    Hi, i just finish some MYSQL to excel script with xlwt and I need to colour every second row for easy reading. I have tried this: row = easyxf('pattern: pattern solid, fore_colour blue') for i in range(0,10,2): ws0.row(i).set_style(row) Alone this colouring is fine, but when when I write my data rows are again white.     G'day guys, I'm currently using fasterCSV to parse a CSV file in ruby, and wondering how to get rid of the initial row of data on a CSV (The initial row contains the time/date information generated by another software package) I tried using fasterCSV.table and then deleting row(0) then converting it to a CSV document then parsing it but the row was still present in the document. I need the first row inserted every day for the past X days. one of my columns is a timestamp, which i hold the time inserted, and another column is the row id. If it's not possible to get the first row inserted every day, i at least need a unique one; a single row for every day for the past x days. Any suggestions? Thanks okie

  • It is only uploading first row's file input

    I have a application which you can access here. If you open the application please click on the "Add" button a couple of times. This will add a new row into a table below. In each table row there is an AJAX file uploader. Now the problem is that if I click on the "Upload" button in any row except the first row, then the uploading only happens in the first row so it is only uploading the first file input only. Why is it doing this and how can I get it so that when then the user clicks the "Upload" button, the file input within that row of the "Upload" button is uploaded and not the first row being uploaded?     With Jquery, is there some way to make val() return an empty string instead of 'undefined' when called against an empty list of elements? E.g., I have this code: var x = $('#my-textbox-id').not('.watermark').val(); The idea is that I want to get the value of my textbox, but I want an empty string if it is currently showing the watermark (i don't want the watermark value!). The selector works, but i don't want 'undefined' - I want an empty string ''.

    I was looking for a way to create a trigger that would insert the same row into two tables with the same values. For example, a new row is inserted into pushNotificationQueue as soon as that is inserted, I would like that same exact row to be inserted into messages. I tried this CREATE TRIGGER add_to_messages after insert on mbb_pushNotificationQueue FOR EACH ROW insert into mbb_messages select * from mbb_pushNotificationQueue the only problem with that is that it goes through and adds entries that have already been previously added.

  • MySQL dump, output each table row on a new line whilst using --extended-insert

    I'm having an issue, where for ease of use, I'd like to be able to format a command line MySQL dump so that each row of a given table is on a new line when using the --extended-insert option. Usually when using --extended-insert, every row of a given table is outputted on one line, and as far as I am aware there's no way to change this, other than post-processing the dump with perl or such like. The format I'm looking for is: -- -- Dumping data for table `ww_tbCountry` -- INSERT INTO `ww_tbCountry` (`iCountryId_PK`, `vCountryName`, `vShortName`, `iSortFlag`, `fTax`, `vCountryCode`, `vSageTaxCode`) VALUES (22, 'Albania', 'AL', 1, 0.00, '8', 'T9'), (33, 'Austria', 'AT', 1, 15.00, '40', 'T9'), (40, 'Belarus', 'BY', 1, 0.00, '112', 'T9'), (41, 'Belgium', 'BE', 1, 15.00, '56', 'T9'), (51, 'Bulgaria', 'BG', 1, 15.00, '100', 'T9' However, when I dump a database using Phpmyadmin, using --extended-insert, each row is dumped on a new line (as shown by the example above). Is there any other way of doing this? I'm thinking of the following, but the current setup is really the most convenient one since I also have to use the data on the client side: store the product details in a file. So something like ASIN123.json store the product details in one big file. (I'm guessing it will be a drag to extract data from this file) store each of the fields in the details in its own table field Thanks in advance!

    I am trying to shift my style away from using tables to control formatting, but I haven't seen a simple css solution that does exactly the same thing as <table><tr><td>aribitrary-html-A</td><td>aribitrary-html-A</td></tr><table> All I want is to make sure aribitrary-html-A and aribitrary-html-B are aligned horizontally. I have tried various CSS concoctions using display: inline, clear: none, and float: left but they all have unwanted side-effects of moving my content around, while the table-tr solution just does what I want, regardless of what's in the arbitrary HTML, and regardless of what is in HTML that contains my table. Am I missing something?

