    The problem: 'css' directory gets rewritten also to 'index.php' and displays somehow 'index.php' without style. Should display error as it has it's own htaccess with 'Options All -Indexes' Facts: 'css' subdir doesn't have an index file.(no htaccess on this folder) 'store' subdir does have index file and doesn't get rewritten. (no htaccess on this folder) RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^.+/?$ index.php [NC,L] How can i effectively remove 'css' and 'css/' from the above rule? Tried some variations already.

  • Asp.Net 3.5 Routing to Asmx Webservice?

    I was looking for a way to route http://www.example.com/WebService.asmx to http://www.example.com/service/ using only the ASP.NET 3.5 Routing framework without needing to configure the IIS server. Until now I have done what most tutorials told me, added a reference to the routing assembly, configured stuff in the web.config, added this to the Global.asax: protected void Application_Start(object sender, EventArgs e) { RouteCollection routes = RouteTable.Routes; routes.Add( "WebService", new Route("service/{*Action}", new WebServiceRouteHandler()) ); } ...created this class: public class WebServiceRouteHandler : IRouteHandler { public IHttpHandler GetHttpHandler(RequestContext requestContext) { // What now? } } ...and the problem is right there, I don't know what to do. The tutorials and guides I've read use routing for pages, not webservices. Is this even possible? Ps: The route handler is working, I can visit /service/ and it throws the NotImplementedException I left in the GetHttpHandler method.

    I can't seem to get the ASP.NET engine to handle ALL wildcard mapping. When I try to make a request that is supposed to be handled by the asp.net engine, i get a 404 error from the StaticFile handler Here is the content of my web.config file.   • Urlrewriting.net pages are not causing postbacks

    I'm using webforms with UrlRewriting.Net to rewrite pages, e.g. http://www.example.com/stuff.aspx?c=30 becomes http://www.example.com/stuff/30-this-stuff.aspx. It works in so far as the correct content is loading; however, none of the postbacks are working (mostly buttons on the page). If I set up a breakpoint on Page_Load, I see that IsPostBack is always false. Any ideas on how to fix this? Right now I'm just on Visual Studio 2008. EDIT: I have since switched to UrlRewriter.Net, which worked after a few tweaks (see Scott Gu's article). Besides here, I have posted my original problem to the developer's forum: if I ever get an answer, I'll post it here (unless else posts it here first).

  • Need to open links in new tab in ie8 !

    I have a sidebar (right sided iframe) and when i click on a link in it, it opens a new window in IE8, (in firefox it open a new tab). What do i need to do to open links in IE8 in a new tab. I already set the Tools-Internet Options-Settings- 'Always open pop-ups in a new tab' and 'A new tab in the current window' open in new tab but still doesn't work. My links are pretty simple, what am i missing ? exemple: text. Also some site are saying to register Regsvr32 actxprxy.dll to fix this problem, still doesn't work. And i want this to work with a simple click, no 'right-click-open in new tab' option. I also hope i won't get the 'can't change how ie8 works' answer. ;)

    Hey, I got a working webpage with CodeIgniter. I did now just upload it to my webserver and it gives me a 404 error.     Hello guys, after reading this article "Slash or not to slash" (link: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2010/04/to-slash-or-not-to-slash.html) on Google Webmaster Central Blog (the oficial one) I decided to test my ASP.NET MVC app. For example: http://domain.com/products and http://domain.com/products/ (with "/" in the end), return the code 200, which means: Google understands it as two different links and likely to be a "duplicated content". They suggest to choose the way you want... with or without dash and create a 301 permanent redirect to the preferred way. So if I choose without dash, when I try to access http://domain.com/products/ it will return a 301 to the link without dash: http://domain.com/products. My problem is I don't know what that means, if it means the debug output window in Visual Studio (where you see build output, debug output and more) I am not seeing any UrlRewriter debug output. The rules are working (mostly) I just want to get more debug output to fix issues. I added the register call to the rewriter section like this: <rewriter> <register logger="Intelligencia.UrlRewriter.Logging.DebugLogger, Intelligencia.UrlRewriter" /> .... </rewriter> I am hosting this website locally in IIS on Vista, to debug it I attach the debugger to the w3wp process. Other selected parts from the web.config" <compilation debug="true"> <assemblies> ... </assemblies> </compilation> <trace enabled="true"/> Where should I see the debug output from UrlRewriter.NET? If it is in the Visual Studio debug output window, any ideas why I am not seeing it there?

  • Routing with command controller and sub controllers without using areas

    How can I create a routing structure for a project management application where there are discrete controllers for all the relevant pieces such as TaskController, DocumentController etc and an Over arching controller. I would essentially like a structure like: http://server/Project/123/Task http://server/Project/123/Document I am using mvc1 so I have no access to areas etc. The project section will have a separate master page for project controllers such as task, document etc with a dfferent menu navigaton.   • Unicode characters in URLs

    In 2010, would you serve URLs containing UTF-8 characters in a large web portal? Unicode characters are forbidden as per the RFC on URLs (see here). They would have to be percent encoded to be standards compliant. My main point, though, is serving the unencoded characters for the sole purpose of having nice-looking URLs, so percent encoding is out. All major browsers seem to be parsing those URLs okay no matter what the RFC says. My general impression, though, is that it gets very shaky when leaving the domain of web browsers: URLs getting copy+pasted into text files, E-Mails, even Web sites with a different encoding HTTP Client libraries Exotic browsers, RSS readers Is my impression correct that trouble is to be expected here, and thus it's not a practical solution (yet) if you're serving a non-technical audience and it's important that all your links work properly even if quoted and passed on? Is there some magic way of serving nice-looking URLs in HTML http://www.example.com/düsseldorf?neighbourhood=Lörick that can be copy+pasted with the special characters intact, but work correctly when re-used in older clients?

    www.domain.com community :action/* member/profile-(\d+)-(.+) member/profile-%d-%s 1 2 As you can see, I use a route with :action/* in to cover the homepages and the basics actions on index controller. domain.com/community/random_action = works good. domain.com/community/ doesn't work. The whole homepage is displayed. I checked, and the default route is matched. I tried assemble() on route "www-community-index" and it gives well www.domain.com/community I don't see from where comes the problem :(

    What I need to do is rewriting this address: (1) http://localhost/wordpress/fake/text-value to (2) http://localhost/wordpress/gallery?somevar=text-value Notes: the remapping must be transparent: the user always has to see address (1) gallery is a permalink to a wordpress page, not a real address I basically need to rewrite the address first (to modify it) and then feed it back to mod rewrite again (to let wordpress parse it its own way). Problems if I simply do RewriteRule ^fake$ http://localhost/wordpress/gallery [L] it works but the address in the browser changes, which is no good, if I do RewriteRule ^fake$ /wordpress/gallery [L] I get a 404. I tried different flags instead of [L] but to no avail. How can I get this to work?
