  • Keyboard Simulation not working with Keyboard hook for modifier keys

    I have a piece of software that is being used to simulate a certain device on a touchscreen, this device already runs an application that receives keyboard input from the device. My software (reffered to as simulator) displays a virtual keyboard and runs the application. Thus, the simulator sends keys with input simulator: http://inputsimulator.codeplex.com/ And the applciation listens to keys with the following keyboard hook: https://svn.cyberduck.io/tags/release-4-1/source/ch/cyberduck/core/GlobalKeyboardHook.cs My problem is, what some keys from the device's hardware actually do is to sent a key combination (ex: left-alt + 1) to the application and a weird scenario is occurring: The application listens to normal keyboard inputs The simulator sends keys to other applications (ie: visual studio responds to the keys sent when debugging) The simulator can send single keys to the application (I can type) The simulator CANNOT send key combinations to the application (alt+1 is received as just 1 in the application) This started happenning when we imported the application's dll into the same process from the simulator. Could there be any reason why I can't simulate key combinations for a hook in the same process? Is there any easy fix for this?

Why?? Does depend it of fields noumber ?? I have 2 constructors in my Job class one with no params, and one with all params for every field of class; I made debug with Log4j ...and in first case there arrives in Job constructor in the second not. Why??When it calls constructor??? When are called the setter and getter methodsb, before or after execute() method??? And when i have a form with input data??   • A function where small changes in input always result in large changes in output

    I would like an algorithm for a function that takes n integers and returns one integer. For small changes in the input, the resulting integer should vary greatly. Even though I've taken a number of courses in math, I have not used that knowledge very much and now I need some help... An important property of this function should be that if it is used with coordinate pairs as input and the result is plotted (as a grayscale value for example) on an image, any repeating patterns should only be visible if the image is very big. I have experimented with various algorithms for pseudo-random numbers with little success and finally it struck me that md5 almost meets my criteria, except that it is not for numbers (at least not from what I know). That resulted in something like this Python prototype (for n = 2, it could easily be changed to take a list of integers of course): import hashlib def uniqnum(x, y): return int(hashlib.md5(str(x) + ',' + str(y)).hexdigest()[-6:], 16) But obviously it feels wrong to go over strings when both input and output are integers. What would be a good replacement for this implementation (in pseudo-code, python, or whatever language)?

    My testers have discovered that if you type free text into a file upload input then none of the buttons on the page work until that text is removed (so the page cannot be submitted). I've seen solutions elsewhere which suggest hiding input and replacing it with a label / button combo, but this seems like it might cause more problems and work inconsistently across browsers.     Hello , I am new to GNU compiler. I have a C source code file which contains some structures and variables in which I need to place certain variables at a particular locations. So, I have written a linker script file and used the __ attribute__("SECTION") at variable declaration, in C source code. I am using a GNU compiler (cygwin) to compile the source code and creating a .hex file using -objcopy option, but I am not getting how to link my linker script file at compilation to relocate the variables accordingly. I am attaching the linker script file and the C source file for the reference. The question is: Is is possible to make a separation of these characters (to actually know that I only hit one key or key combination). What I would like is to have a function to return a single integer value for any type of input (letter, digit, F1-F12, DEl, PGUP, PGDOWN, CTRL+A, CTRL+ALT+A, ALT+LEFT, etc). Is this possible?   • Get to know what HTML-button is clicked with PHP, no Name of value available

    I have a wizard with 4 steps and in one of the steps, you can add items. By default, there are 3 time 5 empty input-fields listed. When you click a button, there have to be added some more. The 3 times 5 fields are added by a loop. How can I determine where I have to add some fields (in the first 5 field of the second or the third). I can't use another name for every button, because sometimes there can be more then 3 groups of 5 fields. In my code (PHP), I use the name of the button to know what happened in the form, so the name can't be different for the button in every group ... Further, the whole step is 1 form, so the post can't go to another script ... The value of the button has to be the same for every group. I've been thinking on possible solutions and these came up: On click a javascript adds a value to the post (in a hidden field?) But is this posted with the form? Could it be possible to get the ID of the clicked button? This might be different :-) I need a refresh after the click, so pure javascript isn't a solution either ... It is a very specific question, but I hope someone can give me some direction.   • Custom iPad 10-key popover possible.

