  • 'Out of Memory exception' in sql server 2005 xml column

    Hi All, I am devloping a windows forms application and am using sql server 2005 database as my backend. I am having an xml column in my database. I am using ultrawingrid control in my application.I obtain the xml of the dataset which is bound to my ultrawingrid control and pass that as a parameter value to the stored procedure where am inserting this value into the xml column which I specified. The columns in my grid are dynamic and hence there can be any no of columns in my grid. I got 'out of memory' exception in the dataset.GetXml() statement since there were more no of columns I believe.So, what I did is that I used dataset.WriteXml() method and stored all the xml contents into an xml file, loaded the xml file into the XmlDocument object and then passed the xmlnodereader as the value to the stored procedure parameter.Now, while executing the stored procedure am getting the same 'out of memory' exception. How could I resolve this issue?

The following WSDL for the parameters is being generated: <s:element minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" name="url" type="s:string" /> <s:element minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" name="list" type="s:string" /> <s:element minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" name="query" type="s:string" /> <s:element minOccurs="1" maxOccurs="1" name="noOfItems" type="s:int" /> <s:element minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" name="titleField" type="s:string" /> Why does the int parameter have minOccurs set to 1 instead of 0 and how do I change it? I've tried using [XmlElementAttribute(IsNullable=false)] in the parameter declaration without success.

    I have a Table Type defined in a database. It is used as a table-valued parameter in a stored procedure. I would like to call this procedure from another database, and in order to pass the parameter, I need to reference this defined type. But when I do DECLARE @table dbOtherDatabase.dbo.TypeName , it tells me that The type name 'dbOtherDatabase.dbo.TypeName' contains more than the maximum number of prefixes. The maximum is 1. How could I reference this table type?

  • Is there a programming language that performs currying when named parameters are omitted?

    Many functional programming languages have support for curried parameters. To support currying functions the parameters to the function are essentially a tuple where the last parameter can be omitted making a new function requiring a smaller tuple. I'm thinking of designing a language that always uses records (aka named parameters) for function parameters. Thus simple math functions in my make believe language would be: add { left : num, right : num } = ... minus { left : num, right : num } = .. You can pass in any record to those functions so long as they have those two named parameters (they can have more just "left" and "right"). If they have only one of the named parameter it creates a new function: minus5 :: { left : num } -> num minus5 = minus { right : 5 } I borrow some of haskell's notation for above. Has any one seen a language that does this?

  • Set Java Application's virtual machine max memory without access to VM parameters because of custom

    I'm using a Java application which allows you to import custom files. On import, these files are loaded into memory. The problem is that the files I want to import are very big, this causes an OutOfMemory exception. The crash log also informs me that the VM was started with the java parameter "-Xmx512m", I want to alter this to "-Xmx1024m" so that I got double the memory available. The problem is that this application is using it's own JRE folder and that there's a launcher written in C which is calling the jvm.dll file. In any way, java.exe or javaw.exe are never called and thus I cannot set these parameters myself (if I delete these executables it doesn't matter, can still run the application - this is not the case with the dll). So, my question is, can I set this VM parameter in an other way? I'm even willing to alter the JRE files if there is no other way.

  • Keyboard shortcut for Jump to Definition

    I'm looking for a keyboard only shortcut for Jump to Definition. The built-in shortcut requires the mouse: Cmd + Double click. I've tried to add a regular keyboard shorcut for the Edit / Find / Jump to Defintion menu command, but, alas, it will only work when the method name is selected. I'd like to be able to position the cursor within the method name, class name, or other symbol, and hit something like Cmd+Shift+L. Does anyone know of a solution, perhaps using a script, for the problem? Update: The keyboard shortcut works sometimes and sometimes not. When I position the text cursor on a method call with no parameters and press Cmd+Shift+L it takes me to the definition. But it doesn't work for a method that takes an (id) parameter. However it works if the parameter is an int. I have submitted a bug report to Apple.

  • Why do SQL connection leave parameters in?

    While coding with sqlite everytime i always had the exact number of parameters and when i executed the query i always had 0 parameters after it. I kept using the cmd object and it worked fine. Now while porting to use sql server (2008) my SqlConnection has parameters left over from a successful command. Why? I seem to be able to create tables without the problem (then again i may have use a clone of an empty cmd since i use recursion). Does SqlCommand always leave the parameters in after a query? This always breaks the following query unless i do parameter.clear(). Should i create a new SqlCommand object? or use parameter.clear() each time? I'm somewhat confused.

While some request message come from the client socket, the server emulator will response the client through the socket. the response is response code. '00' will describe request message processed successfully, and another response code expect '00' will describe there are some error while processing the message request. IN the server there are some UI, this UI contain check response parameter such as. response code timeout interval While the server want to response the client message, the response code taken from input parameter response form UI check the timeout interval, it will create sleep thread and the interval taken from timeout interval input from UI. I have implement the function, but I create it in one class. I feel it so sucks. Can you suggest me what class / interface that I must create to refactor my code.

