    Do vendors need to provide sources, at the customer's request, for GPL licensed software installed on the hardware they sell? For example, a vendor sells an IPTV box and pre-installs some proprietary software product which is linked with some GPLed library. As a consequence, the software becomes GPLed itself. Does the vendor need to provide the source code for it? The vendor doesn't sell that software, he sells hardware.

  • MySQL Enterprise Monitor 3.0.11 has been released

    We are pleased to announce that MySQL Enterprise Monitor 3.0.11 is now available for download on the My Oracle Support (MOS) web site. It will also be available via the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud in about 1 week. This is a maintenance release that includes a few new features and fixes a number of bugs. You can find more information on the contents of this release in the change log. You will find binaries for the new release on My Oracle Support. Choose the "Patches & Updates" tab, and then choose the "Product or Family (Advanced Search)" side tab in the "Patch Search" portlet. You will also find the binaries on the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud in approximately 1 week. Choose "MySQL Database" as the Product Pack and you will find the Enterprise Monitor along with other MySQL products. Based on feedback from our customers, MySQL Enterprise Monitor (MEM) 3.0 offers many significant improvements over previous releases.     I want to build a web application for generating stylish PDF documents. The layout should be based on a design templates and the data should come dynamically from the database. Ideally I want to design the template in a "publishing like" tool with placeholders and replace these placeholders by the web application with the data from the database. Think of something like an invoice generator, where a customer could choose from different invoice templates and the invoice data itself coming from the DB. Thanks for your ideas!

The comment went something like, "wow, due to the explosive response to this issue, we're going to deal with it right away."   • VisualStudio 2010 plugin settings constantly get reset [migrated]

    I have VS2010 Ultimate on my dev machine, along with ReSharper, VSCommands2010 and few others. settings for vs2010, resharper, and other plugins get reset every once in a while - so i have to go in and set them up again, then restart VS for new settings to kick in. examples of settings i'm talking about: *resharper intellisense ingreation *resharper highlite current line *resharper participation in customer program (systray icon) *VSCommands2010 regex solution name *etc. is it possible to make VS remember all those settings once and forever.
