    Cloud9 is a free IDE available from https://github.com/ajaxorg/cloud9/ under GPLv3. I would like to use this to set up a service like https://c9.io/. The Cloud9 documentations do not mention anything about it. The Cloud9 documentation assume a sing user on localhost or bind to another address without one hard set username and hard set password. How do I run cloud9 IDE on my computer allowing multiple users? Are there any documentations? This is the closest to what I found - https://github.com/avgp/cloud9hub (for multiple workspaces)

  • Multiple Monitors on One Screen

    Does anyone know of any software/hardware configuration that will allow you to preview/view the contents multiple monitors on one monitor? Let's pretend: I have two monitors hooked up to one pc, Monitor A and Monitor B. The monitors are not near each other. I'd like to be able to preview/see what's displaying on Monitor B on Monitor A I haven't been able to find much about this, but I imagine it may not currently be possible to access/emulate video output going out of a video port in software. However, wouldn't it be possible to capture display data generated by the OS kernel or data getting passed down to the display adapter driver?

    Hi, I've tried to rebuild my search index but it does not seem to help. When i search for anything even command I either get an empty list or a list of short cuts with the names Programs Documents Files ... They all have the default white paper icon. If I click on them I get an error message that says Internet security settings prevented one or more files from being opened. Any ideas? thanks

  • SAN for Medium Business - Where to start? [closed]

    I've always run Linux on my home computers, and done PC repair for years, but this is my first experience with needing to buy a SAN. I thought I was knowledgeable, but I feel a bit lost. I need to be able to support 25 VMs, which are currently managed through vSphere. The company I'm at is growing quickly though, so I'd like to plan for the future. Ideally, I want a solution that I can just tack arrays onto and manage as one large, iSCSI drive. Suggestions? Good resources? If I can find something that appears to software as one large drive, am I better off going with a solution like FreeNAS or Starwind, or an all-in-one proprietary solution like NetApp? Cost, is (of course, and always I'm sure) an issue.

    I've struggled with this one for a whole day, so here is both the problem & solution: After profiling an ASP.NET application on Windows 7 (x64), I exited Visual Studio (possibly a crash) and installed some updates which required a reboot. When I loaded back up the ASP.NET Web Application in my Visual Studio Solution was dimmed out, and the Web & WAS services turned out to be stopped. When I tried starting Windows Process Activation Service, I got the error "parameter is incorrect".

    I have a mkv video I want to convert to mp4, but every which way I try and convert it (Handbrake, WinFF, ffmpeg, mencoder,...I lose the video's subtitles. How can I convert the video,keeping the subtitles, or add a subtitles.srt? I also would like 2 pass encoding with a video bitrate of 4054 and audio bitrate of 160. Thanks.   • IBus client for GNU Emacs: Installed, but how do I start it?

    Having recently moved to Linux/Ubuntu, I'm looking for a good editor, and GNU Emacs seems to fit the bill. One thing I want from a text editor is the ability to handle Unicode Input Method Editors in a "normal way", across the board. For Ubuntu, the "normal way" is via IBus. However, emacs does not support IBus "off the shelf". I found a launchpad project: IBus client for GNU Emacs: ibus-el. I've installed ibus-el and set it up as per the Customize section of this emacswiki IBusMode page. I included the suggested "toggle" keybinding: ;; Use s-SPC to toggle input status It seems to have installed okay, but I have no idea how to invoke IBus and switch IMEs. s-SPC doesn't fire up the IBus language panel...   • TableView Cells Use Whole Screen Height

    I read through this tutorial Appcelerator: Using JSON to Build a Twitter Client and attempted to create my own simple application to interact with a Jetty server I setup running some Spring code. I basically call a get http request that gives me a bunch of contacts in JSON format. I then populate several rows with my JSON data and try to build a TableView. All of that works, however, my tableView rows take up the whole screen. Each row is one screen. I can scroll up and down and see all my data, but I'm trying to figure out what's wrong in my styling that's making the cells use the whole screen. My CSS is not great, so any help is appreciated.   • WPF: Updating visibility of controls not updating the screen

