Are CMAttitude and CATransform3D related by rotational matrices?

I'm looking at the core motion class CMAttitude, it can express the device's orientation as a 3x3 rotational matrix. At the same time I've taken a look at the CATransform3D, which encapsulates the view's attitude, as well as scaling. The CATransform3D is a 4x4 matrix. I've seen that the OpenGL rotational matrix is 4x4 and is simply 0001 padded in the 4th row and column. I'm wandering if the CMAttitude's rotational matrix is related to CATransform's matrix? Can I use the device's rotation in space obtained via a rotational matrix to transform a UIView using CATransform3D? My intention is to let the user move the phone and apply the same transform to a UIView on the screen. Bonus question: if they are related, how do I transform a CMAttitude's rotational matrix to CATransform3D?

Hi, I'm having a small problem with mod_rewrite I have the following in my .htacces: Options +FollowSymlinks RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^(.+)\.htm$ index.php?name=$1 [NC] This is my index.php file: <?php echo $_GET['name]; ?> This works great for the following url: www.mySite.com/this is an example.htm this would display "this is an example" What i'm trying to do however, is get it to do the same, without the .htm extension: for example: www.mySite.com/this is an example Any ideas? (dont think it's relevant but i'm using xampp to test this)

Round bottom corners on Android Bitmap?

Hey all, what would be best practice for clipping the bottom borders of a Bitmap? Just manipulate the Bitmap itself or overlay an alpha mask drawable or ...? The whole story: I've a Listview which looks like the iPhone's grouped UITableView style. I would like to display a Bitmap in the last row, but for now the Bitmap overlaps my custom background drawable of the Listview cell. Thx in advance!

Forcing Arrange in a Custom WPF Canvas

Hello, I'm working on a project that involves creating a custom graphical editor. The graphical editor has multiple tabs, and I want to create a preview function that will show a popup with Bitmap previews of the content of each of the tabs. However, the problem I'm running into is that the content for each of the tabs must be arranged before a proper preview can be generated for it. This means going into each of the tabs to ensure that they're rendered and arranged. Then, and only then, do the previews get properly generated, otherwise the previews have a size of 0x0. Does anybody know how to force an arrange of a content control so that I can get a properly sized preview generated ?

Something like a manual refresh is needed angularjs, and a $digest() iterations error

(post edited again, new comments follow this line) I'm changing the title of this posting since it was misleading - I was trying to fix a symptom. I was unable to figure out why the code was breaking with a $digest() iterations error. A plunk of my code worked fine. I was totally stuck, so I decided to make my code a little more Angular-like. One anti-pattern I had implemented was to hide my model behind my controller by adding getters/setters to the controller. I tore all that out and instead put the model into the $scope since I had read that was proper Angular. To my surprise, the $digest() iterations error went away. I do not exactly know why and I do not have the intestinal fortitude to put the old code back and figure it out. I surmise that by involving the controller in the get/put of the data I added a dependency under the hood. I do not understand it. edit #2 ends here. (post edited, see EDIT below) I was working through my first Error: 10 $digest() iterations reached. Aborting! error today. I solved it this way: <div ng-init="lineItems = ctrl.getLineItems()"> <tr ng-repeat="r in lineItems"> <td>{{r.text}}</td> <td>...</td> <td>{{r.price | currency}}</td> </tr </div> Now a new issue has arisen - the line items I'm producing can be modified by another control on the page. It's a text box for a promo code. The promo code adds a discount to the lineItem array. It would show up if I could ng-repeat over ctrl.getLineItems(). Since the ng-repeat is looking at a static variable, not the actual model, it doesn't see that the real line items have changed and thus the promotional discount doesn't get displayed until I refresh the browser. Here's the HTML for the promo code: <input type="text" name="promo" ng-model="ctrl.promoCode"/> <button ng-click="ctrl.applyPromoCode()">apply promo code</button> The input tag is writing the value to the model. The bg-click in the button is invoking a function that will apply the code. This could change the data behind the lineItems. I have been advised to use $scope.apply(...). However, since this is applied as a matter of course by ng-click is isn't going to do anything. Indeed, if I add it to ctrl.applyPromoCode(), I get an error since an .apply() is already in progress. I'm at a loss. EDIT The issue above is probably the result of me fixing of symptom, not a problem. jquery ui position fails with margin

Hi, I am trying to use jQuery to position an inpage div (Context-Menu) relative to a clicked tablerow on a webpage. This works fine until I add an offset with either "left" or "margin-left" to the outer container. Using padding-left works.... The relevant code is: $('#supermenu').position({ my: "left top", at: "left top", of: $(event.target).closest('tr'), collision: "fit" }); The caller looks like: <tr onclick="getMenu(event)"><td>.... What happens: The left margin is added "twice" to the X Offset, so the Menu is not aligned to the left border of the table but somewhere right of it. The offset from the border is exactly the offset from the outer container. Anybody can shed some light? Oliver

i have a class which inherets a attribute from a super-class. this attribute is a class itself. class classA(superClass): def func(self,x): if self.attributeB is None: do somthing and in the other class i have class superClass: self.attributB = classB() i get the error AttributeError: class classA has no attribute 'attributeB' when i access the attribute like i showed but if on command line i can see it works, x = classA() x.attributeB is None True so the test works. whats going on in the above code?

I DISTINCTly hate MySQL (help building a query)

This is staight forward I believe: I have a table with 30,000 rows. When I SELECT DISTINCT 'location' FROM myTable it returns 21,000 rows, about what I'd expect, but it only returns that one column. What I want is to move those to a new table, but the whole row for each match. My best guess is something like SELECT * from (SELECT DISTINCT 'location' FROM myTable) or something like that, but it says I have a vague syntax error. Is there a good way to grab the rest of each DISTINCT row and move it to a new table all in one go?

Hi, I am using a dataset on the server, in this dataset I have a datatable that calls a stored procedure and returns column names from three tables. I call this stored procedure using a web service. I manage to show all the column names in my combobox but when I want to click a button and insert selected column name into a richtextbox I get System.Data.DataRowView in the textbox instead. Linq ChangeConflictException occurs when submitting DataContext changes

This action is done thousands of times a day, and I get this exception about once every 5 seconds. From what I understand it happens when something changes in the database in the period between creating DataContext and updating it. Am I right? How can I fix it? Update I just debugged the error and found the following: Table name: dbo.Stats current value: 9852039 original value: 9852038 database value: 9852039 The Stats table is updated constantly. So how can I still make LINQ save the changes. With "classical" SQL Server access through SqlDataCommand I never had problems like that.