    Hello everyone, and thanks for your responses in advance. I have been looking around for the possibility of having a 10-key, numeric only, input available when a user clicks on certain fields that do not require the use of the full size keyboard. I know that popovers can properly display custom types of input, but does anyone know if there is a way for a standard 10-keypad to display in a popover?   • Optimal UI For Single Zip Code Entry on iPhone

    I need to prompt the user to enter his/her zip code at certain times in my iPhone application. I cannot store it or get it from the user's current location. What is the optimal input method? I started with a 5 wheel picker. This seemed like a bad direction, so I opted for a PIN-like entry screen. My implepentation is about the same as the 'enter passcode' screen you see when unlocking the iphone - including automatically ending input on the 5th digit instead of providing a return/enter button. Does this seem optimal? Or is there a better way? Note: I only need to accept a 5 digit US zip code.

  • Wmode transparent and symbols issue with foreign keyboard

    Hello, I have the known issue with wmode transparent and input textfield in my page. I know that the question is often asked but I have a special situation with that case. I need to embed my swf with wmode=transparent but in my swf I have an input textfield and the bug with "@" or "." symbols exists. I have a french keyboard and I decided to overcome this problem with a string replacement with the FirefoxWmodeFix class from Manmaru (see the link below). http://www.manmaru.fr/mlab/?p=95 It works for my keyboard but I need that "trick" with EN/DE/IT keyboard. Could anyone help me with the right combination of keys on different keyboard and different OS system to display "@" and "." symbols. I don't have any foreign Windows system to get the key code for each combination. Or if anyone has another solution, I will be pleased to hear that one. Thanks in advance for any help.

    I'm trying to accomplish something similar to Wikipedia's History history page, dynamically disabling radio buttons in a series. Ie... if #4 in group two is selected, then 1-4 of group one are disabled, etc. I know how to disable them individually or as a group, but I'm not sure how to do it in a series of say 1-4: Individually: $("#version_history input[id^=versions_2_3]:radio").attr('disabled',true); or group: $("#version_history input[id^=versions_2]:radio").attr('disabled',true); The inputs are named versions_1_X and versions_2_X, X being some number. 1..2..3.. etc.

  • PHP Mcrypt - Encrypting / Decrypting file

    Trying to write a couple of functions that will encrypt or decrypt a file and am using the class found here to try and accomplish this: http://www.itnewb.com/v/PHP-Encryption-Decryption-Using-the-MCrypt-Library-libmcrypt The encryption function below seems to work, in that it appears to encrypt the file and place it in the intended directory. I'm trying to decrypt the file now, and it just dies with the message "Failed to complete decryption" (which is coded in there...) There's nothing in the php error logs, so I'm not sure why it's failing, but as mcrypt is entirely new to me, I'm more than inclined to believe I'm doing something wrong here...   • Letting a new PHP page know a new POST value is an Array?

    I have a page that creates an associative array, then passes it as a hidden value to a new PHP page. I have a foreach loop waiting to iterate through it but it coughs up an "invalid argument" error, as if the page doesn't know the value it's working with is an array (Despite "print" showing simply "Array"). This is essentially what I have: //Hidden input to be passed to the next page print "<input type=\"hidden\" name=\"price_list\" value=\"$item_list\"> //Code on the second page for the foreach loop extract($_POST); foreach($price_list as $name=>$price) { ... } But I am simply given "Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/cut/mg299/public_html/PHP/invoice.php on line 17". The array works fine, as I can iterate on the previous page, and other values are parsed fine to this second page. Do I need to 'reinitialise' this array value?

  • iPhone: how do I set up a clear window-size "blocker view"?

    I feel like this should be obvious to me, but for some reason I can't figure this out. I have a navigation interface with nav bar, tool bar, and primary view. Sometimes the user takes an action that causes a progress indicator to appear in the middle of the view. While the progress indicator (which is a custom UIView) in spinning in the middle, I want no touch input to be allowed to go to any of the underlying interface (main view, nav bar, toolbar, etc). But this doesn't seem trivial. I've tried (and failed) to create a simple view whose only job is to swallow touch input and use it as a window subview-- no dice, it never gets the touch events (and yes, it does have userInteractionEnabled). I've tried to bolt it on as a transparent modal view controller, but those don't seem to ever be transparent. Thoughts? What am I missing? Thanks!
