The only thing it does is receives incoming calls and executes a Perl script. No outgoing calls, no incoming calls to an actual phone, no phones registered with Asterisk. It seems like there should be an easy way to block all unauthorized registration attempts, but I have struggled with this for a long time. It seems like there should be a more effective way to prevent these attempts from even getting far enough to reach my Asterisk logs. Some setting I could turn on/off that doesn't allow registration attempts at all or something. Is there any way to do this? Also, am I correct in assuming that the "Registration from ..." messages are likely people attempting to get access to my Asterisk server (probably to make calls on my account)? And what's the difference between those messages and the "Sending fake auth rejection ..." messages? Further detail: I know that the "Registration from ..." lines are intruders attempting to get access to my Asterisk server. With Fail2Ban set up, these IPs are banned after 5 attempts (for some reason, one got 6 attempts, but w/e). But I have no idea what the "Sending fake auth rejection ..." messages mean or how to stop these potential intrusion attempts. As far as I can tell, they have never been successful (haven't seen any weird charges on my bills or anything). Here's what I have done: Set up hardware firewall rules as shown below. Here, xx.xx.xx.xx is the IP address of the server, yy.yy.yy.yy is the IP address of our facility, and aa.aa.aa.aa, bb.bb.bb.bb, and cc.cc.cc.cc are the IP addresses that our VoIP provider uses.   • What is the best free program to burn DVD movies from DVD movie files that are present on the hard drive the way ImgBurn does it in Windows?

    Evaluating burning programs is difficult: it takes more time, while errors are very unpleasant. I have looked at AcetoneISO, Brasero, and K3B (which many recommend) but they seem more limited than Nero, CDBurnXP and especially ImgBurn from Windows. They all seem to work (did not tested them fully myself) but at a more basic level (create ISO, burn them, etc.). When it comes to something like creating a DVD movie disk from DVD movie files present on the hard drive, it seems to me that I would have to create the ISO first and then burn it, which involves using more hard drive space and more time. Looking in the Windows direction, there is a Nero for Linux. It costs money. ImgBurn is said to work well in Wine, but as yet I have not tested it enough. What other options are there?

    I have an *.xml file on a PC running Windows XP, with a structure something like... <movies id="my movies" <movie name="Unforgiven" <people star="Clint Eastwood" director="Clint Eastwood"/> </movie> <movie name="A Fistful of Dollars" <people star="Clint Eastwood" director="Sergio Leone"/> </movie> <movie name="J Edgar" <people star="Leonardo DiCaprio" director="Clint Eastwood"/> </movie> </movies> I want to open this file in a viewer utility which will show one line per movie, filtered by a condition such as director="Clint Eastwood", including the relevant value for movie name on each line. Note - that's just an example. My actual file has thousands of lines, each possibly several hundred bytes long, and there are many more levels and named values. The important thing is I want to apply a filter for a specified value of some field at some level. And I want to see one line for every case where that value occurs, showing the values for any fields I specify, even if they're stored at higher levels. I may be mistaken in saying what I want is a "pivot table" - I don't know what I should call it.

I'm looking at the site http://www.linkedin.com and I have to gather all of the public profiles and some of them have very fake names, like 'aaaaaa k dudujjek' and I've been told I can use NLP to find the real names, where would I even start?

    I've developed a small control bar for a Flash viewer generated by a third-party software. It has a First, Prev, Next & Last button, and a Zoom command. While Zoom works fine in all browsers, the navigation buttons seem to fail at Internet Explorer 8. I use at least two functions.     It seems like the steps right now are: Shoot movie sync iPhone with Mac via iTunes Open iPhoto Import photos from iPhone into iPhoto Open iMovie (or retart if it was already running) On startup, iMovie detects videos in iPhoto and imports them. Yikes. Is there an easier way? It's a bit odd that the videos are handled as photos, in the first place. And no, I'm not jailbreaking my iPhone simply to save me a few of these steps.

  • How to simulate a fake MouseOver on a Flash applet in a webpage?

    I listen to internet radio at http://player.play.it/player/player.htm and it works pretty well, except for one minor issue. The Flash applet that runs the radio player has a timer on it, where if you don't move the mouse over the player every once in a while, it decides you're idle and shuts off the stream, even if you're not actually idle, but just working on something else with the radio player running in the background. Is there any way I can send a fake MouseOver message to this applet to keep it from cutting me off in the middle of a song, maybe with a GreaseMonkey script? I'm using Firefox.

    I'm not sure what they call the fake shortcuts you often see in Windows now. A good example would be the link to any of the Office 2007 programs. You can tell one of these from a regular shortcut because the Target is grayed out and is not a real path. Can you access these through a .NET API? Like ask for the target? or get any of the information stored within it. I think these are somehow related to Windows Installer and Advertised programs.

I am having my own login system but i am also using some 3rd party to validate like OpenID or facebook Authetication. My question is if the user is able to log in successfully using OpenID or facebook Authentication, what steps do i need to do i.e do i have to insert one fake row in Users table because if i do not insert how will integrity be maintained. I mean what user id should i insert in UsersBookPurchase when the person who has logged in using Facebook Authentication has made a purchase because the UserId is reference key from Users table. Please give me a high level overview of what i need to do because this is fairly common scenario. Thanks in advance :)

  • How to split movie and play parts to look as a whole?

    I'm writing software which is demonstraiting video on demand service. One of the feature is something similiar to IIS Smooth Streaming - I want to adjust quality to the bandwith of the client. My idea is, to split single movie into many, let's say - 2 seconds parts, in different qualities and then send it to the client and play them. The point is that for example first part can be in very high quality, and second in really poor (if the bandwith seems to be poor). The question is - do you know any software that allows me to cut movies precisly? For example ffmpeg splits movies in a way that join is visible and really annoying (seconds are the measure of precision). I use qt + phonon as a player if it matters. Or maybe you know any better way to provide such feature, without splitting movie into parts?
