I've created a handful of modules before, one on the admin page at the dashboard that is on the right side that you click to expand/collapse. So, can I create a module that I could attach to any new article form on the right side, somewhere under "advanced settings" or something? Thanks.

• popView from UITabBarController inside UINavigationController

  Hi, I'm building an application based on the Utility template from Xcode, to which I have added some more views. My application structure would be as follows: MainView (the app menu) Flip-side view (a calculator) UINavigationController Settings view viewDiDLoad: UITabBarController - Tab1 view (options) - Tab2 view (information text) I can navigate correctly from my MainView to my Flip-side view, which is also the root view of the Navigation Controller. From my Flip-side view, I push a second view of my Navigation Controller (Settings view) that is configured to show an UITabBarController, with two tabs, as soon as it loads (with viewDidLoad). If I remove the UITabBarController, I can return with no problems to my Flip-side view using "popViewController" from my Settings view. The problem comes if I load the UITabBarController in viewDiDLoad in my Settings view... the tabs work perfectly, but I'm not able to return to my Flip-side view (root view of the Navigation Controller) anymore. I CAN return if I use the Navigation Bar of the Navigation Controller, but I want to configure my own buttons and have the Navigation Bar hidden. So far I've tried the following methods: [self.navigationController popViewControllerAnimated:YES]; [self.navigationController popToRootViewControllerAnimated:YES]; [self.navigationController popToViewController:FlipSideViewController animated:YES]; But they don't seem to work. The first two just do nothing (the screen remains as it was), and the third one does not recognize the "FlipsideViewController" (maybe because it's a delegate of the MainViewController?). Is there a way to check what is exactly doing the "back" button of the Navigation Bar if I activate it? Should I be using delegates? Can I call a popViewController method in my Settings view from any of the two Tab views? • URL Rewrite is adding HTTPS to my canonical redirects in IIS7

It appears that I am being redirected to https://www.mydomain.com/ which causes my browser to hang. I do not have SSL encryption turned on, nor do I have any special authorization rules. The web server in question is behind an F5 load balancer. Any ideas?

• UISplitView: how to access instance?

But sometimes, for example when an item is tapped, my left side must manually set the view controller on the right side. Where is the best place to store the split view controller instance? Pass it around to each view controller on the left side, like I do with the navigation controller? Store it in my App Delegate and then access it via a property with [[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate].splitView?

• IIS7 URL Rewrite for URL with &rsquo;

  I'm trying to redirect the following URL in IIS7 using the URL Rewrite module: Category/Cat-3/Objectives-of-Pre-Maintenance/WHAT&rsquo;S-THE-STORY-ON-LOW-CARB-DIETS-AND-EXERCISE-.aspx but for the life of me I can not get it. I tried replacing the &rsquo; with an actual single quote, and that worked fine! But for the purpose of this redirect, I need the HTML code for the quote, and not the quote itself.   In my setup I can redirect the default gateway based on the source address. Let's say a user is connected through tun0 (10.2.0.0/16) is redirect to another vpn. That works fine! ip rule add from 10.2.0.10 lookup vpn1 In a second rule I redirect the default gateway to another gateway if the user access a certain ip adress: ip rule add from 10.2.0.10 to 94.142.154.71 lookup vpn2 If I access the page on 94.142.154.71 (myip.is) the user is correctly routed and I can see the ip of the second vpn. On any other pages the ip address of vpn1 is shown. But how do I tell iproute2 that all request at e. g. google.com should be redirected through vpn2?

• Sorting emails with no To: tags in Outlook

  Lately people at work have been sending with mailing lists in blind copies instead of just sending to the mailing lists. I think the intent is to prevent people from accidentally replying to all, but it means that these emails aren't sorted into their proper folders when they arrive. I'd like to at least be able to sort them into a common folder, but these emails arrive with no "To:" line in the headers. I'm using Outlook 2007, and I can't figure out a way to use their built-in rule editor to create a rule that sorts these emails. Is there a plugin that will allow me to sort emails like this, or a better rule editor? Updated: I know this is very old, but this is still very annoying to me. Is there any way to sort these kinds of emails to their own folder?

