• Should I change $_REQUEST to $_POST

  Hey guys quick question, I have a checkbox system where a list of items can be checked and deleted on the click of a button. I currently use request and it does the job but I was wondering if $_REQUEST was some sort of security risk or improper. If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it. Should I change to $_POST?   I want to change css visibility and display attributes using jQuery on click when the state of another div's visibility attribute changes. • Change Default Winform Icon Across Entire App

  Can I change the default icon used on a Winform? Most of my forms have their icon property set to a custom icon. For the few forms that slip through the cracks, I don't want the generic "hey look, he made this in visual studio" icon. One solution is to tediously check every one of my forms to make sure they either have a custom icon set or have ShowIcon set to False. Another solution is to have every one of my forms inherit from a base class that sets a custom icon in the constructor. Aside from those solutions, what other options do I have? EDIT: I was hoping there would be a way to replace the source of the stock icon with my own. Is it in a resource file somewhere? Or is it embedded in a .NET dll that I can't (or really, really shouldn't) modify? BOUNTY EDIT: Is there a way to accomplish this without editing or writing a single line of code? I don't care how impractical, complicated, waste-of-time the solution is... I just want to know if it's possible. I need to satisfy my curiosity.

• Primefaces tabview: set the active index on tab change

  I've got a tab view that contains two tab. When I switch from tab 1 to tab 2, I'm calling some code that executes a validation and updates some values. Depending on the result of this validation, I would like to stay on tab 1, or go to tab 2, and refresh the tabs' content. I thought adding an update attribute to p:ajax would render the whole tabview but only the tabs and/or the tabs' content is re rendered. And weirdest of all, if I change update=":form:tabview" to update=":form" or update="@form", I only receive the tab's content in the ajax response - the component disappears from the page! My bean is viewscoped, I'm using Primefaces 3.5, JSF 2.1 and Tomcat 7. Any idea? Thanks.

  I recently upgraded my Android app to support multiple resolutions. Previously, my Android.manifest file had a line: To support multiple density and resolution devices, I changed this to: <supports-screens android:smallScreens="false" android:normalScreens="true" android:largeScreens="true" android:anyDensity="true" /> <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="3" android:targetSdkVersion="4" /> I then added a couple of new directories, like drawable-hdpi-v4 and drawable-long-hdpi-v4 that includes the high-res versions of the graphics. That's about it. Ever since releasing this update, there have been a decent number of users complaining about various problems: - the app icon doesn't appear (I did not create a high res version of the icon) - the home screen widget no longer works, even if they delete and re-add it (this code did not change with the update).   I am trying to use a singleton to store variables that will be used across multiple view controllers. I need to be able to get the variables and also set them. How do I call a method in a singleton to change the variables stored in the singleton. total+=1079; [var setTotal:total]; where var is a static Singleton *var = nil; I need to update the total and send to the setTotal method inside the singleton. But when I do this the setTotal method never gets accessed. The get methods work but the setTotal method does not. Please let me know what should. • How do I use .htaccess RewriteRule to change underscores to dashes

  I'm working on a site, and its CMS used to save new page urls using the underscore character as a word seperator. Despite the fact that Google now treats underscore as a word seperator, the SEO powers that be are demanding the site use dashes instead. This is very easy to do within the CMS, and I can of course change all existing URLs saved in the MySQL database that serves the CMS. My problem lies in writing a .htaccess rule that will 301 old style underscore seperated links to the new style hyphenated verstion. • Change a UIButton View's background upon press

  This should be easy but its got me stumped. I've got a button on each row of a table cell. The button is to delete the file associated with that row. I have an image that indicates if the file is present on the iPhone or not present. When the user presses the button, the target action method (showDeleteSheet) then calls a UIActionSheet with a variable to give it the indexPath of the row pressed. Then the user presses delete on the action sheet and the action sheet's clickedButtonAtIndex method deletes the file. Now, I need to update the button's background image property to change the image in the appropriate table cell to the not downloaded image. This can be done in either the button's target action method or the action sheet's clickedButtonAtIndex method. Because I test if the file is downloaded when the button is made and the background image is set, when I scroll down so the cell in question is de-queued then scroll back up it show's the correct image. I've tried to force the table to reload but [table reloadData]; is doing nothing. I've tried reloadRowsAtIndexPaths and still no good. Any one care to educate me on how this is done?

I have a MS Access Database that stores login information which includes ID, FullName, FirstName, LastName, Username, Pawword, AcessLevels. My question is this: I currently have session variable to track the Username when it is entered into the login page. However I would like to use that Username to pull the User's FullName to display throughout the web pages and use for querying data. How do I change the session variable to read that when they are not entering their FullName on the login page but only Username and password. • JQuery not copying state dropdown list 1 to DDL2 on checkbox change

I have a billing and shipping address form with a dropdown list for the state. Upon checking/unchecking the "billing address same as shipping" everything copies over except the state dropdown list. • Change TextView without completely re-drawing layout?

  I've found that updating a text view every second in my app burns a lot of CPU. The textview is in a horizontal LinearLayout, which is in turn inside of a vertical LinearLayout. Switching to a RelativeLayout (as recommended to increase perf) is not an option right now (I tried to get that working originally, but it was too complicated). The horizontal LinearLayout has 3 elements. The outer ones are TextViews with a layout_weight of 0, and the middle one is a progress bar with a layout_weight of 1 to make it expand to take up most of the space. I'm changing the contents of the leftmost TextView every second So, is there a way to change the contents of the text view without re-drawing everything? Or, can I force the TextViews to use a fixed amount of space to simplify the layout. Other tips for speeding up a LinearLayout are greatly appreciated as well. For reference, here is my entire layout. • How to change the border on a listboxitem while using a predefined template

  Hey, I'm using one of the defined wpf themes for my application, so all my controls automatically are pimped according to that theme. Now i am filling a listbox with items (usercontrols), but not all of them should be visible at all time. But when i'm setting height to 0 (of usercontrol) or setting to invisible, i get a thick grey border of the listboxitems. Can someone help me override the border of the listboxitem or show me where in the template i need to change the border, cause i just can't find it. • WPF Combobox binding: can't change selection.

  After wasting hours on this, following on the heels of my Last Problem, I'm starting to feel that Framework 4 is a master of subtle evil, or my PC is haunted. I have three comboboxes and a textbox on a WPF form, and I have an out-of-the-box Subsonic 3 ActiveRecord DAL. When I load this "edit record" form, the comboboxes fill correctly, they select the correct items, and the textbox has the correct text. I can change the TextBox text and save the record just fine, but the comboboxes CANNOT BE CHANGED. The lists drop down and highlight, but when you click on an item, the item selected stays the same. The Subsonic DAL doesn't implement INotifyPropertyChanged, but I don't see as it'd need to for simple binding like this. I just want to be able to pick something from the dropdown and save it. Comparing it with my last problem (link at the top of this message), I seem to have something really wierd with data sources going on. Maybe it's a Subsonic thing?
