  • jQuery Dialog theme not being applied

    I'm using jquery-1.4.2.min.js and jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.min.js. According to Firebug, both minimized scripts have been loaded. They both appear in the dropdown list on Firebug's Scripts tab. The dialog is launching, but there's no background and so the text below it shows through, and there's no "window" stuff at all, no titlebar, no X button. Just the floating/draggable text with a -close- link at the top left corner. I was under the impression from reading these pages http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/ http://jqueryui.com/themeroller/ that the UI theme-driven appearance would be automatically applied to the dialog when it was invoked using this barebones call: $('#dialog').dialog() I would be grateful for suggestions on how to troubleshoot this.     I have a bunch of images that are guaranteed to have: minimum width = 200px maximum width = 250px minimum height = 150px maximum height = 175px What I want to do is display a consist 200px by 150px rectangle of the image while maintaining scale (no stretching or shrinking). Which means, I might have some overflow. How can I display the image so that it keeps porpotions to the original image size, yet displayed inside a 200x150 px window and hiding any overflow?

  • Listfield layout question - blackberry

    I'm having an interesting anomaly when displaying a listfield on the blackberry simulator: The top item is the height of a single line of text (about 12 pixels) while the rest are fine. Does anyone know why only the top item is being drawn this way? Also, when I add an empty venue in position 0, it still displays the first actual venue this way (item in position 1). Not sure what to do. Thanks for any help.     I'm having a simple scaling problem with CATextLayer, but i just couldn't figure it out: I want the CATextLayer to proportionally grow in size with it's superlayer: if the superlayer's width is 300 the text size of CATextLayer should be 12 and if the supeview's width is 600 the text size should be 24.     I'm using a vertical UIButton in a portrait app (Just a normal button that is of width 60 and Height 160) I want to put the label Vetically down the button instead of across it. When I use the following code to rotate the label [workPackageButton.titleLabel setTransform:CGAffineTransformMakeRotation(M_PI / 2)]; It rotates the label but the length seems to be constrained by the original width, so I get the ... abreviation in the middle. Is there an easy way round this?

    The following is a part of an upload class in a c# script. I'm a php programmer, I've never messed with c# much but I'm trying to learn. This upload script will not handle anything except images, I need to adapt this class to handle other types of media also, or rewrite it all together. If I'm correct, I realize that using (Image image = Image.FromStream(file.InputStream)) basically says that the scope of the following is Image, only an image can be used or the object is discarded? And also that the variable image is being created from an Image from the file stream, which I understand to be, like... the $_FILES array in php?   • Get content in iframe to use as much space as it needs

    I'm trying to write a simple JavaScript based modal dialog. The JavaScript function takes the content, puts it in a new iframe and adds the iframe to the page. Works great so far, the only problem is that the content of the dialog (e.g. a table) gets wrapped, although plenty of space is available on the page. I'd like the content of the dialog, a table in my case, to use as much space as it needs, without wrapping any lines. I tried lots of combinations of setting width/style.width on the iframe and the table. Nothing did the trick.   • Google CDN not gzipping jquery

    If I navigate here: http://ajax.microsoft.com/ajax/jquery/jquery-1.4.2.min.js I download 70k using Firefox 3.6.3 and I can confirm it is sending Accept-Encoding: gzip. If I use the Microsoft one: http://ajax.microsoft.com/ajax/jquery/jquery-1.4.2.min.js I download 30k (and it comes through as Content-Encoding: gzip) I am also experiencing this when using jquery 1.4.2 in regular sites eg jquery.com. Funily enough, stack overflow which references jquery 1.3.2 on the google cdn, is coming through gzipped. Why is this happening? Is it some kind of issue with google or am I missing something? I live in Melbourne, Australia.
