Hello,
I've worked myself through the rapidXML sources and managed to read some values. Now I want to change them and save them to my XML file:
Parsing file and set a pointer
void SettingsHandler::getConfigFile() {
pcSourceConfig = parsing->readFileInChar(CONF);
cfg.parse<0>(pcSourceConfig);
}
Reading values from XML
void SettingsHandler::getDefinitions() {
SettingsHandler::getConfigFile();
stGeneral = cfg.first_node("settings")->value();
/* stGeneral = 60 */
}
Changing values and saving to file
void SettingsHandler::setDefinitions() {
SettingsHandler::getConfigFile();
stGeneral = "10";
cfg.first_node("settings")->value(stGeneral.c_str());
std::stringstream sStream;
sStream << *cfg.first_node();
std::ofstream ofFileToWrite;
ofFileToWrite.open(CONF, std::ios::trunc);
ofFileToWrite << "<?xml version=\"1.0\"?>\n" << sStream.str() << '\0';
ofFileToWrite.close();
}
Reading file into buffer
char* Parser::readFileInChar(const char* p_pccFile) {
char* cpBuffer;
size_t sSize;
std::ifstream ifFileToRead;
ifFileToRead.open(p_pccFile, std::ios::binary);
sSize = Parser::getFileLength(&ifFileToRead);
cpBuffer = new char[sSize];
ifFileToRead.read( cpBuffer, sSize);
ifFileToRead.close();
return cpBuffer;
}
However, it's not possible to save the new value. My code is just saving the original file with a value of "60" where it should be "10".

Thanks a lot.
I'm very new to iOS development so forgive me if this is a newbie question. I have a simple authentication mechanism for my app that takes a user's email address and password. I also have a switch that says 'Remember me'. If the user toggles that switch on, I'd like to preserve their email/password so those fields can be auto-populated in the future.
I've gotten this to work with saving to a plist file but I know that's not the best idea since the password is unencrypted. I found some sample code for saving to the keychain, but to be honest, I'm a little lost. For the function below, I'm not sure how to call it and how to modify it to save the email address as well.
I'm guessing to call it would be: saveString(@"passwordgoeshere");
Thank you for any help!!!
+ (void)saveString:(NSString *)inputString forKey:(NSString *)account {
NSAssert(account != nil, @"Invalid account");
NSAssert(inputString != nil, @"Invalid string");

[query setObject:account forKey:(id)kSecAttrAccount];
[query setObject:(id)kSecAttrAccessibleWhenUnlocked forKey:(id)kSecAttrAccessible];
OSStatus error = SecItemCopyMatching((CFDictionaryRef)query, NULL);
if (error == errSecSuccess) {
// do update

forKey:(id)kSecValueData];
error = SecItemUpdate((CFDictionaryRef)query, (CFDictionaryRef)attributesToUpdate);
NSAssert1(error == errSecSuccess, @"SecItemUpdate failed: %d", error);
} else if (error == errSecItemNotFound) {
// do add
[query setObject:[inputString dataUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding] forKey:(id)kSecValueData];
error = SecItemAdd((CFDictionaryRef)query, NULL);
NSAssert1(error == errSecSuccess, @"SecItemAdd failed: %d", error);
} else {
NSAssert1(NO, @"SecItemCopyMatching failed: %d", error);
}
}
I have created below script which is saving the csv file in the same path of this script but when I am saving it to different directory, it gives me error. Can somebody please help me on this?

