• Replacing multiple patterns in a block of data

  Hi All, I need to find the most efficient way of matching multiple regular expressions on a single block of text. To give an example of what I need, consider a block of text: "Hello World what a beautiful day" I want to replace Hello with "Bye" and "World" with Universe. I can always do this in a loop ofcourse, using something like String.replace functions availiable in various languages. However, I could have a huge block of text with multiple string patterns, that I need to match and replace. I was wondering if I can use Regular Expressions to do this efficiently or do I have to use a Parser like LALR. I need to do this in JavaScript, so if anyone knows tools that can get it done, it would be appreciated.

If it happens I want to do some work and show a progressbar while doing that.   Hello I am working on internal PHP application where users login only from our network (we are on dedicated IP and application is checking $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] and if is match our IP go thru if not - Bye However how I can identify from which station user is login ? Using cookie not gonna work - those are windows station working under control MS StedyState and all cookies are deleted every login I don't need nothing fancy like full MAC address just any unique ID (can not be application username - because users use different stations) Any ideas ? Maybe Javascript is able to grab some Unique detail from station's browser (IE 8) and pass this as hidden input? bensiu

  I'm stuck with this pretty silly thing; I got a textfile like this; Hello::140.0::Bye I split it into a string array using; LS = line.split("::"); Then I try to convert the array values containing the number to a double, like this; Double number = Double.parseDouble(LS[1]); But I get the following error message; Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1 Does anyone have any idea why this doesn't work?

  Hi All, I installed Visual Studio 2008 Professional in my machine and It had installed SQL Server Express 2005 database in machine, and I use it very fine! I installed SQL Managment Studio and works great. So, in this week I Installed Visual Studio 2010 Pro in machine and the setup installed the SQL Server express 2008 and it overwrite the instance of my SQL Server Express 2005. All right, Now, I'd like to know how can I have two instances of the SQL Server Express in my Machine, Express 2005 and Express 2008. I can not access the 2005 , only 2008 :( and my projects uses 2005.. Somebody Help me! thanks Bye

  hey guys, what's the best way to do that: i have a list <ul> <li>hello</li> <li>good bye</li> <li>arrivederci</li> <li class="selected">dude</li> <li>whatever</li> </ul> Initially one item already has a class of .selected applied. When i hover over one of the list-items i want this one to have the .selected class. So every item should only have the class applied when im over, as soon as i leave the item the class get's removed and the next one has the class.

  Hello, I need to implement mechanism that compares two business objects and return the list of differences (past value, new value, isDifferenceBetter). Because not all fields of class has to be compared and one fields need to be compared with different function then the other (sometimes < is better sometimes is better ... ) I figured out that I need to implelemnt custom attribute and give it to each field that has to be compared in this object. This attribute must have: - name - delegate or sth to point to the function which would be applied for comparision (dont know how to do it so far) So could anyone suggest me if its a good idea? Maybe any other ideas. Using attributes I would be able to use refflection to iterate through each field with attribute and invoke needed delegate. thanks for help bye

  Hello all, This is a question about generic c++ event driven applications design. Lets assume that we have two threads, a "Dispatcher" (or "Engine"...) and a "Listener" (or "Client"...). Let's assume that I write the Dispatcher code, and release it as a library. I also write the Listener interface, of course. When the Dispatcher executes (after Listener registration) listenerInstance.onSomeEvent(); the event handling code will actually be executed by the Dispatcher thread, so if the person that implements the Listener writes something like void Listener::onSomeEvent() { while(true) ; } The Dispatcher will stuck forever. Is there a "plain old c++" (I mean no boost or libsigc++) way to "decouple" the two classes, so I can be sure that my Dispatcher will work fine whatever the Listeners does in the callbacks? bye and thanks in advance, Andrea

• router gets disconnected once I terminate my SIP application

  Hey, Here is an interesting one, I have a SIP VoIP application which is able to register to the PBX server, and I can invite and see the user call on the callee end receiving an Invite, and on the caller end I see the Ringing response... now here is interesting part, if I close my application with out any notification to the server my router disconnects and restart, after a short while (30 - 150 sec). I could fix that if I would complete the ACK BYE process, but I'm just wondering why does my router hangs up? any ideas?

