  • Plot numpy datetime64 with matplotlib

    - by enedene
I have two numpy arrays 1D, one is time of measurement in datetime64 format, for example: array([2011-11-15 01:08:11, 2011-11-16 02:08:04, ..., 2012-07-07 11:08:00], dtype=datetime64[us]) and other array of same length and dimension with integer data. I'd like to make a plot in matplotlib time vs data. If I put the data directly, this is what I get: plot(timeSeries, data) Is there a way to get time in more natural units? For example in this case months/year would be fine.

  • DateTimePicker automatically move to next datepart

    - by Leon Tayson
Currently, when using the datetimepicker, after you enter the month you have to either hit the right arrow or the "/" for it to move to the day. Is there a property that I can set or a way to know that the month is done and move to the day and move to the year after the user is done with the day? This is the same behavior with applications written in the old FoxPro/Clipper days.

  • Linq 2 Sql DateTime format to string yyyy-MM-dd

    - by Bogdan Maxim
Basically, i need the equivalent of T-SQL CONVERT(NVARCHAR(10), datevalue, 126) I've tried: from t in ctx.table select t.Date.ToString("yyyy-MM-dd") but it throws not supported exception from t in ctx.table select "" + t.Date.Year + "-" + t.Date.Month + "-" + t.Date.Day but i don't think it's an usable solution, because i might need to be able to change the format. The only option I see is to use Convert.ToString(t.Date, FormatProvider), but i need a format provider, and I'm not sure it works either.

  • Disable Days in Jquery FullCalendar

    - by user297561
I'm using FullCalendar as a large date picker with added features, and need to disable all Sundays and various other days throughout the year. Jquery UI date picker allows you to create methods for disabling dates. Is there a similar setup for FullCalendar?

This is what I did from what ever I learnt.. In my view <% @hello.each do |key, value| %> <li><%=h "#{key.to_s} : #{value.to_s}" %></li> <% end %> This will get the entire thing converted to a list... It works awesome if its just one key.. but how to work with multiple keys and show only the information... something like when it outputs hometown : City, State rather than something like hometown : {"id"=>"115200305133358163", "name"=>"City, State"} Also for education if I just say education[school][name] to display list of schools attended? The error i get is can't convert String into Integer I also tried to do this in my controller, but I get the same error.. @fav_teams = @hello["favorite_teams"]["name"] Also, how can I save all these to the database.. something like just the list of all schools.. not their id no's? Update: The way I plan to save to my database is.. lets say for a user model, i want to save to database as :facebook_id, :facebook_name, :facebook_firstname, ...., :facebook_hometown .. here I only want to save name... when it comes to education.. I want to save.. school, concentration and type.. I have no idea on how to achieve this.. Looking forward for help! thanks!

  • How to speedup perforce auto resolve?

    - by Sorin Sbarnea
I would like to know how to speedup the perforce auto resolve when doing integration (merge yours and theirs if no conflicts exists). Currently is taking hours for ~5000 files when running it using a proxy server even if the proxy server has the files pre-cached. Also p4v interface doesn't give you any hint regarding the progress of the task, you do not know if it will finish in a second or next year.

  • Javascript For-Each Loop Syntax Help

    - by radrew
    Hey guys, I've got a complex block of PHP/Javascript that isn't functioning. I'm trying to manipulate a form that contains 4 dropdown select lists. Each dropdown is dependent upon what was selected in the one above it. I apologize for the huge amount of code, but I was hoping someone might be able to spot a syntax error or something else simple that I'm missing. The form in question is located in the right sidebar of the following site: http://www.buyautocovers.com $Manufacturer_array[] = array('id' => 'all', 'text' => $this->__('Choose Make')); $Model_array[] = array('id' = 'all', 'text' = $this-('Choose Model')); $Number_array[] = array('id' = 'all', 'text' = $this-('Choose Year')); $Body_array[] = array('id' = 'all', 'text' = $this-__('Choose Body Type')); $javascript = ' // var a = new Array(); var b = new Array(); var c = new Array(); var d = new Array();'; $M_a = array(); foreach ($rows as $r) { if (!isset($M_a [$r['manufacturer']])) $Manufacturer_array[] = array('id' = $r['manufacturer'], 'text' = $r['manufacturer']); $M_a [$r['manufacturer']][$r['model']][$r['number']][$r['body']] = 1; } $i = 0; foreach ($M_a as $k =$v){ $javascript .= 'a['.$i.']="'.$k.'";b['.$i.'];c['.$i.'];=new Array('; $ii = 0; $s = ''; foreach ($M_a[$k] as $kk =$vv){ $javascript .= ($ii != 0 ?   • Creating content of window programmatically

    - by Rui Pacheco
Hi, I've a window that will have an unknown amount of text fields, determined by the content of a remote server. In high level terms, how should I go about this? Create a custom view or create an empty window with a backing NSWindowController and then add stuff to it when the window is opened? I've seen the examples on the O'Reilly Cocoa book and those effectively create a custom NSView. Is this the right way to do it, 8 year later?