I'm trying to prepare a deployment of office 2013 pro plus.
If I deploy an existing .rsp file that was left behind by the old analyst (typing from the client):
PS C: \\deploybox\software\Office2013\setup.exe /adminfile \\deploybox\software\Office2013\SWKS.MSP
Things seem to deploy just fine.
if I make any changes to the .rsp file by doing (all from the client):
PS C: \\deploybox\software\Office2013\setup.exe /admin
* Open SWKS.MSP
* Make changes
* Save under a different name SWKS1.MSP
I get the following errorbox:
Unhandled Exception:
MsiGetSummaryInformation call failed.
And if I try to deploy the new SWKS1.MSP,
PS C: \\deploybox\software\Office2013\setup.exe /adminfile \\deploybox\software\Office2013\SWKS1.MSP
it fails with the message:
Path or file specified with /adminfile did not contain any customization patches that apply to this product or platform.
If I even open the old known good .rsp file SWKS.MSP, and immediately save it
as a new name SWKS1.MSP, making no changes, then the same thing happens.
So what stupid newbie mistake am I making here?
Thanks!
I currently have a Windows Server running beneath my desk and was considering replacing it with a ESXi layer to run both a Windows and Unix virtual machine. The ESXi is going to give me some nice advantages that I can use but I am still stuck on this issue:
The server is mainly used as a fileserver/local webserver, and I use Windows tasks to hibernate/wake the machine at night. Also there is an aggressive disk spin down timeout to reduce noise.
With ESXi, this will not be possible to do any more. I could live with the server running 24/7, but I would really like to spin down the disks when not in use. Is there a way to do this on ESXi?
I installed IIS 7.5 (Windows 7) on two different PCs, one PC saves configuration to applicationHost.config and the other to web.config! Screenshot:
As you can see, the PC on the left does not contain the settings (they are stored in applicationHost.config) and the PC to the right does in fact store the settings in web.config.
I have not and hope not to modify the configuration files by hand and would like to do it using IIS Manager only.
Does anyone know why this happens or if there is some setting to force configuration to the web.config file? Thank you.
Edit: I am adding a screenshot of the applicationHost.config file (PC on the left) demonstrating how the configuration is stored in it instead of inside the web.config file.
Is there any way to save Wireshark capture options? So it can be reuse after restart Wireshark. Also, if the saved file is in plain text, it's possible to use scripts generating bunch of capture settings, such with different filter setting. Does anyone know? Thanks.
Within our corporate SharePoint 2007 site, there is a particular form library that contains 10 separate files. 9 of these are either Excel, Word, or PowerPoint files and one of these is an InfoPath 2007 form that serves as a report. After noticing an error within this InfoPath form, I saved this InfoPath form to my local directory and then, within the design mode of InfoPath, I modified this InfoPath form.
What is the proper way to save this modified InfoPath form to its form library? Everything that I have tried results in nobody except myself having access to this modified InfoPath form. I can open this InfoPath form without error but when my coworkers try to open this InfoPath form on their machines, they receive this error: “The form cannot be opened because it requires the domain permission level and it currently has restricted permission. To fix this problem, open the form from the location it was published to."
I have a issue with the admin site of prestashop. I'm trying to activate the caching system but it doesn't save the setting.
When I add a server (I'm using an Amazon ElasticCache server) saves it, but when I select the enable option and click Save, it redirects me to "Back Office Preferences Performance" but with a blank page and the admin tabs visible.
I go back to those settings again and i see that the caching option is disabled.
Also, there is a warning:
"To use Memcached, you must install the Memcache PECL extension on
your server. http://www.php.net/manual/en/memcache.installation.php"
, even if i already installed memcached via yum.
I tried also, by modifying the settings.inc.php file editing define('_PS_CACHE_ENABLED_', '0');
to:
define('_PS_CACHE_ENABLED_', '1');
But i get 500 Internal Server Error in every page, so i prefer to leave it as before.
Any ideas?
I'm using PrestaShop 1.4.6.2 with Nginx 1.0.11 and PHP-FPM 5.3.8 in a CentOS 5.7 system.
I'm trying to save webpage as an image. The web page I'm trying to save is bit long and has many images (http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2012/10/hurricane_sandy_the_superstorm.html)
I tried Google Chrome Screen Capture Extention
and few other Chrome Screen Capture Plugins but all gave empty image as output.
How to overcome this? Is there any other known Plugin (non Chrome is OK) to save large web page as an Image?
I have developed an HTML e-campaign which uses tables and all the ugly stuff required for HTML emails.
I'm pasting this via Open File ( I paste the URL ) and it retrieves the resources ( images ) and pastes the layout in MS Word. When I go and save this as an RTF, close Word and reopen the RTF, the images are broken.
Anyone have a clue as to how to work around this issue? I can confirm 100% that the image resource is VALID, it's through http and NOT https.
I've tried various advanced options relating to tables/formatting and all to no avail.
I have a local share with my VMware development server and I'm finding that when I create new files via Mac OS X, they are created under root instead of jacob.
Which is weird because when I do the connect to server thing I'm explicit about the user being jacob i.e.

