  I would like to get DEJUS rating for my HTML5 game on the Firefox Marketplace, so that I can tell Mozilla to make the game available to users in Brazil. I want the game to be rated as: Livre (general) Can non-Brazilian citizens request ratings from DEJUS? If so, what documents need to be provided, and in which language? • nvidia-package in 12.10 somehow not same like in 12.04 resp. X-lib not complete?

  Not knowing if this has to do with new kernel-update automatic done by ubuntu 12.10 ? it seems that kernel 3.2 in 12.04 has not these problems with nvidia-drivers ? I tried to install the actual google-earth as deb-package with dpkg -i it seems to be no problem, but when I type command: google-earth in terminal, there comes up the report among else: Xlib: extension "NV-GLX" missing on display ":0". Xlib is installed completely and nvidia-driver is de-installed (then reboot) then re-installed again. the report of google-earth stays the same: Xlib: extension "NV-GLX" missing on display ":0". ubuntu 12.04 was working quite good with google-earth. however: bumblebee seems to be taken out of program ? ( or needs to be re-edited ? ) Don't hurry too quick with solution, I can wait !

  I have news based website, in which primary contents include news,image albums and videos. out of these i have copy rights for images and videos are just youtube embedded videos. Coming to news my site is kind of a mashup. It gathers data from various sites and presents them in more user friendly way for quick digestion and access. My problem here is that since the news part of the site can be found from other sites, my site could suffer in search rankings. Is there any solution to this. One thing I thought of is to put disallow on all the news ariticles pages, so google does not crawl them. Will this be helpful to me. When applying to google adsense does google crawl these pages (disallow) also.

• HP dv6-2119tx cant find the built in tv tuner?? Ubuntu 12.10

  Installed Ubuntu 12.10 yesterday and I've been playing around trying to get all the drivers for my dv6. I have taken care of the the graphics card and the sound card which to be honest is not the greatest drivers I have found. Specs are Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 720 @ 1.60GHz with nvidia gt230 My problem atm is the tv tuner card! Ive searched everywhere but i cant even find something to start on. I guess I am still clueless but I really dont know what to do??? I really dont want windows anymore so if anyone could guide me Id really appreciate it. Thanks...

• Installing g77 in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (32bit)

  I am using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (32bit-i386) in my desktop PC. I need g77 compiler for some specific applications. The app can only be installed after having g77 compiler. This specific app is designed based on g77 fortran compiler and can't be used with gfortran which is the standard available compiler in 12.04 LTS. And guide me the procedure to install g77 in 12.04. I have been trying apt-get update & apt-get install g77 after changing the sources.list file. After processing I am able to install g77 but when i try to compile a fortran program, it shows error /usr/bin/ld: cannot find crt1.o: No such file or directory /usr/bin/ld: cannot find crti.o: No such file or directory /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgcc_s collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Please help me. I m struggling a lot to fix this.

  The answer to that is that if you need more than 3 levels of indentation, you're screwed anyway, and should fix your program. What can I deduct from this quote ? On top of the fact that too long methods are hard to maintain, are they hard or impossible to optimize for the compiler ? I don't really understand if this quote encourages better coding practice or is really a mathematical/algorithmic sort of truth... I also read in some C++ optimizing guide that dividing up a program into more function improves its design is a common thing taught at school, but it should be not done too much, since it can turn into a lot of JMP calls (even if the compiler can inline some methods by itself).

  I am a student and have obtained a one year placement at a business that develops an e-commerce system using C#, HTML, WPF, javascript, ASP and more. Although I do have a little bit of knowledge, I find myself being assigned a lot of tasks that are beyond me and even when I ask for help, the response I get is often cryptic to me. I stare at as much code as possible to just try and "throw myself into it" but I often just get lost in the code I like to consider myself a fast learner and I am damn determined to be a good programmer. I would just like to ask if there are some tips for me to catch up as quick as possible? I don't want to be a nuisance and sit here and ask for help 24/7. I just want to crack on!

• No sound into headphones

  I will make it quick : I have no sound in my headphones when they are plugged in on my Asus F200CA running Ubuntu 14.04, but : I have sound in the laptop speakers when the headphones are plugged out. If I boot up my laptop on a Live USB running Ubuntu 14.04, I have sound in the speakers and in the headphones. If I open pavucontrol, I can "see" sound, but I can't hear it. I already did some of the actions listed here. I'm running Ubuntu 14.04, with Unity, and this bug appeared about a week ago.

