• How to get InnerText of IFrame from another site?

  I am trying to do some screen-scraping of a website. The content that I want to get is inside of an IFrame. How do I get the InnerText or HTML that is being displayed inside of the IFrame? I am using .Net 4.0 and C#. I want to be able to do this from a WinForm. • Storing millions of URLs in a database for fast pattern matching

  I am developing a web analytics kind of system which needs to log referring URL, landing page URL and search keywords for every visitor on the website. What I want to do with this collected data is to allow end-user to query the data such as "Show me all visitors who came from Bing.com searching for phrase that contains 'red shoes'" or "Show me all visitors who landed on URL that contained 'campaign=twitter_ad'", etc. Because this system will be used on many big websites, the amount of data that needs to log will grow really, really fast. So, my question: a) what would be the best strategy for logging so that scaling the system doesn't become a pain; b) how to use that architecture for rapid querying of arbitrary requests? Is there a special method of storing URLs so that querying them gets faster? In addition to MySQL database that I use, I am exploring (and open to) other alternatives better suited for this task.

• How to open a file quickly in visual studio .net

  In visual studio, we can open a file in a #Include statement by right clicking the filename in include statement and then clicking "Open Document". But sometimes, when I want to open a file, I don't remember where it was in the project or where has it been included. What I do is that I open any file, add a #include statement for that file, then right-click-Open Document to open the file and then remove the #include statement that I added just to open this file. Can someone plz tell me a more straight forward way of quickly opening a file without searching for it? I am using Visual Studio 2008

  So i have been searching the web for a javascript source for an Hmac-sha1 algorithm. I saw Crypto's but i cant seem to get it to work, mainly because it has no idea what crypto means.   I have a ~300.000 row table; which includes technical terms; queried using PHP and MySQL + FULLTEXT indexes. But when I searching a wrong typed term; for example "hyperpext"; naturally giving no results. I need to "compansate" little writing errors and getting nearest record from database. How I can accomplish such feaure? I know (actually, learned today) about Levenshtein distance, Soundex and Metaphone algorithms but currently not having a solid idea to implement this to querying against database. Best regards. • Handling changes in column order when importing CSV files

  I have a CSV file. The first row will always contain column headers. Depending on a variety of factors, the order of columns may change and, in rare circumstances, some columns may not be present. These changes are beyond my control. My thoughts, so far, on how to address this. I'll read the first row of the file and use the values to generate a list of columns contained in the source file. The destination file will use the same column names as the source. This should be as simple as searching for identical names in the source and destination, then just mapping the column index values, right? What are your recommendations for handling this?

• Scalable way of doing self join with many to many table

  I have a table structure like the following: user id name profile_stat id name profile_stat_value id name user_profile user_id profile_stat_id profile_stat_value_id My question is: How do I evaluate a query where I want to find all users with profile_stat_id and profile_stat_value_id for many stats? I've tried doing an inner self join, but that quickly gets crazy when searching for many stats. I've also tried doing a count on the actual user_profile table, and that's much better, but still slow. Is there some magic I'm missing? I have about 10 million rows in the user_profile table and want the query to take no longer than a few seconds. Is that possible?

• Please help me to allow my `JTable` to search the text even the table is in editable mode on key-press

  If user starts pressing keys using keyboards then JTable is supposed to be searched the matching text for him and if user double clicks on cell then Table should allow him to edit the text. And the issue is - Table is only searching text when the table is in non-editable mode and if Table is editable and user starts typing the text-using keyboard, cell is allowing him to edit the cell rather then search. Mr mKorbel has just solved my issue to allow edit only if double click on Table cell. Please help me to allow my JTable to search the text even the table is in editable mode on key-press.

  Hi, In my current project, I have to compare 128bit values (actually md5 hashes) and I thought it would be possible to accelerate the comparison by using SSE instructions. My problem is that I can't manage to find good documentation on SSE instructions; I'm searching for a 128bit integer comparison instruction that let me know if one hash is larger, smaller or equal to another. Does such an instruction exists? PS: The targeted machines are x86_64 servers with SSE2 instructions; I'm also interested in a NEON instruction for the same job.

