FB } = "Y" "You're on Facebook." "You're not on Facebok."} The moment I get out of code-editing view, the code goes haywire. When I flip back to code-editing view, I see that the code has magically turned into: { IF " Y" = "Y" "You're on Facebook." "You're not on Facebok."} Needless to say, this is a complete bust because it will always say that the person is not on Facebook. I tried putting { On_FB } on its own and that works fine. What can I do to make the If statement work? (By the way, all the { and } were inserted via CTRL+F9.)

• Take all fields in a database table and put them straight into a text file

  I have an database file (mdb) file that contains a dictionary of words. A couple thousand of them. I just need the words (in the order they are already in) put into a text file. Currently they have ID's associated with them (e.g. 1, 2, 3) but I don't need it. I just need the words. What is the best way to do this? Actually, if somebody is able to find a dictionary of English words (something along the lines of a scrabble dictionary) that is free online, I'll accept that too. I just can't seem to find any good ones online.

How can I understand which one I have? There seem to be no direct correspondence between contents of cpuinfo and info on Wikipedia page. AMD site seems to use some other naming scheme for processors too. How can I map values of family, model and stepping from cpuinfo to the data available on Wikipedia/AMD?