• Add another class to a div with javascript

  I have a function that checks the age of a form submission and then returns new content in a div depending on their age. right now I am just using getElementById to replace the html content. BUt I think would work better for me if I could also add a class to a div as well. So for example I have.. if (under certain age) { document.getElementById('hello').innerHTML = "<p>Good Bye</p>"; createCookie('age','not13',0) return false; } else { document.getElementById('hello').innerHTML = "<p>Hello</p>"; return true; } What I would like to do is have everything in a div and if return false then that div disappears and is replaced with other content.. can I get any ideas on a good way to achieve this with pure javascript. I dont want to use jQuery for this particular function.

  for a project i'm making, i'm using Objectify and Google AppEngine I'm quoting and old message from Google Groups, but the problem i have is the same: Here's the problem I'm trying to solve: I'd like to persist instances of several subclasses of one superclass to the datastore, and then retrieve them by querying for that superclass. (For example, a query for Game would return instances of Chess and Backgammon). Is there any way to accomplish this using Objectify? Because the thing i want is the same, but the topic does not provides yet an answer (it's 3 years old), I moved here with the same question. From 2010 to now, this question has been solved? • Software buttons in the android 4.2 emulator not showing up (tablet)

  I'm getting crazy right now. I just installed the latest android adt bundle from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html. It's version v21.0.0. Now I wanted to test my tablet app (designed for 10.1" xlarge mdpi) in the emulator, but I cannot get any software buttons for home/back/... Here's my device configuration. This config is afterwards assigned to the avd. http://i.stack.imgur.com/Q7xvP.png Hardware-buttons don't work as well (you cannot set hardware buttons in a tablet-like emulator). The target api is level 15 (android 4.0.3). I searched stackoverflow, but didn't find any help concerning the latest version of android.   Hello, has anyone ever tried to get the list of all the movieclips (even the nested ones) that are on Stage at a specified stopped (and current) frame in Flash 8, AS 2? I did the following: for(i in _root){ if(typeof(_root[i])=="movieclip"){ trace(_root[i]);} } But this is good for a first level search: that is, if inside the movieclips you have other movieclips, you can't reach them. Furthermore, inside a movieclip there can be more then one movieclip. Has anyone ever tried to do what I'm trying to do? Bye!

  I have the same problem, a 32 bits toshiba nb255, it first had the windows 7 bu next I installed the ubuntu 11.04. The wifi does not turn on. I used the following issues the commands rfkill unblock wlan0, sudo ifconfig wlan0 down; they were not able. by setting up the bios in advanced menu, the wireless communication sw in ON, but it did not work also. neither the utilities toshiba nor utilities of ubuntu (wicd, wifi radar). by using gedit to file group, nothing. by installing madwifi packet, nothing. by exporting the wifi driver from windows to ubuntu, by means of the NDISwrapper packet, neither. The target remains the same, in order of the scripts above. I am worried, I have tried to find any answer for days and nights. Toshiba does not supply drivers or soft support for linux, marketing of course. I only see the device is up by protocols and down phisically, My question is, is it possible to enable or not shutdown physically the device?, because in the toshiba model nb255 the wifi is not set up/down bye means of a physical switch, but by means a combination of Fn + F8 (only for windows 7, no one more), Is there one possibility to configure the hot keys in ubuntu?

• Group Policy drive maps fail with Error Code: 0x80070043

  I'm running a Server 2008 R2 domain with all Windows 7 x64 bit client machines. All drives are mapped using Group Policy. Which were previously on a NAS We just built a new, huge, fast server. So I'm in the process of migrating all the network drives from the NAS to the new fileserver(fs). The old drive maps were mapped using group policy so I just went in and updated to the new server and selected the "Replace" option. But the drives just plain do not map. I do an RSOP on my machine and the error for the drive map is: Result: Failure (Error Code: 0x80070043) The other odd thing, though it may or may not have anything to do with it, is that the winning GPO shown is shown with its SID instead of its name. The SID is correct though. Accessing the shares through Explorer works fine, and mapping them manually works fine. Any ideas? Thanks Chris

• HP network discovery service flooding network with SLP / SRVLOC requests

  I am having trouble with "HP Network discovery service" which I think is responsible for flooding my network with SLP/SRVLOC requests. This has happened on multiple occasions on different devices where some HP printer software installed. Have I misconfigured something in my network that causes this? Or is the HP service at fault? The destination address (224.0.1.60) and SLP confirm that it is a HP service that is doing this. Also the service url in the packets read: "service:x-hpnp-discover:" further confirms this. Why is this happening? I doubt HP would release faulty software like this? So this leaves me thinking that maybe some settings on the HP Procurves are not set up properly?
