• Reporting Services Error 401: Unauthorized

  I am trying to setup reporting services on a SQL server 2008 and get this error message when I try to connect to the http://localhost/reports The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized. I asked the server administrator and the IIS should be running (can't find it under administrative tools though) I used the Reporting Services Configuration manager to setup reporting services and am pretty sure it is setup correct.

• How do I install informix odbc on windows server 2003/2008?

  I installed the informix client sdk on my pc (32 bit) and on the server, I could create an odbc connection on my pc easily, but on both windows 2003 and 2008 (64 bit) I can't. I don't know if there is a 64 bit sdk, maybe this is the issue. But I haven't found what to do. I need to use odbc since using the sdk by itself hangs IIS, and according to this post http://forums.asp.net/p/1269896/2425034.aspx#2425034 the solution is to use odbc. thanks

• Can't find Role Services in Windows 7

  I'm trying to install PHP on Windows 7 Home Premium using these instructions: Using FastCGI to Host PHP Applications on IIS 7 and a 1/3 of the way down on the page I have to do this: Server Manager -> Roles -> Add Role Services and just cannot find Roles or Role Services. Any ideas? PHP is giving me a 500 error and I'm wondering if it's because I haven't done this role services thing.

My question is: Is it possible to change the default folder location i.e. C:\inetpub\temp\appPools for ApplicationPoolIdentity?

• Missing HDD space - says 65GB used, selecting all folders shows 30GB used

  Hi Running Windows Server 2008, 74GB raptor drive and noticed we only had about 500MB left - yikes! So deleted some old backups we don't need, but can't track down where about 30GB seems to be taken up. If I go to C: and select all folders and go to properties, this comes to around 30GB but in My Computer I can see 65GB is used. How can I find out whats eating the space? Just IIS + MSSQL Express + Smartermail on the server

• Simple issue regarding date formats.

  We are hosting a website that when browsed to locally loads up fine but if you browse to it externally you get Conversion from string "1/15/2010 8:46:01 AM" to type 'Date' is not valid. What do I change on the server to fix this. When browsing the site on the server it works, although I am logged into the server as a different user to that in IIS. Looking through the IIS logs, I have noticed that there are some IP addresses repeatedly requesting certain URLs (such as for example /mysql/phpmyadmin/main.php, /phpadmin/main.php) which do not exist, as the site is entirely served off of ASP.NET. They are obviously fishing for known vulnerabilities. My question is, are there any firewall or other tools (Windows built-in or commercial) that allow me to block those IP addresses which request certain URLs multiple times?

  We have a CMS that enables users to upload images and flashes to their site. Sometimes the filenames are in Hebrew. In our development server there is no problem, but in our production server we get a 404 error when the filename ends with Hebrew characters.
