• Silverlight DataGrid refresh problem

  Hi, I have encountered a problem when I refresh the observable collection behind my Silverlight DataGrid (the DataGrid binds to a PagedCollectionView with an ObservableCollection as source). When I clear the observable collection and add the new items to the collection the DataGrid repositions to the top. I want the DataGrid to keep the scroll position. This seems to somewhat happen if I remove the items in the collection one-by-one with the RemoveAt mehtod and the add the new items one-by-one. But why is there this difference between removing all the items at once with the Clear method and removing the items one-by-one with the RemoveAt method? Best Regards, Jesper

  Here's a math/geometry problem for the math whizzes (not my strongest subject). This is for WPF, but should be general enough to solve regardless: I have two embedded Border elements, with the outer one having a certain corner radius, R and border thickness, T. Given these two values, what should the corner radius of the inner Border, R' be set to such that the two corner edges meet with no overlap or holes? So far I've just been eyeballing it, but if someone can give me a proper formula that would be great. Respect points if you can!! ;)

  I have dnn 5.2 running on my machine, and installed the blog module, the blog module is also reflected in the development environment i have. But i want to find out, how do i actually develope, or build the blog from source, so i can actually output the .dll file, instead of just running it. If i import the Blog project file from the folder, it will give me a host of error like .resx file not found and so on. Does any dotnetnuke expert out there know about this?And have encountered the problem before? If not, how do you actually make the module work so u can make changes to the module. Im talking about core logic change, like adding functions, not just skin or UI changes.

  As part of trying out django CMS (http://www.django-cms.org/), I'm struggling with getting Python-MySQLdb to work (http://pypi.python.org/pypi/MySQL-python/). I have installed Django CMS and all of its dependencies (Python 2.5, Django, django-south, MySQL server) I'm trying out the example code within Django CMS code with MySQL as chosen database type When I execute python manage.py syncdb, the following error occurs: django.core.exceptions.ImproperlyConfigured: Error loading MySQLdb module: /root/.python-eggs/MySQL_python-1.2.3c1-py2.5-linux-i686.egg-tmp/_mysql.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32 I have been able to trace the problem specifically to python-mySQLdb (as also visible in the stack trace). Other than that, I am completely puzzled. I don't have a clue what ELFCLASS32 means, or what ELF class is anyway. I suspect that this error could have something to do with the fact that I am running 64-bit version of Debian 5 (on a VPS). Any good ideas how to troubleshoot?

• Linked servers SQLNCLI problem. "No transaction is active"

  Im trying to execute a stored procedure and simply insert its results in a temporary table, and I'm getting the following message: The operation could not be performed because OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server "MyServerName" was unable to begin a distributed transaction. OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server "MyServerName" returned message "No transaction is active.". My query looks like this: INSERT INTO #TABLE EXEC MyServerName.MyDatabase.dbo.MyStoredProcedure Param1, Param2, Param3 Exact column number, names, the problem is not the result. MSDTC is allowed and started in both computers, Remote procedure calling too. The machines are not in the same domain, but I can execute remote queries from my machine and get the result. I can even execute the stored procedure and see its results, I just can't insert it in another table. Help, please? :)

• UITableView section header and section footer not updating (redraw problem)

  I have a UITableView grouped style with custom header and footer view. Inside the footer I put a UILabel and a UIButton. Clicking on the button hides or show some rows, updates the UILabel in the footer view and finally resizes footer view. Basically everything is working fine. BUT the text ion the label is not updated on the screen. It is updated in the UILabel text property, but only if I scroll the section footer out of the visible area and scroll it back, it is updated. So it's a typical redraw problem here of the UITableView. I tried every method to force update like needsLayout etc. Nothing helped. I have seen some related questions but with some different behaviour and no solution. Any help/ideas? Thanks, Gerd

• Page.ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptBlock problem in chrome, not registering

  Hello! I am using Page.ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptBlock to register a variable that tells the site to show something for the user (Don't need to get in to what is show). I am going to try to use RegisterStartupScript instead and see if i get any other result, i will get back on that. In my site i use jquery to look for that variable and do something if it exists. This works very well in IE 6,7,8 & FF but not in Chrome. In Chrome it works sometimes but most of the time it does not work, the variable does not get inserted on the page. The variable is beeing inserted in the Page_PreRender. Someone that has got a workaround for this or have experienced the same problem? Thanks

Now the problem for me is, some of the components will be added according to the selection in my dropdown list box. Those components that are newly populated also contains some read only text boxes.   I've a listview like this ListView: ————----- Mango Orange Grapes Grapes Grapes Apple Strawberry Whenever i navigate using downarrow, the BlueHighlight pauses at the first Grapes, a dotted rectangle start from second grapes and pauses at the third grapes, then the BlueHighlight resumes from Apple. This seems weird and it grows more weird when the navigation is upwards. It jumps from Apple to Orange or mango. Is this due to Virtualization? It seems only the duplicate data (grapes) is creating the problem. Any Help?

  I have a SQL Server 2008, which is part of a domain. Now I make a backup of a database of this server and restore it on a SQL Server, which is not part of a domain. I have an C# application, which uses this database. On the NON-Domain machine I get now exceptions like this: "Cannot execute as the database prinzipal because the principial "dbo" does not exist, this type of principal cannot be impersonatedm or you don not have the permission" I think, the problem is, that the database owner is a domain user and this user doesn't exist on the target machine (backup machine)!? How can I solve this ?

For example, the row was just created, the default for the Decimal column was not available, and the consumer had not yet set a new Decimal value. Here is the code.   In converting this CONSOLE example to a full windows dialog implementation I have run into a very "simple problem". The handle I use is the wParam value from the Skype Reply message, as in the code. This is non zero, but I am not sure if there is a way to test it other than with SendMessage. The compiled app from this C++ code example (see zip download) does actually work so I am stumped. I do encode the message with UTF8, and I create an instance of the COPYDATASTRUCT in my app, populate it then call SendMessage() with the COPYDATASTRUCT pointer in lparam. Skype does not respond nor does it obey. Am I missing something obvious here?

• Problem with animating the deletion of table rows in jQuery

  Hey guys, I have written some jQuery code to use the "slideUp" animation when deleting rows from a table. In order for the animation to appear smooth, I wrapped the contents of each TD in the row with DIV tags, and called the slideUp function on the DIVs, removing the actual TDs upon completion of the animation. The code for that is as follows: $("tr[id$=" + rowID + "]").children("td").each(function() { $(this).children("div").slideUp(function() { $(this).parent().remove(); }); }); So far, so good. However, I noticed that this code does not remove the actual TR, only its contents, so I added the following line to remove the TR: $("tr[id$=" + rowID + "]").remove(); The problem is that after I added the line above, the animation quit working. In other words, the row simply disappears without the nice sliding effect. Does anybody know why this is so and how to get around it? Thanks in advance for your insights! Victor

I've an instance of a MediaPlayer and I can play songs, but if I set the volume properties to 0 or to other values the volume doesn't change and the song plays at the maximum. If I set the mute properties to true it's the same thing!!! I think that the setting of volume and mute properties doesn't work! Have you found this problem? Do you know which is the solution?   I'm having a problem with the MinGW implementation of GCJ. I read that you have to install libiconv before you can use it. However, the documentation wasn't very specific, and it did not say where to extract the binaries and developer files (libiconv-bin and libiconv-lib).
