  Some time ago (~4-5months ago) I attented a lecture about JEE and at some point the lecturer started talking about webservices and how hard it is to create a good one because all the IDEs make them in a bit different way (or something like that) and that in general it's better to use Netbeans to create them as Eclipse has some issues, the thing is he didn't really say why Eclipse is bad. Now I'm wondering is what he said true and why, is it really better to use Netbeans for webservices and why?

I always have to switch to the shell and run 'setup.py test' or 'nosetests' manually. Is there a way to integrate this into netbenas 6.8?

  Hello all, I am trying to import NLTK in my python code and I get this error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/afs/NetBeansProjects/NER/getNE_followers.py", line 7, in import nltk ImportError: No module named nltk I am using NetBeans: 6.7.1, Python 2.6 NLTK. My NLTK module is installed in /usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/nltk/ and I have added this in Python paths in Netbeans. What am I missing here? Thanks in advance.

  When I try to run the netbeans profiler on my app engine project it says: runserver-profile: [java] Error occurred during initialization of VM [java] Could not find agent library in absolute path: C:\Program BUILD FAILED Target "Files\NetBeans" does not exist in the project I'm not sure if this is because its an app engine project or if its something else. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

  So I have been programming in C++ with Eclipse and have the habit of hitting enter to skip parentheses (anyone who has ever used eclipse probably knows what I am talking about). I have recently started learning Java and decided to use NetBeans, mostly due to the much more simple interface.   I have managed to initiate php-cli script debug session from the IDE itself, but I need to start the debugging session from the shell / command line. These are rather complex maintenance PHP scripts which take a lot of input parameters, so entering arguments from within Netbeans is a bit cumbersome. Eclipse always showed a little hard disk symbol over the file icon for files that were in sync with the svn repository, and an asterisk for files with changes that have not been committed. Is there a way to see the commit status in NetBeans? If not, what is your preferred way of recognizing which files to commit?

  I have just upgraded to netbeans 7.2.1 and phpunit is not working. I get the error:- Cannot run program C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.3.5\PEAR\phpunit-skelgen": CreateProcess error=193, %1 is not a valid Win32 application" when I try to generate PHPUnit tests. The only thing I can think of is that I seem to have a 64 bit version of netbeans installed - could this be the problem? If so, can anyone point me to a 32 bit version, because I couldn't see one on the website?

  I just installed NetBeans, and want to try it out. Some context tips (popup javadoc stuff) work, but nothing detailed. It says "Javadoc not found...". However, I use Eclipse (my current IDE) and it has no problem showing detailed context tips. Do I HAVE to download the 100+mb zip file to get the javadoc, or can I have Netbeans point to whatever Eclipse is already aware of?
