  Hi, i get the webpage content from an external website using ajax but now i want a function which extract a specific input field value which is already autofilled. the webpage content is like this: ......... <input name="fullname" id="fullname" size="20" value="David Smith" type="text"> <input name="age" id="age" size="2" value="32" type="text"> <input name="income" id="income" size="20" value="22000$" type="text"> ......... I only want to get the value of fullname, maybe with some javascript regex, or some jQuery dom parser, i know i can do it easily with php but i want it using Javascript or jQuery. Note: this inputs are not hosted in my page, they are just pulled from other website through Ajax. Thanks

  can i have multiple iis ftp sites using something similar to web site's unasigned host headers? i have a dedicated server in a hosting facility and want to make a web site for each of my clients. to add/ remove files and content i want ftp access to each of the sites root folders. lets say i have 10 sites set up using unasigned host headers... how can i set up 10 analogous ftp sites on the same server?   Hi all, I'm using the PhysX SDK and I'm trying to load an .obj file with the WavefrontObj object which is defined by the files "wavefront.h/.cpp", localized in the samples directory. • Switching/Linking to another external stylesheet in a .js file using Ruby on Rails

  Im learning JQuery from a Sitepoint Book but Im trying to apply all the lessons to a Rails App. In one lesson, we are taught how to switch to a different stylesheet if the browser window is resized beyond a certain point. Here's the javascript code: if ($('body').width() > 900) { $('<link rel="stylesheet" href="wide.css" type="text/css" />') .appendTo('head'); } else { $('link[href=wide.css]').remove(); } Rails doesn't seem to want to link to the new stylesheet using 'link rel'. I've tried using the Rails helper: <%= stylesheet_link_tag 'base', :media => 'screen' %> but that doesn't work in a .js file. How do I link to an external stylesheet in a .js file using Ruby? Can I use Ruby on Rails code in a .js file? Thanks.

• Checking for Magento login on external page

  I'm hitting a wall here while trying to access items from Magento on an external page (same server, same domain, etc, etc). I want to see if the user is logged into Magento before showing them certain parts on the site. Keep in mind that this code exists outside of Magento. What am I doing wrong here? Is there an option in Magento that I need to turn on or off to be able to access this information outside of Magento?

  So today I downloaded Apache Commons Lang library (binary, zip format). I extracted it to C:\eclipse\commons-lang-2.5 folder. There are a commons-lang-2.5.jar, a commons-lang-2.5-javadoc.jar, and a commons-lang-2.5-sources.jar inside, and a folder for HTML Javadoc. I started Eclipse, added commons-lang-2.5.jar, and set its source and Javadoc respectively as the screenshot below. My question is, is there a convenient or standard way to add external libraries? Or am I actually doing the right thing?

  Hey all. I'm working on an application that was originally intended for HTML, but I've recently concluded that the best thing to do for my purposes is to do it in Flash instead. One of the big things I need is to be able to bring in movieclips from external files and add them to my main movie at runtime (dynamic number of elements, skinning, etc.) Don't need full-on code for this, but I could use some assistance in tracking down the resources to learn how to do these things successfully. Tutorials, best practices… The usual suspects. I've been using Flash for a while now, and used to do this pretty easily in AS2, but I've had some hiccups using classes and addchild in an earlier attempt, so any help would be much appreciated. • BlazeDS rejected connection from some IP address

  Hi, I'm using the BlazeDS binary version with Apache tomcat 6.0. And it seems there's a developer mode active and it only allows 3 IPs to connect to the application (Server). This is what the log says: [BlazeDS]MessageBroker '__default__' rejected connection from address 'xxx.xxx.xx.x'; Developer mode addresses already in use: xxx.x.xxx.xx, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, xx.xxx.xxx.xx (IP addresses are masked with 'x' for privacy) I have not added any special configuration to make developer mode active. I couldn't find any resources related to this scenario either. Please help. Thanks in Advance.

  I am using the TCP/IP Adapter for BizTalk Server 2006 which was obtained from codeplex: http://www.codeplex.com/BTSTCPIP Once the application was deployed in production, we started to experience choking in the performance of the application. The more the requests, the more the performance degradation. Sometimes, it happens that the receive ports become non-responsive and we have to forcefully restart the host instances to temporarily let the services respond again but we experience the same problems again and again. I would like to ask if any of you have used the same adapter and have you ever experienced the similar issues? If yes, how can we overcome theses issues. Thanks.

• svn:switch doesn't work with relative svn:external?

  We have a subfolder that is a relative svn external (../project/subfolder). In a fresh trunk checkout it points to (...TRUNK/project/subfolder) and in a fresh branch checkout it points to (...BRANCH/branchName/project/subfolder). But if you do a switch on the project containing the subfolder, the subfolder stays pointing at TRUNK. Alternately if you do a BRANCH checkout and switch to TRUNK it stays pointing at BRANCH. Shouldn't an svn:switch update relative externals? Is there some sort of recursive svn:switch I should be running?