• Replacing TCP/IP pipe with WCF

  So currently my company is using a TCP/IP connection to talk between server and client programs, right now we are building this connection using System.RunTime.Remoting, which is clunky and not that reliable. It was built about 5 years ago and the model keeps getting reused and it's starting to propagate some issues, ports used, refused connections, etc. I'm trying to find some resources on how to change this over to WCF but I'm not really sure what I am looking for or what I should be searching. If you want some more information on what were actually doing with it I can go into some detail, but I'll need to pull up the code and make sure I explain it completely. thanks!

  In SQL Server 2005 tablename can be used to distinguish which table you're referring to: UPDATE LinkedServer.database.user.tablename SET val=u.val FROM localtable u WHERE tablename.ID=u.ID In SQL Server 2000 this results in Server: Msg 107, Level 16, State 2 The column prefix 'tablename' does not match with a table name or alias name used in the query. Trying UPDATE LinkedServer.database.user.tablename SET val=u.val FROM localtable u WHERE LinkedServer.database.user.tablename.ID=u.ID results in Server: Msg 117, Level 15, State 2 The number name 'LinkedServer.database.user.tablename' contains more than the maximum number of prefixes. The maximum is 3. And, of course, UPDATE LinkedServer.database.user.tablename SET val=u.val FROM localtable u WHERE ID=u.ID results in Server: Msg 209, Level 16, State 1 Ambiguous column name 'ID'. (In fact searching on "The number name contains more than the maximum number of prefixes. The maximum is 3." I found the answer, but I've typed up this question and I'm going to post it! :-) )

  This is my simple query; By searching selectnothing I'm sure I'll have no hits. SELECT nome_t FROM myTable WHERE nome_t ILIKE '%selectnothing%'; This is the EXPLAIN ANALYZE VERBOSE Seq Scan on myTable (cost=0.00..15259.04 rows=37 width=29) (actual time=2153.061..2153.061 rows=0 loops=1) Output: nome_t Filter: (nome_t ~~* '%selectnothing%'::text) Total runtime: 2153.116 ms myTable has around 350k rows and the table definition is something like: CREATE TABLE myTable ( nome_t text NOT NULL, ) I have an index on nome_t as stated below: CREATE INDEX idx_m_nome_t ON myTable USING btree (nome_t); Although this is clearly a good candidate for Fulltext search I would like to rule that option out for now. This query is meant to be run from a web application and currently it's taking around 2 seconds which is obviously too much; Is there anything I can do, like using other index methods, to improve the speed of this query?

• Is there a shorthand version of HTML available?

  I remember reading an article about a shorthand version, or extension, of HTML a few months ago. Its purpose was to make HTML code significantly more concise, by removing end tags, and it may have allowed loops of some sort as well. I want to use it now, but I can't seem to remember what it was called. Searching online, I found HAML, but HAML syntax doesn't look like the example that I remember from the article. The syntax from the article made use of right angle brackets, which were a sort of replacement for indentation. Can anyone identify this language?

• Fulltext for innoDB? or a good solution for php app

  I have a table I want to run a fulltext search on, but it is currently innoDB and is using a lot of foreign keys for other kinds of queries. Should I make like a 1:1 "meta-data" table that is myisam for fulltext? Also I am reading some things that say that fulltext corrupts MySQL tables pretty randomly? I dunno, the articles are a couple years old, maybe they've fixed that in 5+? If not what's a good solution for searching? Zend_Lucene seems cool but slow, even with caching, for the client's large tables and autocomplete functionality et al.

  I'm working on a search feature for my application, I want to search all articles in the database. As of now, I'm using a LIKE in my queries, but I want to add a "Related Articles" feature, sort of like what SO has in the sidebar (which I see as a problem if I use Like). What's better to use for MySQL searching, Fulltext or Like... or anything else I might not know about? Also, I'm using the Kohana Framework, so If anybody knows an easy way to do fulltext matching using the query builder, I'd appreciate that. Thanks.

