  • drop down not retaining selected value after post back

    I'm using classic asp, I have a drop down list that the user selects and then presses submit. After they press submit the drop down list is going back to the default value instead of what they selected. Is there anyway to keep the state of the drop down between post backs instead of it going back to the default? Can post code sample if needed. Thanks!

    I want to create a table which displays in each row a set of data, in addition to a radio button for possible selection. This can be achieved easily by using a simple table model class which extends the DefaultTableModel and a cell renderer and editor class which implements the TableCellRenderer and TableCellEditor interfaces respectively. What I really couldn't manage to do is to make the table to display initially one of the elements (rows) initially selected. It seems straightforward but it isn't...does anybody have a clue about it?

    I am trying to create a picture gallery in android, where picture in selection (in gallery) will be bigger in size, glow a little bit. Where as pictures not selected will be dull, and smaller in size. I tried gallery.setUnselectedAlpha() function to make images unselected dull, but it is not working. How to achieve the effect, please help.

What I want to do is be able to right click on a link (but not have to actually highlight it) and be able to click send and the links href value is grabbed and sent.     I have a windows form with a listview control. I set the MultiSelect property to true and I added a selected_index changed event. I get the event fired when I click the same index as the current selected index. My expectation is that I will not get the event fired. The strange thing is that the event fired 1 second after I click the index. I appreciate for any reply to explain why this is happening.