Every time I restart/shut down my VM in VirtualBox (image is Ubuntu 10.02), whenever I start it back up, it reverts to the state it was in after I installed Guest Additions. This is extremely frustrating as every time I make progress on a project, whenever it restarts (mostly from crashing), I have to redo mostly everything. Is this a known problem with Guest Additions or with Virtual Box in general, and if so is there some solution?
Automator allows to save a workflow as an application bundle. It uses an Automator specific icon for doing this.
I want to change this icon (using different icons for different workflows).
I can do this by going into the application bundle and change the icon with Icon Composer. The disadvantage of this solution is that if I open the application bundle in Automator and save it, it uses the default icon again. Is there a way to change the icon for good?
Hi All,
I have this problem where, in any application, 95% of the time when i try to save it pops up with a "Save As" dialogue. And if i try to select the original file i get an error popup "The operation could not be completed".
I have Windows 7 RC 64bit with a X-25M SSD. I have upgraded the firmware for the SSD just in case and still the problem persists.
Has anyone come across this before or know the problem?
Or is there some indication i should be looking for in the event logs?
Thanks

When I attempt to save files, it sometimes (randomly) fails. In Blender, I sometimes get "Version Backup Failed: File Saved With @". In Visual Studio, building sometimes fails with an error message indicating that the target file/exe cannot be overwritten.
If I wait a bit, I can save fine. It's almost as if programs are taking an abnormal amount of time to 'let go' of the files.
What could be causing this behaviour?
This seems to be caused by Windows Live Mesh monitoring my files, and locking them whenever it uploads the new versions (BAD considering the amount of times I save my files, even redundantly).
Any suggestions to work around this behaviour? Should I switch to a better service to sync my files?
VLC Player v1.1.11
Windows 7 Ultimate
VLC player launches each new video with setting I used once to brighten a dark video. On a second computer, VLC player opens all videos rotated 270 which was a feature I used once. I now have to manually uncheck Image adjust on one computer & uncheck Transform on another for each video to have it play without these custom settings.
I've custom mapped VLC Hotkeys that I use extensively. As a result, I do not want to "reset preferences" and lose my Hotkey mapping.
VLC Tools Settings Video Effects Basic Image Adjust (Brightness, Contrast, etc.)
VLC Tools Settings Video Effects Basic Transform (Rotate 90, 180, 270)
Is there a setting I'm not finding to stop VLC from applying a one time adjustment to all videos?
I have an Excel workbook with a lot of rows in it. I filter it using the values of one column and then I want to save the filtered results to a CSV file. When I do "Save as..." I get all the rows. I can copy paste the filtered results to another sheet and save from there but I'd rather not. It's Excel 2003 primarily.
I am connecting SharePoint hosted site outside of my intranet through IE 8. While accessing the site, i am required to provide user name and password with an option to remember the password. Selecting the remember password doesn't seem to remember the password. It prompts every time accessing the site. Is there a workaround for this? Many thanks!!
I have several users who access their accounts on OSX through their windows machines over samba. As soon as they update/save a file, it sets the permissions to -rwxr----- which means no other users can read the files. This affects apache user, for example, so changes to their files under their Sites directory means Apache can no longer serve the pages.
I've looked into /etc/smb.conf, /var/db/smb.conf, and /var/db/samba/smb.shares but I can't figure out how to force it to use the parent folders permissions. Thanks in advance.
