  • Posting to an Open Graph page

    Hello all, I've got a open graph page with a like button, activity feed, etc. I want to be able to post programmatically. The open graph docs says it's possible via the old stream.publish api. I've got a meta tag pointing to my facebook application, but the stream publish api doesn't seem to be able to post. This is what i'm posting via the api: { message='Hello facebook', target_id='ID via curl 'https://graph.facebook.com/?ids', 'uid'='application_id' } I keep getting: "error_code":101,"error_msg":"Invalid API key" What am I missing?   • Multiple Forms on the Same Page with Rails

    So I'm building a rails app for high school students and I've hit a problem when it comes to creating users. I want the students to only be able to create accounts if they select their school and type in their school's password correctly. What is the correct / easiest way of doing this? Should I create a gatekeeper to the user#new action that they have to pass first or if their a way that on the same page a student can submit to forms. One would be the regular username, email, password using: form_for @user do ... end But then creating another form for the high-school / high-school password selection. Ideally the controller would be able to get the params of the high-school form, validate those, then go on to create the user from the user params. Is this possible using rails? My setup: Rails 3 and Ruby 1.9.2dev Thank you!

  • jQuery Cycle plugin: One pager to control multiple slideshow on a page

    Hi there, I have a cycle plugin set up on a page (images) with a pager to control the horizontal slide. My issue is that there is a transparent overlay that needs to sit over part of the images for some text relating to each image but would rather have that with a different transition effect for this so it doesn't slide in from the left. Am I able to set up to slideshows, each with 3 pieces of related content, that I can position correctly and have them controlled with the one pager?   • Page doesn't un-cache itself in ASP.NET C#

    Hi, I sometimes find that I need to press CTRL+REFRESH BUTTON (or simply REFRESH BUTTON) in order for pages to be updated. I thought this may have been a problem with using AJAX Update Panel and things, but it also happens on pages where there is no AJAX partial rendering. I have also removed if(!isPostBack), and yet still I need to refresh the page for the contents to be updated. Is it to do with the cache? Does anyone know of a fix for this? I believe it only happens with IE 7 (which I am using). I tried the same feature with Chrome, and it worked as it is supposed to.

    Here is my example: I have a a website that contains the following: <body> Jim Nebraska zipcode 65437 Tony lives in California his zipcode is 98708 </body> I would like to be able to search for zip codes on the page and wrap them with hyperlinks like: <body> Jim Nebraska zipcode <a href="/65437.htm">65437</a> Tony lives in California his zipcode is <a href="/65437.htm">98708</a> </body> Could I use a regex selector to find the string and then wrap the string, or replace it with the new hyperlink? I have many similar methods in a servlet. And I have many servlets too. If I want to disable cache throughout the application, what should I do?     Hello. Let's say I have a link in "index.php", when I click on that link, it loads, via ajax, a content from a page "content.php" into a div element in "index.php", that has an id of "#content". That content in "content.php" has large images. I want to display an image loader, say "ajax-loader.gif", instead of those large images, until the images are downloaded by client. ( I know how to have an image loader .gif for the images on "index.php". ) How can I achieve this?

    I'm using the MVVM pattern to create a WPF standalone application. My program compiles in Visual Studio 2008, but I frequently get warnings in the editor for my DataTemplates. In my MainWindow.xaml, I've defined the following DataTemplate: <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type ViewModels:TagViewModel}"> <Views:TagView /> </DataTemplate> Where "TagView" is derived from a Page, rather than an ordinary UserControl. This causes the following message to appear every time I reload the designer in Visual Studio: "Could not create an instance of type 'TagView'. Yet the solution compiles fine and the program seems to work properly. Is this a bug in the Visual Studio 2008 editor? Or am I doing something wrong?

I know using @media print in CSS, PDF based solution or iTextSharp but they are not really easy (except @media print) but alignment is little tricky if receipt contains barcodes or if I have to format for A5 etc., Is there anything new in HTML5 which will support this? I would like to print receipts from a Django based webapplication. Any tips? Thanks.