• CMSs & ERPs for hospital management system

  Hi, What are the best free CMSs or CMS plugins or ERPs or any other free tools available for developing a hospital management system? I want to develop it for a children's hospital run by my father. The hospital is small with two doctors. Currently, everything is done manually on paper. The main entities who will be using the system are: Receptionist, the two doctors, chemist and the medical laboratorist. They will use it majorly for keeping the records of the patient. The patients would not be interacting with the system directly. The system needs to be user friendly and should be easy to learn. I was thinking to develop such a system using a CMS or an ERP or any other free tool. I have used wordpress/drupal in past but never used an ERP.   Those familiar with Scala IDE will know about the great testing environment offered by the Scala Worksheet. You can scribble and scratch, much like in the REPL, but with all the goodness added by the IDE as a whole (refactoring, saving, error checking, etc). When you create a worksheet, it is created with the .sc extension, and also creates a artifact under a hidden directory called .worksheet. This is all fine and dandy, but should one include these in your public .git repositories? People who does not use Scala IDE (or older versions) may find these files confusing. On the other hand, making some of your experiments public to developers who are using Scala IDE, may give them a quick start into experimenting and learning the project.

• Podcast site - Serve audio files with CDN

  I am managing a small podcast website hosted on a shared server. Currently there are only eight or nine episodes, each of which are about 50 MB, so bandwidth is not really an issue at the moment. However, looking forward, would it be feasible to use a "free" CDN like Cloudflare to serve the audio files? If so, how would I set this up? I took a quick look at it before, and it seems you have to have your whole site routed (is that the right term?) through the CDN rather than just specific files or filetypes. I'd like some clarification on this.

• Upgrade from 12.04 to 13.10: Computer won't boot

  I upgraded from 12.04 to 13.10 and my computer boots to a black screen. I hear the drumroll, but there is no functionality after that. I've downloaded a livecd of 12.04 on my other computer, and I changed the BiOS settings to boot from CD/DVD first, but it still does the same thing. I booted advanced options, edited [ro quick splash] to [ro nomodeset] and it started normally. I rebooted the system and it was back to the same junk. What do I need to do while it is operating to make it reliable with every restart? This seems to be a systemic issues with NUMEROUS Ubuntu upgrades, but I haven't read a solution yet. I need some help, please! Thanks.

  I have no previous experience on creating a project for a seller which will use barcode reader. I am trying to put together a small project but I cannot figure out how the pieces should glue together. I will create a sample with Motorola Scanner SDK to read barcodes and from that point, I have couple of questions: How UPC barcodes work in general? AFAIK, a barcode stores the manufacturer and product info but no price data. Should I store price information inside a database which corresponds to barcode data? I would really appreciate if you can guide me here.

  A newbie here. I am trying to set up Eclipse for Linux Kernel Programming. The guide says set the project location as the root directory of the kernel. Where's the root directory of the kernel now? According to Linux file hierarchy system, it lists /lib as the root directory for shared libraries and kernel modules. I also see /lib32 and /lib64. However, I tried proceeding selecting /lib as the location and eclipse doesn't allow me to create the project.

  Builtin LCD should be 1440x900 External LCD should be 1920x1080 If X200s is inserted into docking station the option mirror screen is always activated leading to a resolution of 1152x864 which looks terrible on the builtin and external lcd. My manual configuration for docking mode (seperate screens with maximum resolution) should be respected, but "Make Default" button has no consequences.   What should I do to get a site indexed on Google, fast? Taking example of Super User I just did a quick Google for a question that was 20 minutes old, to look for an answer, and it was already on Google Search - how is this possible? I glanced over this article which seems to suggest that SU has added RSS feeds (which SU has, but when I opened the feed the article says last posted 6 minutes ago, but when Googled it is 11 hours old) - which leads me to think (Based on that article, I don't know much about search indexing but I am reading at the moment) that most of this indexing is done thanks to the sitemap. is there anything else I am unaware of that helps SU questions get on Google so fast?
