    Is there an open-source alternative to MATLAB's fmincon function for constrained linear optimization? I'm rewriting a MATLAB program to use Python / NumPy / SciPy and this is the only function I haven't found an equivalent to. A NumPy-based solution would be ideal, but any language will do.

  • Unable to open database SQLITE iPhone

    Hi there, I am using SQLITE database in my iPhone app. I have a refresh button on my home screen and on click of that refresh button I usually fetch the data from my web service and store it into my database. In normal scenario it works fine but when I click my refresh button 4-5 times frequently my app crashes and My app log Shows "Unable to open the database" I am not sure why I am getting this SQLLITE error. Is there any restriction on inserting number of rows in SQLITE database?

    I am new to flash. Does anyone know if the swf files which are sold in istockphoto are open source. I want to purchase this flash piano but i would have to change some of its functionality so I need to make sure it's possible before i purchase. For instance I need it to play a sound on hover not on mouse press. And I'd like it to play my own piano sound samples rather than the ones it comes with. Thanks

    i don't understand this at all. I try to open a db located in my SD card this way: db = SQLiteDatabase.openDatabase(myPath, null, SQLiteDatabase.NO_LOCALIZED_COLLATORS | SQLiteDatabase.OPEN_READONLY); But in that very line it throws this exception: android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException: attempt to write a readonly database It doesen't happen in my other devices, just this one that has android 2.3.3

    Hi all, I have been working around in UIImagePickerController and am struck with a problem where I need to get the precise moment when the camera shutter opens in UIImagePickerController when the source type is set to camera (UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypeCamera). I have done some googling around and have realized that no one had such strange requirement! I looked around the docs of UIImagePickerController and UIImagePickerControllerDelegate hoping to get some delegate method / callback indicating the camera shutter open event, but did not find any.     I am using CPLEX for solving huge optimization models (more than 100k variables) now I'd like to see if I can find an open source alternative, I solve mixed integer problems (MILP) and CPLEX works great but it is very expensive if we want to scale so I really need to find an alternative or start writing our own ad-hoc optimization library (which will be painful) Any suggestion/insight would be much appreciated

I am receiving the following error. 1>c:\users\numerical25\desktop\intro todirectx\introtodirectx\chapter 4\init direct3d\init direct3d.cpp(9) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'd3dApp.h': No such file or directory But clearly from the image shown below, its there In oppose to other people who are having issues finding the header on the physical drive. the compiler can not find my header from within the solution explorer.

    Using Flex Builder : I have created a new Actionscript Project. I want to use mx.controls.Button class in it, so I did the following : Added '-locale=en_US -source-path=locale/{locale}' to the Actionscript compiler arguments Added 'framework.swc' to the library path But now I get this error: unable to open 'locale/en_US' I looked up and I do have the following directory inside my Flex Builder 3 installation: ./sdks/3.0.0/frameworks/locale/en_US How to fix it?
