  • Access to Apache::DBI from DBI

    Is it possible to access a Apache::DBI database handle from a perl script (that isn't running under mod_perl). What I am looking for is database pooling for my perl scripts, I have a fair number of database sources (oracle/mysql) and a growing number of scripts. Some ideas like SQLRelay, using Oracle10XE with database links and pooling, and or convert all scripts to SOAP calls, etc are becoming more and more viable. But if there was a mechanism for reusing Apache::DBI I could fight this a bit. I have no non-perl requirements, so we don't have a php/jdbc implementation or similar to deal with. Thanks

    Hello, I know that I could separate all statements by pre-cutting before their execution, but I have a case in which I would like to insert a series of statements in one execution, currently I receive the following error: Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: Syntax Error: Encountered ";" at line 2, column 33. at org.apache.derby.impl.jdbc.SQLExceptionFactory.getSQLException(Unknown Source) at org.apache.derby.impl.jdbc.SQLExceptionFactory40.wrapArgsForTransportAcrossDRDA(Unknown Source) ... 17 more Caused by: ERROR 42X01: Syntax Error: Encountered ";" at line 2, column 33. Also do you know also if Derby supports conditional statements like that in pgsql case when else? Thanks

    Hi, I'm trying to use JRuby in a custom application, and I don't seem to be able to load the JRubyEngine object. Or if there is a better way to be instantiating a JRubyEngine object.

  • jQuery cannot retrieve data from localhost

    I have a very simple bit of jQuery to retrieve my latest Tweet $.getJSON("http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/username.json?count=1", function(data) { $("#tweet_text").html(data[0].text); }); This works fine on a simple HTML file on my desktop. However, once the file is accessed from my localhost (apache) no data is being returned. I was wondering if any part of Apache was blocking the request somehow? Or any other ideas?

However, while testing the application I found out that its not possible to pause the downloads and resume them later on. Could someone help me? Is it an apache property I must change?

    I'd like to set some autorun task to Eclipse, or simply set the command with path, how to run my Apache while starting Eclipse. My point is, that I don't want webserver (Apache) to be running after OS start, because it's useless load for my laptop. I usually want webserver use when I start Eclipse, so I think there could be an option, when can I do that to save my OS load and my time. How can I set this?

  • I am currently serving my static files in Django. How do I use Apache2 to do this?

    Regular expressions have always been my pet peeves. Every time I think that I finally got it I have a new problem ! I want to catch url like this : http://www.mydomain.com/boutique/blabla-1/bla-bla2/99/104 http://www.mydomain.com/boutique/blabla1/99 and eventually : http://www.mydomain.com/boutique/blabla-1/bla-bla2/product1/99/104/55/ after a lot of tries and errors I came up with this which seems to work with http://www.gskinner.com/RegExr/ but not in apache ^.*/boutique/([a-zA-Z-]*)(/?[a-zA-Z-]*)/?([0-9]*)/?([0-9]*)/?$ boutique.php?c1=$3&c2=$4 (I was only working with the first two url so far) MY apache rewrite log debug files are helpless : pass through /Users/iko/Sites/mysite/boutique.php I'm only interrested in getting the ids.     Hi! If I have one website and I want to rotate its logs, there's one instance of logrotate that is launched. There are as many logrotate instances launched as they are virtual websites. Here you can find mod_log_rotate, with a 1.3 version and (only) 2.0 version: http://www.hexten.net/wiki/index.php/Mod-log-rotate It's 6 years old. Is there something new, or maybe is there something like that in recent Apache versions?   • How can I get jcifs to play nicely with apache axis

    I need to connect Apache Axis 1.4 to a Webservice that uses NTLM authentication to restrict access to its operations. I'm expecting to use Samba Jcifs to handle the NTLM handshake. I found http://hc.apache.org/httpcomponents-client/ntlm.html which gives me fantastic directions for how to wire up HttpClient 4.0 with jcifs. Trouble is, Axis wants to use Http Client 3.0 and the two apis look very different. There are 2 possibilities that I can see Write an object for Axis that lets it plug into HttpClient 4. Figure out how to wire HttpClient 3.0 up with Samba Jcifs. Number 1. looks non-trivial, but possible Number 2. I cannot find any encouraging messages on the web describing how to do this. My question is: has anyone successfully connected samba jcifs with HttpClient 3.0 ? Has anyone already created an Axis HttpSender object that works with HttpClient 4 ? Is there some better alternative that I have not considered?

  • maven-ear-plugin works if jboss version is 4.2, but not 5. Why ?

Apparently log4j can already do this using a ZeroConfSocketHubAppender. Where might I be able to view the source for the java ZeroConfSocketHubAppender?   • Sun webstack vs Installing PHP, MySQL, Apache individually

    Is it possible to install PHP, MySQL, Apache individually on Solaris instead of installing them through a webstack? What are the advantages and disadvantages? I seem to frequently get a CURL error on Solaris when dealing with HTTPS sites. (error:81072080:lib(129):func(114):reason(128). I have no clue why that error is occuring and thought it might solve it, if I upgrade to latest PHP,MySQL,Apache versions. At this point I am not even sure if it's a Solaris issue. Any advice?