  • Stack overflow in compojure web project

    - by Anders Rune Jensen
Hi I've been playing around with clojure and have been using it to build a simple little audio player. The strange thing is that sometimes, maybe one out of twenty, when contacting the server I will get the following error: 2010-04-20 15:33:20.963::WARN: Error for /control java.lang.StackOverflowError at clojure.lang.RT.seq(RT.java:440) at clojure.core$seq__4245.invoke(core.clj:105) at clojure.core$filter__5084$fn__5086.invoke(core.clj:1794) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.sval(LazySeq.java:42) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.seq(LazySeq.java:56) at clojure.lang.RT.seq(RT.java:440) at clojure.core$seq__4245.invoke(core.clj:105) at clojure.core$filter__5084$fn__5086.invoke(core.clj:1794) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.sval(LazySeq.java:42) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.seq(LazySeq.java:56) at clojure.lang.RT.seq(RT.java:440) at clojure.core$seq__4245.invoke(core.clj:105) at clojure.core$filter__5084$fn__5086.invoke(core.clj:1794) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.sval(LazySeq.java:42) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.seq(LazySeq.java:56) at clojure.lang.RT.seq(RT.java:440) at clojure.core$seq__4245.invoke(core.clj:105) at clojure.core$filter__5084$fn__5086.invoke(core.clj:1794) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.sval(LazySeq.java:42) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.seq(LazySeq.java:56) at clojure.lang.RT.seq(RT.java:440) ... If I do it right after again it always works. So it appears to be related to timing or something. The code in question is: (defn add-track [t] (common/ref-add tracks t)) (defn add-collection [coll] (doseq [track coll] (add-track track))) and (defn ref-add [ref value] (dosync (ref-set ref (conj @ref value)))) where coll is extracted from this function: (defn tracks-by-album [album] (sort sort-tracks (filter #(= (:album %) album) @tracks))) which uses: (defn get-album-from-track [track] (seq/find-first #(= (:album track) (:name %)) @albums)) (defn sort-tracks [track1 track2] (cond (= (:album track1) (:album track2)) (cond (and (:album-track track1) (:album-track track2)) (< (:album-track track1) (:album-track track2)) :else 0) :else (> (:year (get-album-from-track track1)) (:year (get-album-from-track track2))))) it gets called more or less directly from the request I get in: (when-handle-command cmd params (audio/tracks-by-album decoded-name)) (defn when-handle-command [cmd params data] (println (str "handling command:" cmd)) ....) I never get the handling command in my log, so it must die when it does the tracks-by-album. so it does appear to be the tracks-by-album function from the stack trace. I just don't see why it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I say that it's tracks-by-album because it's the only function (including it's children) that does filter, as can be seen in the trace. All the source code is available at: http://code.google.com/p/mucomp/. It's my little hobby project to learn clojure and so far it's quite buggy (this is just one bug :)) so I havn't really liked to tell too many people about it yet :)

  • lubridate error message 'incompatible method's when trying date arithmetic

I'm trying to learn lubridate. The lubridate documentation shows: date <- ceiling_date(date, "month") - days(1) [1] "2010-05-31 UTC for date arithmetic. But if I try mytoday <- now() first_of_month <- floor_date(mytoday, "month") first_of_month_last_year <- first_of_month - years(1) to use date arithmetic to get the first of the month a year earlier I get an error message Warning message: Incompatible methods ("-.POSIXt", "Ops.ordered") for "-" Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

  • Accessibility and usability issues when designing websites for older computer users

    - by Vafello
As a part of my final year university project I am designing a social networking website targeted mainly to older users. I was wondering what accessibility and usability issues should be taken into account when creating a website for such users, apart from obvious ones - such as bigger font, compatibility with current standards, straight-forward interface. Or maybe an older user is just the same as an average user and no special design is needed? Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Has anyone had any particularly good success with or failures using either of those frameworks?

  • Best Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) database model

What is the best database schema to track role-based access controls for a web application? I am using Rails, but the RBAC plugin linked by Google looks unmaintained (only 300 commits to SVN; latest was almost a year ago). The concept is simple enough to implement from scratch, yet complex and important enough that it's worth getting right. So how do others architect and implement their RBAC model?