  I'm using JavaScript to load an image into my Canvas element in Firefox. This works fine for local images, but throws a security exception for external images. Is there any way to avoid this security exception, one that does not involve my server having to act as proxy to load the image locally (because that would stress my server)? • Determine IP# of domain from client browser

  Greetings all, I would very much like to determine the IP# of a domain from client script. It's for use in a testing application to determine whether or not a certain domain is set to a QA address as opposed to the address live on the . The testing machine will have it's host file set to resolve a domain to the QA address. Pinging from the server won't help since the server is getting the public DNS address. Is this possible in JavaScript? Maybe a Flash could do the trick?

  Here is my problem. I made a class with a member function declared as const that uses an external function that I cannot modify (declared in someone else's code) and that is not declared const. More precisely Someone else's code class B { public: void foo(); }; My code class A : public B { public: void bar() const { this->foo(); } }; I know that for member data we can force const-correctness by using mutable or const_cast. How can I 'hack' foo such that my compiler understands that I would like to use it as if it was const even if it is not declared in someone else's code ?

  Hi all... I've a vb.net class that is invoked with a context menu extension in Internet Explorer. The code has access to the object model of the page, and reading data is not a problem. This is the code of a test funcion... it changes the status bar text (OK), prints the page html (OK), changes the html by adding a text and prints again the page html (ok, in the second popup my added text is in the html) But the Internet Explorer window doesnt't show it. • Get a CSS value from external style sheet with Javascript/jQuery

  Is it possible to get a value from the external CSS of a page if the element that the style refers to has not been generated yet? (the element is to be generated dynamically). The jQuery method I've seen is $('element').css('property','value');, but this relies on element being on the page. Is there a way of finding out what the property is set to within the CSS rather than the computed style of an element? Will I have to do something ugly like add a hidden copy of the element to my page so that I can access its style attributes?

I am using communication between 2 Windows Server 2008 R2. The client and the server are coded using c#. I tryed using tcpclnt.SendBufferSize = 100000; tcpclnt.Client.DontFragment = true; and the same at the server. I also tried configuring the window size of the server(editing the registry).

• How to free an Oracle Object-Type passed to an external procedure

The problem I have is that I don't know how to somehow mark the object for deallocation once extproc has done marshalling it. The object remains in extproc's memory forever making it grow in memory consumtion. • Replacing TCP/IP pipe with WCF

  So currently my company is using a TCP/IP connection to talk between server and client programs, right now we are building this connection using System.RunTime.Remoting, which is clunky and not that reliable. It was built about 5 years ago and the model keeps getting reused and it's starting to propagate some issues, ports used, refused connections, etc. I'm trying to find some resources on how to change this over to WCF but I'm not really sure what I am looking for or what I should be searching. • Organization of linking to external libraries in C++

  In a cross-platform (Windows, FreeBSD) C++ project I'm working on, I am making use of two external libraries, Protocol Buffers and ZeroMQ. In both projects, I am tracking the latest development branch, so these libraries are recompiled / replaced often. For a development scenario, where is the best place to keep libprotobuf.{a,lib} and zeromq.{so,dll}? Should I have my build script copy them from their respective project directories into my local project's directory (say MyProjectRoot/lib or MyProjectRoot/bin) before I build my project? This seems preferable to tossing things into /usr/local/lib, as I wouldn't want to replace a system-wide stable version with the latest experimental one. Cmake warns me whenever I specify a relative path for linking, so I would suspect copying is a better solution then relative linking? Is this the best approach? Thanks for your help!

When not required (data is not sensitive), I'd like to avoid using SSL for overhead reasons (both in handshake latency and conserving cycles). My question is, what is the best practices way of transmitting authentication information over an unencrypted connection? Currently, I'm liking SRP or J-PAKE (they generate secure session tokens, are hash/salt friendly, and allow kicking into TLS when necessary), which I believe are both implemented in OpenSSL. However, I am a bit wary since I don't see many people using these algorithms for this purpose. Would also appreciate pointers to any materials discussing this topic in general, since I had trouble finding any.

  Hi, I am using an external asp page (On the company's server - not related to me beside the fact that I'm using it for my job). The asp page has one query in it, I'm writing something in it and it gives me some information. In the information there is a certain line with constant header (let's assume 'HEADER'), I want to build an HTA that pulls the line that contains 'HEADER' to my HTA and display only this line. • Want to set 'src' of script to my IP.

  I have a script that links to the server I am hosting (IP can change) usually I would just use for links: var url ='http://' + window.location.hostname + 'end of url'; But in this case it isnt appearing to be so easy. I have tried: (1) $('#scriptid').attr('src', url); as well as: (2) var script = document.createElement( 'script' ); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = url; $("#insert").append( script ); Now case (2) works loads the script runs the script. But when at the end of my script it hits the 'write data' it decides to replace the entire page with just the data. Any idea on how I can do this?
