• Use 2 wireless adapters to connect to 2 WIFI networks (local and internet) simultaneously?

  On my HP Compaq 6710b there's an internal WIFI network adapter. Attached to the same laptop there's also an external USB Alfa WIFI adapter. I live near campus and can pick it's WIFI signal. The problem is that when I am connected to the Internet Wifi using the internal adapter, and then connect to the home (non-internet) Wifi network's router, I lose the connection to the internet (it stays connected, but there's no actual connection). So how can I use the two adapters to connect to both networks successfully ? The router is Belkin N150 Enhanced Router Model F6D4230-4 V1 The external adapter is: ALFA AWUS 036NHR

  I am reading the paper "Efficient Reconciliation and Flow Control for Anti-Entropy Protocols"! , I couldn't clearly understand Section 3.2 "Scuttlebutt Reconciliation". Here I extract out some sentences from the paper, which especially confuse me. If gossip messages were unlimited in size, then the sets contains the exact differences,just like with precise reconciliation. • Restricted Flow Of Power

  I'm sure all is fine, but i need some reassurance. Last month my company launched consolidated two of their websites into one new website. www.fdmgroup.com and www.fdmacademy.com into a newly designed www.fdmgroup.com. Because the FDM Academy grew as it's own brand we decided not to just forward the domain to the fdmgroup website, but instead just mirror the new FDM Group website and use a canonical tags to the FDM Group domain (so the link juice will pass to the FDM Group domain pages) The website has be live for nearly a month and i don't believe any power has passed down through the FDM Group website to it's deeper pages even though 301 redirects from the legacy group and academy domains in place. I am also seeing the same problem on the FDM Academy domain, but i expect to see this as every page has a canonical to the same page on the Is there anything which is restricting the flow of power through the site, or am i just being impatient. However, I can't seem to access the public address from within the local network. Is there something DSL does differently from Cable that makes this frustration possible?

• window login when web application is using network share in IIS 6

  Hi, I have installed a web application which is configured using a network drive But i am keep getting a pop up asking for credentials looking in the event log, the network logon is set to my domain/account which looks fine however caller user name is empty (not sure if this is an issue) the application works fine when i use a local drive the application also runs fine when i set "connect as" user the application also works fine when a share on the local machine is used!! direct asses using the unc path is not a problem Please advise what i can do or should check Thanks and Regards, James

  I've created a Fedora 15 liveCD that is customized for my application. On the first laptop I tried, it didn't have the driver for the Broadcom BCM43224 wireless network interface. • Windows XP: saving large files on network share stalls

  When I transfer larger files (a few hundred MB) on a network share (either Buffalo LinkStation or other Windows machine) from my Windows XP Pro SP3, it always stalls. Smaller files are no problem, reading from a network share is also no problem. I already had this problem on my notebook and now on my desktop machine, so I assume that it most likely is no driver problem.   I'm trying to find a utility that will allow me to generate a constant flow of random network traffic at a specified rate between 2 hosts. The utility needs to run on Windows and OSX. I've tried iperf but it seems to be more oriented toward short-term testing/statistics and it really taxes the CPU even at slower rates. I want something that will generate traffic for a few weeks at say 10Mbps while I use other tools to monitor the impact of that level of traffic on the network.