  I'd like to create a JTree that more or less has the following structure (with a hidden root node) [No Option] Main Dish [Radio Button] Steak [Radio Button] Fish [Radio Button] Filet Mignon [Checkbox] Side Dish [Checkbox] Mashed Potatoes [Checkbox] Green Beans [Checkbox] Mixed Vegetables [Checkbox] Dessert [Radio Button] Ice Cream [Radio Button] Pudding [Radio Button] Cake Basically, at least one main dish (but no more than one) can be chosen, any number of side dishes can be chosen (or none, if the "Side Dish" checkbox is unchecked), and only one dessert can be chosen (or none, if the "Dessert" checkbox is unchecked). This article describes how to create a tree that uses JCheckboxes (as I'd like to use for the Side Dish and Dessert sections) by creating a custom Renderer and page 3 of the same article describes how to use Radio buttons (as I'd like to use for the Main Course) section. But it doesn't describe how to mix them up within the same JTree. Is it possible to create a structure like this? And if so, how?

• Posting xml from classic asp to asp.net

  I apologize if this has been asked before. I searched and didn't find anything that matched my situation. Also bear in mind I am fairly new to asp/asp.net development. My current project is a relatively simple e-commerce site. The customer will connect to the site, select products, input shipping and billing information, payment information (credit card) and submit the order. The project is being split into two parts: The store front which includes displaying the items and taking the customer's shipping and billing information and the payment site which will collect the customers credit card, compute tax, and save the order into the company's system. The reason that the site was split up, was that our side (payment side) already has facilities for credit card handling and tax computation. There may also be some regulatory issues that the store front side does not want to deal with (which we already do). I'm working on the payment portion of the app and I am using asp.net. The store front side is being written in classic asp (not my decision). Each part will be hosted on different servers. The problem I am having is transferring the contents of the "shopping cart" to our app so that we can collect the cc info and submit the order. We had thought that the classic asp could somehow post an xml fragment which contains the billing/shipping info and the items selected. Our side would display a summary of the order, securely collect the credit card info, and submit the order to our system. But I have been unable to post or send the xml from a classic asp on one server, to our asp.net application on another. It all works just fine when I test on the same server. How can I post (or otherwise transfer) the shopping cart data from classic asp to asp.net across server boundaries and transfer control to the asp.net application? As I said, I am new to web development, so this is proving quite a challenge for me. Thanks

  Regarding data validation, I've heard that the options are to "fail fast, fail early" or "complete validation". The first approach fails on the very first validation error, whereas the second one builds up a list of failures and presents it. I'm wondering about this in the context of both server-side and client-side data validation. Which method is appropriate in what context, and why? My personal preference for data-validation on the client-side is the second method which informs the user of all failing constraints. I'm not informed enough to have an opinion about the server-side, although I would imagine it depends on the business logic involved.

• Red-Black trees - Erasing a node with two non-leaf children

  Hi all, I've been implementing my own version of a red-black tree, mostly basing my algorithms from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red-black_tree). Its fairly concise for the most part, but there's one part that I would like clarification on. When erasing a node from the tree that has 2 non-leaf (non-NULL) children, it says to move either side's children into the deletable node, and remove that child. I'm a little confused as to which side to remove from, based on that. Do I pick the side randomly, do I alternate betweek sides, or do I stick to the same side for every future deletion?

My understanding is (correct me then and there) 1 ) MVC does not support server side events ,but supports client side events.if it supports client side events,i need html page with jQuery/Javascript (view),but most of the example i absorbed is to display the information(model) in view ,i did not see any client side event handling happens in view. 2) Except ViewState and controlState,MVC supports Sessions,Application State management,Cache management. 3) When request goes to MVC engine ,the routing module routes the request that is picked up by the controller.The controller in executes the appropriate action and return the appropriate view.

• How can I highlight empty fields in ASP.NET MVC 2 before model binding has occurred?

