• how to link static library into dynamic library in gcc

  Under gcc (g++), I have compiled a static .a (call it some_static_lib.a) library. I want to link (is that the right phrase?) this .a file into another dynamic library (call it libsomeDyn.so) that I'm building. Though the .so compiles, I don't see content of .a under .so using nm command: /usr/bin/g++ -fPIC -g -O2 -Wall -Werror -pipe -march=pentium3 -mtune=prescott -MD -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -DLINUX -D_GNU_SOURCE -D_THREAD_SAFE -DUSE_STD_YUTSTRING -DNO_FACTORY -I../../../../../../../../ -I../../../../../../../..//libraries -Wl,-rpath,/usr/lib -o libsomeDyn.so some.o another.o some_static_lib.a -shared -Wl -x -Wl,-soname,libsomeDyn.so I do not see functions under some_static_lib.a under libsomeDyn.so. • A fast way to get Reporting Services local site working?

  Hello I was here trying to figure out why my Reports manager is empty, there's no tabs at all. I installed SQL Server 2008 complete, but didn't not configure Reporting Services. When installing SQL Server 2008, this Windows 7 version didn't have yet IIS installed, I installed it later. I don't see where is this localhost/Reports physically on my Hard Drive, where is the physic folder? I don't see on IIS where is Report folder, would it exist? The site settings people talk about, I can't find it. The "Reporting Services" service is running on automatic at SQL Server Configuration Manager. How can I get Reporting Services this working without struggling? (I can't see why is necessary to customize all these user permissions)

Has anyone faced a similar problem? I do not want to statically register the receiver in the Manifest file, as I don't want my app to be started by connectivity changes.

  I am trying to create an option in the right-click menu that is dynamic based on the user's action. If the user selects some text, then right-clicks, the option will say "Display It". If the user right-clicks without selecting some text, the option will say "Select Some Text First" and be grayed out. I am wondering how do I achieve this? I currently have it so that the option will appear only when the user has selected some text. The code looks good to and I've implemented it here on my local machine, but I'm still not able to transcend top level domains on a single login.   Is there something in WCF configuration that defines a timeout for executing a request at service side? E.g. WCF service will stop executing request after some time period. I have a service which make some work depending on client input. In some cases a such call may take too much time. I want to limit the execution time of such requests on service side, not client one using SendTimeout. I know about OperationTimeout property, but it doesn't abort the service request, it just tells a client that the request is timed out.

  Like the title states, does anyone out there have a clear way to implement this type of functionality? Example: If you go to http://weewar.com, in their front page you noticed an ajax module that updates every second. However, all of the new items are added to the top of the list. My question is around that very same functionality. Does anyone have an easy and clear idea as to how one would implement this functionality? So far I have a method that initially creates the list, then another method is called in an interval that pulls the most recent data from the server.. However, I'm stuck with, how can I add the new dynamic node to the top of the list.   I have added dynamic from jQuery in my code, but when I go back one page and return to the page where the 's are added and you press them, they somehow click twice now. I have tried with an alert('something'); when I click: $(document).on('click', '#products a', function() { alert('something'); } And it's shown twice when you return to the page. I have tried $('#products a').remove(); When you click the 'Back' button, because I thought all elements where added twice, but that made no difference. I don't have anything around these lines, maybe I need $(document).ready(); or something with pageinit?

However i am looking for a dynamic solution to create templates for pages within the CMS and all areas must be editable via the administration area, maybe large text areas broken into multiple areas, text and image area on a page etc. Following on from the above i would like to create the following: Create a new page (selecting a pre-defined template like below) http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/9872/nestedpages.png and then upon editing the page it would have created as many text editors required for each editable region or a file upload control for an image area for example. i am thinking of using nested masterpages for the design elements, just unsure the best-practice way to achieve the above (db structure etc) I somehow hope this provides enough information but are happy to answer any questions you may have.   Hi! I've decided to learn Symfony and right now I am reading through the very start of the "Practical Symfony" book. After reading the "Web Server Configuration" part I have a question. The manual is describing how to correctly configure the server: browser should have access only to web/ and sf/.../ directories. The manual has great instructions regarding this and being a Linux user I had no problem following them and making everything work on my local machine. However that involves editing VirtualHost entries which normally is not easy to do on common shared hosting servers. So I wonder what is the common technique that Symfony developers use to get the same results in shared hosting environment? I think I can do that by adding "deny from all" in the root and then overwriting that rule in the allowed directories. However I am not sure if that's the easiest way and the way that is normally used.

I have a button in the main aspx page on click of which it will check(if checked or not) for all the checkbox and fetch the corresponding row from the gridview. The view is for tabbed menu.   I am having the hardest time trying to figure out this (should be) simple css: Website is here: http://mibsoftware.us/fct/index.php I'm simply trying to get my #leftcolumn and #maincolumn to be inside the #content_container, yet whatever I'm doing isn't working at all. I'd like for the #content_container to be a dynamic height since the height of #leftcolumn and #maincolumn change depending on the page you are on. From the framework of my css it should work fine, so I must be missing something in my .css file declaring these divs. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this will be a great learning experience for me.