    I will preface this by stating that I am new to WPF programming and may be making multiple errors. Any insight that can be provided to help me improve in my skills are greatly appreciated. I am working with a WPF application and am looping through a list of objects that contain properties that describe a document that should be built on the fly and automatically printed. I am attempting to display a small grid in the interface that shows the document being built before it is printed. This serves two purposes: one, it allows the user to see work being done by the application. Two, it renders the items on the screen so that I can then have something to actually print since WPF appears to not be able to load an image for printing dynamicaly without displaying it on the screen. In my code, I am setting the various elements in the grid and setting the visibility to visible. However, the UI is not updating and the printed document doesn't look as intended since the image never shows up on the screen. Basically it builds a visual element for a page, prints an XPS version of it and then builds the next page and prints it, etc. Once all pages have been processed, the job is actually sent to the printer. The only purpose of this application is to let the user print these documents so there is not other task that they can do in the application while the documents print. I thought that putting this task in a background thread would help to update the UI but since I am trying to manipulate items directly on the UI thread it would appear that this option won't work for me. What am I doing wrong here and how can I improve the code so that I can get the behavior that I am trying to achieve?

    I'm stuck at how to save the state of my EditTexts on screen orientation. Currently if text is inputted into the EditTexts and the screen is orientated, the fields are wiped (as expected). I am already calling onSaveInstanceState and saving a String, but I have no clue on how to save the EditTexts which are created in code and then retrieve them and add them to the EditTexts when redrawing the activity. I know the data file is getting downloaded because I watch the directory where it is being placed. "import ppm:- | gocr -i - | xclip -selection c" works, but gocr is unreliable: simple text on a webpage has errors. It is a clear font but the OCR tool always misses "r" and replaces it with underscore. "import ppm:- | ocrad -i - | xclip -selection c" says "ocrad: maxval 255 in ppm "P6" file." tesseract needs an image file and does not accept piping input to it. xfce4-screenshooter does not do OCR.   • No login prompt displayed after updating Ubuntu 10.04, broken gdm

    So here's what happens: I updated my system the other day, was prompted for a reboot for the update to complete but was in the middle of working so I delayed it until after I was done. I reboot and it's broken :(. It appears to boot normally, with the following exceptions: The purple Ubuntu load screen no longer displays (though it did for the first couple of times I tried to get in). I hear the login prompt sound, but no login prompt appears. Nor is it simply "invisible" - pressing enter, typing my password, and pressing enter again do nothing. Normally my Bluetooth mouse is functional at this point, but it is not. GRUB displays recovery options for my current kernel, and for an older one (2.6.32-24). Trying to boot into .32-24 gives me an error saying "udevadm can't do something while udev is not configured". So I try solutions listed here: http://superuser.com/questions/195786/ubuntu-update-went-wrong-pc-doesnt-boot-how-can-i-repair-it Nothing I tried seemed to work, and after further Googling my hunch is that it's a problem with gdm. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I don't know all that much about how Linux/Ubuntu systems work just yet. Things I'm able to do: Boot to a live CD Ctrl-Alt-F2 after that login sound plays brings me to a console login, which I can successfully do (it's how I tried the solutions above). This works only under the current kernel. A hack I'd be willing to explore is removing the login prompt from the console, but I'd prefer to "simply" fix what's wrong. Like that guy, I need to repair the system rather than reinstall. System: Dell Inspiron 1525 Core 2 Duo Proprietary Driver for Broadcom 43xx wireless Dual-boot with Windows 7 (which is how I'm posting this, unfortunately I only have this machine and any experimenting requires constant reboots into Windows/brokenbuntu) Last package installed was Moonlight, but it appeared to install properly. Kernel: 2.6.32-25 Edit: After working with Karl's suggestions, it seems that the problem is with gdm. Error exit status 245 when attempting to sudo apt-get install --reinstall gdm, also an error processing gdm when running sudo apt-get -f install. How do I reinstall or repair gdm so that I can get back into my machine?

  • Preparing for Interview: I feel like, I wanna start coding all data structures again.... Is it a right way to start?

    I started preparing for my interview. I will be graduating this May. Right now, I am doing an internship in an product based company, so I did my fair share of preparation. The thing is, whenever, I try to do something, I always think that I should start everything from page 1. It is sometimes not at all helpful.... For example, reading a programming book from page 1 is not going to helpful, as I never completed one and always stopped half way through or rushed through towards deadlines. I am facing a similar situation now. I feel like, I wanna start coding all data structures from first(I attempted and finished atleast 6-7 last fall, preparing for interview). Now I feel like, I wanna code everything from first, instead of attempting something new.... I am not quite sure, what this is, but this is the way I have been..... LOL