  I've got addresses I need to clean up for matching purposes. Part of the process is trimming unwanted suffices from housenumbers, e.g: mainstreet 4a --> mainstreet 4. However I don't want: 618 5th Ave SW --> 618 5 Ave SW in other words there are some strings (for now: st, nd, rd, th) which I don't want to strip. What would be the best method of doing this (regex or otherwise) ? a wokring regex without the exceptions would be: a = a.replaceAll("(^| )([0-9]+)[a-z]+($| )","$1$2$3"); //replace 1a --> 1 I thought about first searching and substiting the special cases with special characters while keeping the references in a map, then do the above regex, and then doing the reverse substitute using the reference map, but I'm looking for a simpler solution.   Hi, I'm working as a QA (Software Tester with 3 years of experience) and was thinking of getting some certifications for my career. I already have the ISTQB certification and was thinking of doing SCJP along with MCTS 70-433 certification (SQL Server 2008 Database Development) as the next move. So my question is this: 1) Who should go for the 70-433 certification and is it worth going for, for a career in QA? 2) What would be a good book to study for this? I'm just looking for a simple book that is written just to the point and not much bloated up such as technical bibles. Not that they aren't good but they just take up too much of time. Maybe something similar to the one written by Kathy Sierra & Bert Bates for SCJP. It is written in a very simple language and is enough to do SCJP. Edit: I'm still searching for answers to this.   This is the PATH variable without sudo: $ echo 'echo $PATH' | sh /opt/local/ruby/bin:/usr/bin:/bin This is the PATH variable with sudo: $echo 'echo $PATH' | sudo sh /usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin As far as I can tell, sudo is supposed to leave PATH untouched. What's going on? How do I change this? (This is on Ubuntu 8.04). UPDATE: as far as I can see, none of the scripts started as root change PATH in any way. From man sudo: To prevent command spoofing, sudo checks ``.'' and ``'' (both denoting current directory) last when searching for a command in the user's PATH (if one or both are in the PATH). Note, however, that the actual PATH environment variable is not modified and is passed unchanged to the program that sudo executes.

  Hopefully this is a pretty simple question for someone to answer. I have a drop down list control that I need to pull the value from in the code behind of the page, modify it and redisplay it. The modifying and redisplaying I've got no problem with, it's grabing the value from the drop down control. Examples in C# would be appreciated as this web app I've been handed is already coded that way. I'm pretty new to .Net so be gentle and I already did some searching via Google and a little bit on the site here, but couldn't find anything that stood out as being the direction to go in to do this.

  Hello everyone- In my C# Console App I'm trying to use Regex to search a string to determine if there is a match or not. Below is my code but it is not quite working right so I will explain further. sSearchString is set to "_One-Call_Pipeline_Locations" and pDS.Name is a filename it is searching against. Using the code below it is set to true for Nevada_One-Call_Pipeline_Locations and Nevada_One-Call_Pipeline_LocationsMAXIMUM. There should be a match for Nevada_One-Call_Pipeline_Locations But Not for Nevada_One-Call_Pipeline_LocationsMAXIMUM. How can I change my code to do this properly?   I have a simple navigation based iPhone app, in which user can navigate form one view to another view. There is only one view which have 4 tab. Each tab loads a a seperate nib with a corresponding controller. Each nib contains a tableview with some other controls for searching/filtering etc. Apprt from this I dont need tabBar in any view. So for ex: Login View Welcome View (With TabBar) user select Setting tab and select any setting option Setting Detail view(WITHOUT tabbar) Back WelcomView( With Tab Bar) I am confused how to add a tab bar in navigation based template where only one view is using tabBar all other uses Navigation I hope you understand my problem. I am new to iphone so any example/link will help a lot. Thanks