    I have a bit of code that I have been tasked with converting to C# from VB. A snippet of mine seems like it cannot be converted from one to the other, and if so, I just don't know how to do it and am getting a little frustrated. Here's some background: OrderForm is an abstract class, inherited by Invoice (and also PurchaseOrder). The following VB snippet works correctly: Dim Invs As List(Of OrderForm) = GetForms(theOrder.OrderID) .... Dim inv As Invoice = Invs.Find( Function(someInv As Invoice) thePO.SubPONumber = someInv.SubInvoiceNumber) In C#, the best I came to converting this is: List<OrderForm> Invs = GetForms(theOrder.OrderID); .... Invoice inv = Invs.Find( (Invoice someInv) => thePO.SubPONumber == someInv.SubInvoiceNumber); However, I get the following error when I do this: Cannot convert lambda expression to delegate type 'System.Predicate' because the parameter types do not match the delegate parameter types Is there any way to fix this without restructuring my whole codebase?

    I have 2 scenarios. This fails: class F<X> { public X X { get; set; } } error CS0102: The type 'F' already contains a definition for 'X' This works: class F<X> { class G { public X X { get; set; } } } The only logical explanation is that in the second snippet the type parameter X is out of scope, which is not true... Why should a type parameter affect my definitions in a type? IMO, for consistency, either both should work or neither should work. Any other ideas? PS: I call it 'lexical', but it probably is not not the correct term.

  • Problem with Silverlight/wpf in scrolling html div.

    Hi all, I have a Silverlight object sitting at the bottom of a scrollable div. This object is submitted to a wcf backend via a javascript button. The problem is, as the silverlight is at the bottom of the scrollable div it is not viewable until you have scrolled down. This is generating an error when the javascript button is clicked ( if i havent scrolled down ) awfully strange, or am i just an idiot :/ if i scroll down so the silverlight object, so it is in view it submits just fine. The error i got is an alert type error which says : The parameter value must be greater than zero. Parameter name: pixelWidth This seems to be returned from the wcf service. What could cause this?     I'm learning to apply MVP to a simple WinForms app (only one form) in C# and encountered an issue while creating the main presenter in static void Main(). Is it a good idea to expose a View from the Presenter in order to supply it as a parameter to Application.Run()? Currently, I've implemented an approach which allows me to not expose the View as a property of Presenter: static void Main() { IView view = new View(); Model model = new Model(); Presenter presenter = new Presenter(view, model); presenter.Start(); Application.Run(); } The Start and Stop methods in Presenter: public void Start() { view.Start(); } public void Stop() { view.Stop(); } The Start and Stop methods in View (a Windows Form): public void Start() { this.Show(); } public void Stop() { // only way to close a message loop called // via Application.Run(); without a Form parameter Application.Exit(); } The Application.Exit() call seems like an inelegant way to close the Form (and the application).   • nginx rule to capture header and append value as query string

    I have an interesting problem I need to solve in nginx: one of the sites I'm building receives inbound traffic on port 80 (and only port 80) which may have a certain header set in the request. If this header is present I need to capture the value of it and append that as a querystring parameter before doing a temporary redirect (rewrite) to a different (secure) server, while passing the paramater and any other querystring params along.     Hello guys, so, currently I develop Widgets for Smartphones and am going a bit more advanced into fields of data exchange between client and server applications. But if it gets onto the device (also with access to the target network) I receive the 101 Network Error. And as far as I have read, this is due to the "Same-Origin Policy" of XmlHttpRequests? My problem is to really understand that. Although the idea of this policy is clear to me, I'm a bit confused by the fact that another XmlHttpRequest for a Yahoo Weather XML Feed works fine. Now, could anyone be so helpful to enlighten me?     What's the simplest API to use in scala to perform the following XPath queries on a document? //s:Annotation[@type='attitude']/s:Content/s:Parameter[@role='type' and not(text())] //s:Annotation[s:Content/s:Parameter[@role='id' and not(text())]]/@type The only documentation I can find on Scala's XML libraries has no information on performing complicated real XPath queries. I used to like JDOM for this purpose (in Java), but since JDOM doesn't support generics, it will be painful to work with in Scala. (Other XML libraries for Java have tended to be even more painful in Java, but I admit I don't know the landscape real well.)

    A colleague of mine posted a question on an internal forum which got me thinking about whether this was possible through C#. Basically, he's got an interface as follows: public interface IProvider<T> { T GetT(); } Is it possible to use something that implements that interface as a type parameter to another generic class and have access to the type T without re-specifying it? For example: public class Foo<P> where P : IProvider<T> { P p; T GetInnerT() { return p.GetT(); } } This does not compile, because the type T is not defined and hence can't be used as a parameter for IProvider. Is something like this even possible? Just curious!

How would you recommend getting around the issue so I can get an object from myClass into the textbox in the form?

    Hey, my app parses numerous txt files in a directory that are almost all formatted identically, then inserts the values into columns of my sql db. However, there are a few files that the app has come across where a value is 'blank' instead of '0.0', so the application fails stating that it cannot convert that value to numeric.
