• Missing fields in editform for SharePoint document library

  I have a document library, where one of the columns does not show up in the edit and new form. How do I get back in the forms, so that the users can edit (and create) items including this column/field. The field is perfectly visible in "datasheet" mode where you can edit too but I would love to have the forms back in order :o)

  I installed Windows 7 with the QWERTY keyboard layout, but have recently started using DVORAK layout so I changed it from Control Panel - Regional and Language Settings and it set DVORAK to default keyboard layout. Recently I added a password to log into the administrator account, the problem is that this password field is set to the QWERTY keyboard layout. When I log into Windows the keyboard layout switches back to DVORAK. How can I set the password field on the log in screen to use the DVORAK layout

• Where to find ServerName in a PHP Script

  I'm looking to retrieve the ServerName field located in /etc/apache2/apache2.conf. My only issue is then calling it in PHP (echo $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'];) it gives me not the server name but the ip address. If I pull a phpinfo(); I can the server name under the Hostname:Port field under the apache2handler, so I know it's accessible somehow.

• Same password for apache and samba with ldap?

  Hi, I am experimenting with LDAP. As I see it, apache uses the Unix password field to get the credentials and samba the field that is specific for samba. I just use the LDAP server for a single server, LDAP runs in the same server. What I wanted is to use the same password for apache and samba (and mediawiki etc). Is it possible? If not, are there any alternatives? Thanks!

• How do I troubleshoot an IPsec tunnel (from a cellular router to a public server)?

  I'm new to IPsec and struggling with a setup that might soon be widely used in our operations (provided I do understand it, eventually...). A cellular router (blackbox by netModule, from its log messages it seems to be running Linux and OpenSwan) connects a sensor network on customers' sites with our public server. We need to be able to connect into the local network, so I had the cell provider give me a public IP (a dynamic one). The way their setup works, the public IPs only allow IPsec traffic. I set up OpenSwan on our Ubuntu server (running Jaunty). This is my connection config from /etc/ipsec.conf: conn gprs-field-devices left=my.pub.lic.ip [email protected] #leftsubnet=192.168.1.129/25 right=%any [email protected] #rightsubnet=192.168.1.1/25 #rightnexthop=%defaultroute auto=add On the router, all I have is the Web UI, in which I made the following settings: "Remote endpoint": public IP of server, same as "left" above "Local Network Address": 192.168.1.1 "Local Network Mask": 255.255.255.128 "Remote Network Address": 192.168.1.129 "Remote Network Mask": 255.255.255.128 The pluto process on the server is listening for connections on port 500. It can't open a tunnel, obviously, because it doesn't know at which IP the client is. I set up a passphrase as PSK for @field.econemon.com in /etc/ipsec.secrets and also configured it in the router (which doesn't seem to support certificates). My problem is, nothing happens. The router just says, IPsec is "down". When I copy-paste the IP into ipsec.conf (for "right="), and ask the server to ipsec auto --up gprs-field-devices, it just hangs until I press Ctrl-C. Is there anything wrong with my setup? How can I debug this further? • Fix single entry from mbr

  I use EasyBCD to manage my tripleboot of (1) Windows Server 2008 R2, (2) Windows 7 Professional and (3) Ubuntu Linux. While trying to change the order of my boot menu I ended up losing the Windows Server entry. Luckily I had a boot menu backup (.bcd file) that allowed me to restore my boot menu using EasyBCD. However, when I now select the Windows Server option in my boot menu the Windows Server Recovery Environment starts up. So I have to select language/keyboard layout/etc. and then I have 3 options as shown in the image below. . My goal is to fix the one corrupted Windows Server entry from my boot menu without messing up or losing the two other ones. I'm guessing the Recovery Console (Command Prompt) is the next step and that I will be needing bootrec.exe. But when consulting this page: Use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows Recovery Environment to troubleshoot and repair startup issues in Windows (about half way down there's a link that shows the bootrec.exe options) I'm getting uncertain. The page lists 4 options for bootrec.exe : /FixMbr /FixBoot /ScanOs /RebuildBcd What option do I need to fix just the server entry of my boot menu? Thanks in advance, Sander P.S. All three OS's are on the same physical disk (3 different partitions).   totally new to jquery and datatable. I would like to add an edit button that call forth a colorbox div that displays all the editable field. can anyone point me in the right direction on how this can be achieved? I was able to add a sClass to each field and use fnDrawCallback callback to call colorbox from field. But this is kind of messy and I rather just have a button at the end of each row for edit purpose. thanks very much for any pointers.

• why are read only form fields in django a bad idea?

  I've been looking for a way to create a read-only form field and every article I've found on the subject comes with a statement that "this is a bad idea". Now for an individual form, I can understand that there are other ways to solve the problem, but using a read only form field in a modelformset seems like a completely natural idea. Consider a teacher grade book application where the teacher would like to be able to enter all the students' (note the plural students) grades with a single SUBMIT. A modelformset could iterate over all the student-grades in such a way that the student name is read-only and the grade is the editable field. I like the power and convenience of the error checking and error reporting you get with a modelformset but leaving the student name editable in such a formset is crazy. Since the expert django consensus is that read-only form fields are a bad idea, I was wondering what the standard django best practice is for the example student-grade example above?

• Rails: savage_beast forum plugin and tinymce - new post works but edit doesn't use tinymce properly

  Hi all. I'm using the savage_beast forum plugin and tinymce (via the tinymce_hammer plugin) in my rails app. When posting a new post, tinymce works fine. However, when i go to edit a post i get the tinymce editor, but the content in the edit box has all been converted into html. Can anyone tell me how i get it so that what appears in the tinymce edit box is the original text i posted, rather than the converted-to-html version? Does it need to get converted back from html into a format tinymce will use? Savage_beast saves the original given text in a body field, and the converted-to-html text in a body_html field. After tinymce does its work in the first instance (ie when posting a new post) the body field gets text that's already been converted to html. So i guess i need to convert it back to whatever tinymce expects? I'd expect tinymce to be happy with getting html, and to just handle it, though. grateful for any advice - max

• Unique Keys not recognized by Entity Framework

  I have two tables, Reports and Visualizations. Reports has a field, VisualizationID, which points to Visualization's field of the same name via a foreign key. It also has a unique key declared on the field. VisualizationID is not nullable. This means the relationship has to be 0..1 to 1, because every Reports record must have a unique, not null Visualizations record associated with it. The Entity Framework doesn't see it this way. I'm getting the following error: Error 113: Multiplicity is not valid in Role 'Report' in relationship 'FK_Reports_Visualizations'. Because the Dependent Role properties are not the key properties, the upper bound of the multiplicity of the Dependent Role must be *. What's the problem here? How can I make the EF recognize the proper relationship multiplicity?

• ASP.NET MVC model binding foreign key relationship

  Is it possible to bind a foreign key relationship on my model to a form input? Say I have a one-to-many relationship between Car and Manufacturer. I want to have a form for updating Car that includes a select input for setting Manufacturer. I was hoping to be able to do this using the built-in model binding, but I'm starting to think I'll have to do it myself. My action method signature looks like this: public JsonResult Save(int id, [Bind(Include="Name, Description, Manufacturer")]Car car) The form posts the values Name, Description and Manufacturer, where Manufacturer is a primary key of type int. Name and Description get set properly, but not Manufacturer, which makes sense since the model binder has no idea what the PK field is. Does that mean I would have to write a custom IModelBinder that it aware of this? I'm not sure how that would work since my data access repositories are loaded through an IoC container on each Controller constructor.
