    Actually I have make it for sending mail. It is sending mail to all Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail. But when we send it to our company mail address it does not work. It does not give an error but mail not received, but when we send mail from Yahoo to our address that is working fine. It does not work for my code. When I sending mail to company webmail, for exmaple [email protected], from my yahoo mail I got this mail on my sending ID. This is the thing, after installing and reviewing the logs on Wireshark: Outlook Express: HELO machine AUTH LOGIN username base64 encoded password base64 encoded mails go through. Outlook 2010: HELO machine AUTH DIGEST-MD5 response from server Outlook sends just a * AUTH LOGIN password base64 encoded So... I can send mails in the same domain, but can't send outside, it gives me a relay denied message. My point is... Why the h**l Outlook 2010 doesn't send the username AND the password?! It can never login the right way :| With other versions of Outlook it works fine, and with OE works great, it auths and allows to send mail to a different domain. I've googled and nothing worked. I'm pretty sure that I'm not alone with this one. My last resort will be to configure a local proxy/server that relays to the original one :| Any help would be appreciated.     Hi, I am using the free version for Google Apps to host my mail. I want to set is so that mail is routed via google apps as this will give me a much better reputation and mail will not go to the spam folder as much. Doe anyone know how this is done? Would I need to setup IIS to do this? The site is writeen in C# ASP.NET. So Could I perhaps just update the web.config file to route mail via google apps?

    I have noticed that it's possible to telnet into a mailserver that I own and send spoofed messages to other clients. This only works for the domain that the mail server is regarding; I cannot do it for other domains. For example; lets say that I own example.com. If I telnet example.com 25 I can successfully send a message to another user without authentication: HELO local MAIL FROM: [email protected] RCPT TO: [email protected] DATA SUBJECT: Whatever this is spam Spam spam spam . I consider this a big problem; how do I secure this?

  • 12.04 WiFi issue on a particular access point

    I have a WiFi access point that I connect to a PC to share its Internet connection with multiple machines, in a training environment. All the machines with 11.04 connect to this access point with no problem, and can access any server on the Internet. These machines have an Intel Wireless -N 1030 BGN chipset (as reported by lspci). Now, my problem is that I don't manage to connect 12.04 machines to this wireless network. The systems I tried do manage to connect (confirmed by Network Manager), but when I try to access a website like http://kernel.org, the browser shows "Connecting to kernel.org...", but displays a "The connection has timed out" error page. Other symptoms: Name resolution works (for example 'nslookup kernel.org') finds kernel.org's IP address 'ping kernel.org' doesn't work The same 12.04 machines have no problem at all with other wireless networks. So there is probably something weird in my access point (though the 11.04 machines are not impacted). Would you have any suggestions for investigating this issue? Thanks, Michael.

    I have an Access 2003 database that connects to a SQL Server 2008 box via ODBC. The tables from SQL Server are connected as linked tables in Access. I have a stored procedure on the SQL Server that I am trying to execute via ADO code. The problem I have is that Access cannot seem to find the procedure. What do I have to do within Access to be able to execute this stored procedure? Some facts ... The stored procedure in question accepts one parameter which is an integer. The stored procedure returns a recordset which I am hoping to use as the datasource for a ListBox. Here is my ADO code in Access ...   • IIS SMTP server (Installed on local server) in parallel to Google Apps

    I am currently using free version of Google Apps for hosting my email.It works great for my official mails my email on Google is [email protected]. In addition I'm sending out high volume mails (registrations, forgotten passwords, newsletters etc) from the website (www.mydomain.com) using IIS SMTP installed on my windows machine. These emails are sent from [email protected] My problem is that when I send email from the website using IIS SMTP to a mail address [email protected] I don’t receive the email to Google apps. (I only receive these emails if I install a pop service on the server with the [email protected] email box). It seems that the IIS SMTP is ignoring the domain MX records and just delivers these emails to my local server.   • james - mail server DNS configuration

    hi, I am setting up james mail server. I installed James and added in the config.xml added the servername as mydomain.com. In the DNS for mydomain.com, I have created a A-record, say mx.mydomain.com, which corresponds to the ipaddress of the above mail server machine. Then added mx.mydomain.com as MX record for mydomain.com. In James, I have created a new user test. From the user I have sent a mail to my gmail account. I see that the mail is accepted and the mail is in outgoing folder of James. But it's not relay to the gmail server. In the config.xml of James, I have added 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as the dns server addresses, which are public DNS servers hosted by Google. IPTables on the machine is stopped. Thanks for your help!

