  • Facebook API: Set User Status with "@mentions" integration

    - by JWD
StackOverflow'ers, I realize the new "@mentions" is a very new feature to facebook, but can any of you think of how to access this feature using the Facebook API? I would assume there would need to be a separate call to get a list of available users/applications/ect... I am just brainstorming here, I realize this may not be possible yet. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

  • Maintain set of local commits working with git-svn

    - by benizi
I am using git to develop against a project hosted in subversion, using git-svn: git svn clone svn://project/ My general workflow has been to repeatedly edit-and-commit on the master branch, then commit to the svn repository via: git stash git svn dcommit git stash apply One of the local modifications that 'stash' command is preserving, that I don't want to commit to the svn repository, is a changed database connection string. What's the most convenient way to keep this local change without the extra 'stash' steps? I suspect that something like 'stash' or 'quilt' is what I'm looking for, but I'm still new enough to git that I think I'm missing some terminology that would lead to the exact incantation. Update: The only solution I found that seems to avoid the git stash + git-svn action + git stash apply series was to update the git-svn ref manually: (check in local-only change to 'master', then...) $ cat .git/refs/master > .git/refs/remote/git-svn $ git svn fetch (with at least one new SVN revision) And that leaves the local-only commit as a weird (probably unsafe) commit between two svn revisions.

    - by w1z
Guys, help me... I use jni4net in my WCF service. in the ctor of the service I try to create BridgeSetup object. var bridgeSetup = new BridgeSetup(false); bridgeSetup.AddAllJarsClassPath("."); Bridge.CreateJVM(bridgeSetup); As I understand in this moment jni4ne tryes to generate jni4net.j-0.7.1.0.dll from jni4net.j-0.7.1.0.jar. It tryes to find jni4net.j-0.7.1.0.jar near the jni4net.n-0.7.1.0.dll and can't. So I get next error... c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\fileprocessingservice\76f0fa69\5db44426\assembly\dl3\4fa263c6\f424b7fa_c8ccca01\jni4net.j-0.7.1.0.DLL Anybody know how to solve the problem? • SubmitChanges doesn't save but removes inserts from change set, no errors

    - by winston schröder
Hi Everybody, I have a deeper question regarding debug functionality of Linq to Sql SubmitChanges() Function. I want to save a record in a table of a locally cached db (localdbcache: server SqlExpress 2008 client SqlCE). Before calling SubmitChanges I can find the new item via DataContext.GetChangeSet(). After calling Submit Changes, the items to insert have been removed from the ChangeSet. (That's what this function is supposed to do.) There are no Changes Conflicts and no error in the db's log output. No Exception at all. The table's Count stays at the same value. if ((e.Parameter == null) || (!e.Parameter.GetType().Equals(typeof(LibDB.Client.Vehicles)))) return; LibDB.Client.Vehicles tmp = e.Parameter as LibDB.Client.Vehicles; try { ChangeSet cs = this._dc.GetChangeSet(); if ((tmp == null) || (this._dc == null)) return; if (this._dc.Vehicles.Where(veh => veh.Vin == tmp.Vin).Count() == 0) this._dc.Vehicles.InsertOnSubmit(tmp); else if (this._dc.Vehicles.Where(veh => veh.Vin == tmp.Vin).Count() == 1) this._dc.Vehicles.Attach(tmp, true); else return; using (TransactionScope ts = new TransactionScope()) { try { this._dc.SubmitChanges(); //this._dc.Refresh(RefreshMode.OverwriteCurrentValues, this._dc.Vehicles); } catch (Exception ex) { Console.WriteLine(ex.Message); } } if (this._dc.Vehicles.Where(veh => veh.Vin == tmp.Vin).Count() == 1) MessageBox.Show("Vehicle not saved."); this.vehSelector.ResetLayout(); } I would appreciate any help since I'm loosing hope to find any error, Thanks in Advance Winston

  • How to set HTTP Headers from client class inherited from SoapHttpClientProtocol

    - by Alfred
I'm using a class MyClass inherited from SoapHttpClientProtocol (auto-generated in my project by creating a WebReference from a .wsdl file, representing a service). Before calling a "WebMethod" of this service, I need to custom the http header of my request. I tried overloading the GetWebRequest() method of SoapHttpClientProtocol that way : public partial class MyClass: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol{ protected override WebRequest GetWebRequest(Uri uri) { HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest)base.GetWebRequest(uri); request.Headers.Add("MyCustomHeader", "MyCustomHeaderValue"); return request; } } I was hoping that GetWebRequest was called in the constructor of MyClass, apparently it's not. Could someone help me ?

Here is what I have: My Database <SampleData:something xmlns:SampleData="clr-namespace:Expression.Blend.SampleData.MyDatabase" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"> <SampleData:something.mysystemCollection> <SampleData:mysystem ID="1" English="Menu" German="Menü" French="Menu" Spanish="Menú" Swedish="Meny" Italian="Menu" Dutch="Menu" /> </SampleData:something.mysystemCollection> </SampleData:something> My UserControl <UserControl xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" mc:Ignorable="d" x:Class="Something.MyUC" d:DesignWidth="1000" d:DesignHeight="600"> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" DataContext="{Binding Source={StaticResource MyDatabase}}"> <Grid Height="50" Margin="8,20,8,0" VerticalAlignment="Top" d:DataContext="{Binding mysystemCollection[1]}" x:Name="gTitle"> <TextBlock x:Name="Title" Text="{Binding English}" TextWrapping="Wrap" Foreground="#FF00A33D" TextAlignment="Center" FontSize="22"/> </Grid> </Grid> </UserControl> As you can see, I have 7 languages that I want to deal with. I have spent the better part of today trying to figure out how to change the binding in my code to swap this out when I needed (lets say when I change the language via drop down). Any help would be great!

  • Set focus on textbox after postback.

    - by Niike2
I have a search page with 3 TextBoxes that users can filter a search with. I have put the focus on the TextBox that contains text. If more than one contains text just focus on last TextBox. private void SetFocusOnTextBox(ControlCollection ctrlCollection) { foreach (Control ctrl in ctrlCollection) { if (ctrl.GetType() == typeof(TextBox)) { if (((TextBox)ctrl).Text != string.Empty) { SetFocus(ctrl); } } } } After the code runs and a user searches, the focus comes to the beginning of the TextBox, not the end where it would be presumed. How to put insert marked at the end of that TextBox?

  • how to set flex combobox cursor position

    - by crazy horse
I have a combobox implementation as follows - Based on user input (min 2 chars) in the editable combobox, the data provider is refreshed and drop-down opened, showing different data sets as user input varies. Problem is that after drop-down opens, the cursor moves back to the beginning. So for instance, the user types in "ab", and wants to type in "c" to form the search string "abc". Due to the cursor re-setting its position to 0, the search string instead ends up as "cab". Here's what I tried already (doesn't work) : textInput.mx_internal::getTextField().setSelection(index, index); where index = length of user input. This selects text from index to index (which effectively un-selects text) and is supposed to place the cursor at the end. Any thoughts?

  • How to set Content-Type header charset in OpenRasta

    - by Sergey Mirvoda
When I return my object as JSON via JsonDataContractCodec OpenRasta sets Content-Type header to application/json but ignores charset part of content type. When I use Chrome it sends GET request with folowing header: Accept-Charset:windows-1251,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.3 and all my utf-8 encoded json objects goes wrong. I tried to override OperationResult with no luck. OpenRasta overwrites my header with codec's one.
