  • Cant fetch production db results using Google app engine remote_api

    Hey, im trying to work out with /remote_api with a django-patch app engine app i got running. i want to select a few rows from my online production app locally. i cant seem to manage todo so, everything authenticates fine, it doesnt breaks on imports, but when i try to fetch something it just doesnt print anything.   • Minimal files to run a fully-functional PostgreSQL in Windows

    I would like to bundle PostgreSQL into my application. I downloaded the PostgreSQL 9 beta zip without the installer. After extraction, there are 8 directories. I found out that at least the following directories are required to run PostgreSQL properly, at least under my experiments. bin lib share The question is, are the above three directories really sufficient to run a fullly functional PostgreSQL? Do I need the 'include' and 'symbols' directories? Also, can I remove 'share\locale' if I don't use these locales?

  • Could not launch console app with xCode 4.4

    I have a project with two targets -- an iOS app and an OSX console app. The latter was created using Xcode File-New Target and selecting "Command Line Tool". This console app is used to prep a default database needed by the iOS app -- using CoreData. This has been working fine until I upgraded to Mountain Lion and xCode 4.4. Now when I try to run the command line tool I get a "Could Not Launch -- permission denied" error. I have tried playing around with signing certificates, to no avail. Interestingly if I create a new "hello, world" command line tool in a new project it works just fine -- and it is not signed at all. I checked the file and it has -rwxr-xr-x permission. In the debugger the app fails on startup even before it tries to access the moms. If I try to run this outside of the debugger at the command line, it ends with a kill 9 message. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  • Problem running VBScript from my UIAccess VB app using MSScriptControl

    I'm trying to run some VBSCRIPT from within my application. This works fine when I run my program from within VB. But once I add "UIAccess=true" to my manifest and digitally sign my exe with my certificate, I am unable to run the code any more. It gives errors when I try to interface with any program saying "429: ActiveX component can't create object: 'myApp.Application'". Anyone have any idea why it would run fine in the IDE but not with an application with uses UIAccess?   • TeamCity build triggers don't automatically run

    I've been playing around with and learning a bit about TeamCity and have the server correctly set up with my .Net MVC project committed in Subversion successfully and build configurations and triggers sorted to kick off when any changes are committed to the repository. TeamCity polls on its default time period and is picking up that changes have been committed, but it is adding these to the queue without actually ever running them. I have to manually click the "Run" button to kick them off. What setting do I need to change in order to ensure that any new changes are automatically run?

I have also given permission to my app in the manifest.xml <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE"/> When I try to access this folder my app crashes as the folder is not present.

    I have a ruby script that needs to run about 1 time a second. What I am doing is using a ruby script to keep track of modifications of files in a directory. I want the script to run once a second so that the modifications are updated in "live" time. Basically, I want my script to do the same kind of thing as running "top" on a unix shell. Where the screen is updated every second or so. Is there an equivalent to setInterval in ruby like there is in javascript? Thanks

  • Customize iphone app for different clients

    I have an existing app that needs to be compiled for different clients Each client requires their own icon and splash screen. I would also like to be able to conditionally include various features depending whether the particular client requires them or not. I have tried setting up different targets for each client, but not having much luck so far. The different resources with the same name, but a different path keep getting mixed up. Ideally I would like to be able to build an app by duplicating another client that is similar and then just make the minimum number of changes to create the app for the new client. What is the best way to set this app up?

I have two questions on In App Purchase. iAP application process: do I need to submit my iAP items applications, wait for Apple's responses, then build my app accordingly, or, I can just create some iAP items, build them into my app, then after everything's done, submit my binary to Apple? Intermediary currency: on Apple's documentation I found these sentences: "You may not offer items that represent intermediary currency because it is important that users know the specific good or service that they are buying."   • redirect web app results to own application

    Is it possible to redirect a web apps results to a second application? I cannot parse the html source. It contains the javascript functions that execute the queries but all the content is probably server side. I hope this makes sense. The owner has made the script available but I am not sure how this helps. Can I using .net call the site and redirect results perhaps to a file or database? the app accesses one of googles apis and performs searches/queries and returns results which are displayed on the site. Now all the javascript functions that perform these queries are listed in the source but I do not know javascript so it does not make much sense to me. I have used the documentation which uses the oauth protocol to access the api and have implemented that in my web app but it took me nearly a week to get the request token right and now to send requests to the api, sometimes I get one result back and sometimes none. It is frustrating me and the owner of the web app has given use of his script but he says all that happens is that my browser interacts with the google api and not his server. So I thought why not have my web app call his, since his interacts with the API flawlessly and have the results sent to my app to save in a database. I have very little experience here so pardon my ignorance

    Hy! I have my project with pydev and looks like this: ProjectName -src -gaesessions -geo -static_files -app is this ok? I really don't like to have the gaesessions and geo in my root, but their namespace are by root. I would like to have a structure like this: ProjectName -src -python -thirdParty -gaesessions -geo -app -static_files is this possible? or even better would be to make them as a library. this would be the best thing, but how to do this in eclipse and then when deploy my app, to deploy with those files too? thanks

  • Can you use POST to run a query in Solr (/select)

    I have queries that I am running against out solr index that sometimes have very long query parameters, I get errors when i run these queries, which i assume are do to the limit of a GET query parameters. Here is the method I use to query (JSON), this is to show I am using the Http Extensions (the client i use is a thin wrapper for HttpClient) not an end to end solution. 90% of the queries run fine, it is just when the params are large i get the 500 error from solr. I have read somewhere you can use POSt's when doing the select command but have not found examples of how to do it.     In VB6, users occasionally receive this error and I am unable to reproduce it. Run-Time Error '5': Invalid Procedure Call or Argument I am referencing the "MSWord 10 Object Library" and sometimes this error occurs at some point after the application has opened MSWord 2002. However, this app has referenced the MSWord 10 Object Library for years, and this error just started occurring in the last few months. I am assuming I have introduced a bug somewhere, but no idea what might be causing it. The error does not occur very often and cannot be reproduced by a user when I am standing there. The error forces the app to totally shut down. Users are running Windows XP

    I'm not really understanding the interaction/differences between settings and config files. If I add an entry to the settings file, it gets added to the app.config as well. Does this mean that changing the value in the app.config will update the settings? If not, how do I update settings in a live application? What's the general purpose of using a settings file instead of putting things directly in app.config?