Is there such a product that could sit on a hosted rack somewhere that would look at an incoming email and from information in AD determine which mail server to relay the message to?

I've tried setting up reverse DNS with the server host and creating the SPF record in GoDaddy but we still get some of these errors. (10): Connection refused] I also looked in /var/log/mail.log and it has multiple entries of: postfix/smtpd[12239]: connect from 5acefc9a.bb.sky.com[90.206.252.xxx] Mar 23 06:47:09 new-domain postfix/smtpd[12239]: lost connection after CONNECT from 5acefc9a.bb.sky.com[90.206.252.154] Notice new-domain which is incorrect but the server hostname and hostname in the configs are correct? I recently moves servers and the host has set the primary domain on the service as new-domain.com so this may be the issue? Like I said, it works to connect to outgoing server, but incoming gets the not responding error? Any idea would be much appreciated!

    Let's say my users have accounts on some mail server mail.example.com. I currently have my mx record set to mail.example.com and all is good. Now let's say I want to have mails initially delivered to an external service (e.g. Postini. Note that this is not a postini-specific question though). In the normal situation where my mx is set directly to my mail server mail.example.com, sending MTAs will of course look up my MX and send to mail.example.com. In my new situation I'd have my mx set to mx.othermailservice.com and emails would be received there. OtherEmailService.com will then relay the emails (while keeping the return-path header the same) to mail.example.com. Do the emails that are received at mail.example.com after be relayed from the other service "look" any different than emails that go directly to it as would be the case where the mx was set to mail.example.com?

  • Splitting MS Access Database - Front End Part Location

    One of the best practices as specified by Microsoft for Access Development is splitting Access application into 2 parts; Front End that hold all the object except tables and the Back End that holds the tables. The msdn page links there to the article Splitting Microsoft Access Databases to Improve Performance and Simplify Maintainability that describes the process in details. It is recommended that in multi user environment the Back End is stored on the server/shared folder while the Front End is distributed to each user. That implies that each time there are any changes made to the front end they need to be deployed to every user machine. My question is: Assuming that the users themselves do not have rights to modify the Front End part of the application what would be the drawbacks/dangers of leaving this on the server as well next to the Back End copy? I can see the performance issues here, but are there any dangers here like possible corruptions etc? Thank you EDIT Just to clarify, the scenario specified in question assumes one Front End stored on the server and shared by users. I understand that the recommendation is to have FE deployed to each user machine, but my question is more about what are the dangers if that is not done. E.g. when you are given an existing solution that uses the approach of both FE and BE on the server. Assuming the the performance is acceptable and the customer is reluctant to change the approach would you still push the change? And why exactly? For example the danger of possible data corruption would definitely be the strong enough argument, but is that the case?   • What are the Limitations for Connecting to an Access Query in Excel

    I have an Access 2007 database that has a number of tables, some are fairly large (100,000+ records); I have created a union query to pull some of the same types of data from multiple tables into one large query for pivot table manipulation and reporting. For example: SELECT Language FROM Table1 UNION ALL SELECT Language FROM Table2 UNION ALL SELECT Language FROM Table3; This works. I found, quickly, however, that a union query will not show up when connecting to the datasource from Excel 2007. So, I created a second query to reference the union query. Like so: SELECT * FROM [The Above Union Query]; This query works and it, initially, was accessible from Excel. Time passed, I've added more data. Suddenly, when I connect to my Access database from Excel my query referencing the union has disappeared. MS Access shows no signs of an issue (data displays in Access) and my other non-union queries are showing up in Excel 2007 ... but not the one that references the union. What could be going on? Why did it disappear? I noticed if I switch some of the referenced tables in the union query to a smaller table (with less rows) all of sudden the query appears in Excel again. At least, I think that's what the difference is. I really can't put my finger on why some of the union queries won't show up and some will. Am stumped and need some guidance. Thanks.