    Hey all, I'm building OpenCV2.1 from top of branch in 64 bit mode, when I link the libraries against my code (that works in 32 bit mode on XP), I get the dialog: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0150002) Click OK to close the application" When I start the application. The event viewer is pointing at one of the OpenCV dll's & says it's a Side-by-Side error, but I'm definitely building OpenCV & my code as a 64 bit compile, and there are no errors during that process. I've tried fiddling with the /MTd options & it doesn't help. Some (almost) related questions have suggested installing the VS2008 redistributable package, but I'm building using vs2008 pro, that seems like madness? Is it still necessary to install the package in my case? Any help, including the cause of these side-by-side errors, would be appreciated. James

  • Adding View extending from SurfaceView to layout gives me a blank screen

    I'm very new to Android programming, so this is probably something pretty basic. I just have an xml layout with a few buttons. I'm trying to follow the model given by the JetBoy demo, so I'm adding a view to the layout which extends SurfaceView. When this new view is put in my xml layout, I just get a blank screen. Here's the XML layout if it helps.   • How to (pre)start xamlx workflow service

    Related to this question. I have a xamlx workflow service that loads part of its definition from a database when it runs (using ActivityXamlServices.Load). Reason for this is that I need versioning, see the related question. I'll use WCF routing to direct calls to the right service. The part that I load dynamically contains a Receive activity. However, this activity is 'invisible' as long as the workflow doesn't start because the part of the workflow I load from the database is only loaded when the workflow starts. So from the outside it appears as if there is no Receive activity in the workflow. Apart from not being able to generate a contract for the workflow service, I can't call the service either. My first attempt was to do a soap call with the right contract on the workflow service. However, the runtime doesn't automagically activate my workflow in that case. So the question is, how do I start a workflow that is hosted inside IIS? Regards, Ronald

  • Reset or clear the UIView from UILabels

    Hello, I have created an UIView on which I have a number of labels and I'm also drawing some lines in the same UIView. Sometimes I update the lines that I'm drawing. Now, the problem I am having is that when I update the lines, they get drawn according to my wish. But the labels are overwriting themselves. This shouldn't have been a problem if it wasn't for that the position is changed about 1 pixel and that makes the text go blurry. I don't know how to remove the labels before they are redrawn. I do remove the labels from the superview and add them back when drawRect is called, but the SetNeedDisplay doesn't clear the screen before the graphic is updated, I guess (I think I read that SetNeedsDisplay/drawRect doesn't clear the screen, just updating the content. Couldn't find the text now while searching)? What is the pattern to use here, should I create a retangle with the size of the screen (or the area where the labels are) and fill it with the background colour, or is there any other way to clear or reset the UIView (I don't want to release and create the UIView again). The view is created in IB and associated with a custom UIView. In IB I add some buttons and other static labels. The above labels and graphics is created programatically. Any comments would be helpful! Thanks in advance!

    So if my start date is : 04/22/2010 then my end date selection can be up to 04/22/2011 and after 04/22/2011 are dates all disabled.   • Flash in firefox does not start unitl they show in page

    I have this little problem. My client wanted two distinct swf on a web page: a viewer on top and a slideshow of images at bottom. Clicking a link on the slideshow make the viewer load a movie, by means of LocalConnection api. The slideshow has a default, so when the page is loaded a default movie start. This works nice on all browser. The only problem I have is on firefox. When screen resolution is too low, or the monitor is too small (netbook) the slideshow remain hidden until scrolling. Therefore at page loading it doesn't start and the main viewer don't get instructed on playing the default video. As soon as I scroll the page, and the slideshow swf display on page, it starts and everything works fine. Do you know if there are any solution to this ? I cannot change the design, I must have two distinct swf, they come from a library he has, and I am trying to reuse components. thanks Leonardo

  • STM32 I2C1 Start bit not set on SR1 register

    Hi guys, I am trying to program the stm32 to talk to my i2c EEprom, but it seems like everytime I say: I2C_GenerateSTART(I2C1, ENABLE); while( !(I2C_CheckEvent(I2C1, I2C_EVENT_MASTER_MODE_SELECT)) ); the code hangs here I went through with the debugger and I found that the SR1 bit 0 flag (which is the start bit generated flag) is not set which is why the code hangs. I can see in the oscilloscope that the start bit was generated and this works sometimes. it usually breaks when I tried to do several writes in a row. I checked the HW is everything looks fine I checked the frequency that I am running on the i2c bus it is 100Khz well within the 24lc1025 eeprom. any ideas, thanks