  • Filtering custom fields on wordpress admin page

    I'm currently working on a wordpress 2.9.2 plugin (my first) that creates additional custom fields that will later be read from the template. The plugin adds an additional meta box to the "Edit Post" screen which is responsible for manipulating these values. My problem is that the custom fields generated by the plugin also show up in the "Custom Fields" box. Ideally I would like for the custom fields generated by the plugin to be managed separately from any other custom fields for that same post/page. Is there a way that I can filter fields specific to my plugin to prevent them from being displayed in the "Custom Fields" box? I have yet to locate any action or filter that will let me capture and manipulate those values before they are rendered on "Edit Post".

    Hi, I want to display a table and a image side by side. i.e Left side the image and right side the table. I want this because the image is the reference image for the data present in the table. I want that output in pdf. So I am using QTextDocument, QTextCursor and QPrinter to get the output in pdf. So how it is possible to display the image and table in QtextDocument i.e within a single page of the pdf? I am using Qt 4.5.3 and Windows Xp. Any pointers regarding this are welcome.

  • Make jQuery-ui draggable handle cover entire page

    What would be the best way to make an element draggable when clicking anywhere in the window? Would I have to use a container <div> that covers the whole window? I tried making the body draggable but that didn't work. The problem with using a container <div> is that it moves and therefore doesn't cover the whole of the screen any more after it has been dragged. What about making a really vast container <div> that spans a large number of pixels in every direction so you would never get to the edge of it. Is that a bad idea? The idea (simplified) is to have a page with a square in the middle that can be dragged by dragging any part of the window. Here's a wonderfully unnecessary mockup :)

AuthName "Myfolder" AuthType Basic AuthUserFile url/protect/.htpasswd Require valid-user Also created a .htpassword file which contain username:password When I run my URL http://localhost/url/protect, I got a pop up asking username and password, I entered username as username and password as password. After that I got an error page "server error 500" "The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there was an error in a CGI script. If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster." Why this happened?. Any thing wrong here? Anything needs to see my pages under the folder. Please give me the answer.

    Hello, I was searching for a way of detecting in my C# code if the page had been refreshed (f5). First I don’t know if a jQuery/JavaScript solution would be better than a fully C# ASP.Net.     I have created a Web Control in ASP for use in integrating with Telligent CommunityServer. The control is written in ASP with some 10 lines of C# backend for controlling visibility of the UI elements based on permissions, but I'd say 90% of the functionality is straight-up Javascript. The control works beautifully, until you drop two instances of the Control on the same page--since they reference the exact same Javascript functions, only one control works. How can I take this functionality that I have, this 1200 lines of Javascript, and make it so that each instance of the control can reference its each unique instance of Javascript?

I've used response.redirect("Thankyou.aspx") a lot in the past I've also used something like this for hiding form controls and outputting a message: outResult.Attributes.Remove("style") outResult.Attributes.Add("style", "display:block;") outEntry.Attributes.Remove("style") outEntry.Attributes.Add("style", "display:none;") For the above you have to consider post backs that may occur if the user click refresh though. Does anybody have a better option? thanks!

    I'm hitting a wall here while trying to access items from Magento on an external page (same server, same domain, etc, etc). I want to see if the user is logged into Magento before showing them certain parts on the site. Keep in mind that this code exists outside of Magento. Mage::app("default"); Mage::getSingleton("core/session", array("name" = "frontend")); if (empty($session)) { $session = Mage::getSingleton("customer/session"); } if($session-isLoggedIn()) echo "hi"; $cart = Mage::helper('checkout/cart')-getCart()-getItemsCount(); echo $cart; $cart returns 0, where I definitely have products in my cart. isLoggedIn() also returns false. What am I doing wrong here? Is there an option in Magento that I need to turn on or off to be able to access this information outside of Magento?