  I'm trying to highlight certain form fields (let's call them important fields) when they're empty. In essence, they should behave a bit like required fields, but they should be highlighted if they are empty when the user first GETs the form, before POST & model validation has occurred. The user can also ignore the warnings and submit the form when these fields are empty (i.e. empty important fields won't cause ModelState.IsValid to be false). Ideally it needs to work server-side (empty important fields are highlighted with warning message on GET) and client-side (highlighted if empty when losing focus). I've thought of a few ways of doing this, but I'm hoping some bright spark can come up with a nice elegant solution... Just use a CSS class to flag important fields Update every view/template to render important fields with an important CSS class. Write some jQuery to highlight empty important fields when the DOM is ready and hook their blur events so highlights & warning messages can be shown/hidden as appropriate. Pros: Quick and easy. Cons: Unnecessary duplication of importance flags and warning messages across views & templates. Clients with JavaScript disabled will never see highlights/warnings. Custom data annotation and client-side validator Create classes similar to RequiredAttribute, RequiredAttributeAdapter and ModelClientValidationRequiredRule, and register the adapter with DataAnnotationsModelValidatorProvider.RegisterAdapter. Create a client-side validator like this that responds to the blur event. Pros: Data annotation follows DRY principle (Html.ValidationMessageFor<T> picks up field importance and warning message from attribute, no duplication). Cons: Must call TryValidateModel from GET actions to ensure empty fields are decorated. Not technically validation (client- & server-side rules don't match) so it's at the mercy of framework changes. Clients with JavaScript disabled will never see highlights/warnings. Clone the entire validation framework It strikes me that I'm trying to achieve exactly the same thing as validation but with warnings rather than errors. It needs to run before model binding (and therefore validation) has occurred. Perhaps it's worth designing a similar framework with annotations like Required, RegularExpression, StringLength, etc. that somehow cause Html.TextBoxFor<T> etc. to render the warning CSS class and Html.ValidationMessageFor<T> to emit the warning message and JSON needed to enable client-side blur checks. Pros: Sounds like something MVC 2 could do with out of the box. Cons: Way too much effort for my current requirement! I'm swaying towards option 1. Can anyone think of a better solution?

  I need to create a Print Server Port via commandline in Windows 8 Per Google search I should be using prnport.vbs script to do so: cscript c:\Windows\System32\Printing_Admin_Scripts\en-US\prnport.vbs -a -s \\192.168.113.253 -r Xerox_192.168.113.253 However I get this error: ** Unable to connect to WMI service Error 0x800706BA The RPC Server is unavailable. ** I looked at local services and both RPC and WMI services are started . Also I made sure add remote admin rule to Windows Firewall via command line without success!: netsh advfirewall firewall set rule group="windows management instrumentation (wmi)" new enable=yes netsh advfirewall firewall set rule group="remote administration" new enable=yes NOTE: If I use the GUI to create the print server port then add the printer via command line: rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /if /b "Xerox WorkCenter 7535" /F C:\Windows\Inf\WC7545-7556_PCL6_x64_Driver\x2DNORX.inf /r "Xerox_192.168.113.253" /m "Xerox WorkCentre 7535 PCL6" THE PRINTER IS SUCCESSFULLY ADDED. • iptables: matching multiple ip addresses

  Hi guys, I am working on a iptables rule to apply after my shorewall script has initialized my firewall. I want a spicific IP (10.0.1.19) address in my lan to be redirected to 10.0.64.1 except if it is going to paypal. I have the following rule, and that works like a charm iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING ! -d 1.2.3.4 -s 10.0.1.19 -j DNAT --to 10.0.64.1 My problem is that paypal uses multiple ip addresses, and I am not allowed to have multiple IP-addresses. https://ppmts.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/ppdts.cfg/php/enduser/std%5Fadp.php?p%5Ffaqid=92 On top of this problem I would like to know how to remove the rule again, without having to restart shorewall.   I have a user request to be able to create a rule that would move an email in outlook 2003 that the user flagged for follow up to a specific folder. That seemed simple enough till he requested that depending on the flag color they were to be moved to a specific folder. Issue is that in outlook 2003 that's not an option when creating a rule. I know that this is very straight forward in outlook 2007 and 2010 and using the categories feature is very convenient as it displays as a list when you right click.... Though in 2003 categories are not so convenient. as an example the user will flag for follow up as so... Red Flag for sales Blue Flag for requests Green Flag for personal They want a rule that will move all items with a red flag to the sales folder, Green flag to the requests folder and so on....