    I wrote a little bash script and all of a sudden my /var/log folder is completely empty except for the log I created for the bash script.   • Rosegarden plugin list is empty

    I've just installed rosegarden through apt. I've also installed jack and a low latency kernel through a PPA https://launchpad.net/~abogani/+archive/ppa. I've started jack-server and through the control panel I can see its wiring things through rosegarden. I've also tried installing qsynth and dssi both through apt. However I can't see any plug ins in the synth plug-in list. Therefore I'm unable to test if this works. I've tried launching qsynth before rosegarden and I've tried a few things however I just can't see any plugins. Does anyone know how to get this to work?   • Upgrade to 12.04 results to empty Dash, no date & time either on the top panel

    I've upgraded from Ubuntu netbook remix something to 12.04 LTS, and I've got two issues. (Got an Asus eeePc 32bits, Intel 945GME x86/MMX/SSE2 and Intel Atom CPU N270 @ 1.6Ghz x2) Nothing in the Dash. Only the "home" tab, other tabs are missing. No search results whatsoever. Missing elements in the system panel, privacy and date & time. No date & time on the right corner either. I've tried to reset unity with the terminal but the process was a whole mess full of errors. It did show date & time in the system panel (not on the top-right corner) while the process was going on in the terminal. But then it was such a mess (no more icons on the right corner amongst other things), and the process wouldn't complete, so I had to reboot the computer and get Unity as before, still no date & time and privacy.

  • Excel INDIRECT function and conditional formatting - highlighting a row

    I'm having an issue with conditional formatting using the INDIRECT function. I'm doing something similar to Using INDIRECT and AND/IF for conditional formatting , but the only answer there isn't working for me. Basically, I want to highlight rows where B is not blank and F is blank. INDIRECT will work for ONE of the conditions, but = AND(INDIRECT("B"&ROW()) > 0, INDIRECT("F"&ROW()) = "") does not work at all. The answer in the question points to replacing the references with relative ones, so I'm thinking this should work: = AND ($B2 > 0, $F2 = "") But it does not, nor does ISBLANK($F@) or ISEMPTY($F2) (the cell contains a formula that sometimes will return "", I want the row highlighted in these cases but only when something is in column B). Am I missing something about relative references? Why doesn't INDIRECT work with AND/OR?

  • Interface is too empty

    I have recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 0n my PC without any third-party software (cause i havent been able to get my dial-up to work). When i open Ubuntu after reboot, there is absolutely nothing on the desktop screen except for an 'Untitled' folder at the corner of the screen. There is no menu, no taskbars at the top whatever. I dont know why this is happening. The .iso from which i have booted amd installed Ubuntu is fine. I have already conducted an md5sum test and it was all fine. Looking forward to your response.

  • Static Application Switcher is empty after show dekstop

    Im using the Static Application Switcher to configure my ALT + TAB to cycle trough all applications not grouped. So far so good. Then I press Super + D to "hide all normal windows" (show desktop). This setting is from Keyboard - Shortcuts - Navigation. This also works BUT After hide all normal windows has been activated and I press ALT + TAB nothing comes up. I suspect they have been hidden so well that the Application Switcher does not longer sees them. Anyone know if this can be fixed trough settings somewhere?

    I just installed MyGeneration 1.3.1 on my Windows Vista, and when I try to setup the default settings there are no drivers to select from. but it's OK in my Windows XP machine. At last I got the answers from search engine, it is caused by multi .Net Frameworks coexist and MyMeta.dll is registered by the .Net v2.0 while it should be registered with the .Net v4.0. So we have to manually register the dll. Please follow these steps: 1. Run Visual Studio Command Prompt (2010) with "Run as Administrator". 2. Enter the command "regasm.exe "C:\Program Files\MyGeneration13\MyMeta.dll" /tlb: MyMeta.tlb" 3. Exit Command Prompt when successfully registered. 4.     Suppose you have two interfaces: interface Readable { public void read(); } interface Writable { public void write(); } In some cases the implementing objects can only support one of these but in a lot of cases the implementations will support both interfaces. The people who use the interfaces will have to do something like: // can't write to it without explicit casting Readable myObject = new MyObject(); // can't read from it without explicit casting Writable myObject = new MyObject(); // tight coupling to actual implementation MyObject myObject = new MyObject(); None of these options is terribly convenient, even more so when considering that you want this as a method parameter. One solution would be to declare a wrapping interface: interface TheWholeShabam extends Readable, Writable {} But this has one specific problem: all implementations that support both Readable and Writable have to implement TheWholeShabam if they want to be compatible with people using the interface. Even though it offers nothing apart from the guaranteed presence of both interfaces. Is there a clean solution to this problem or should I go for the wrapper interface? Streams make a very specific distinction between input and output and there is a clear separation of responsibilities. Rather, think of something like a bytebuffer where you need one object you can write to and read from, one object that has a very specific state attached to it.
