  • Redirecting a port to a remote server on windows

    - by Chris T
I only have command line access to a server and I'm not allowed to disable the antivirus (which blocks netcat). What I would like to do is have a program that listens on port A and when a remote computer connects to it redirect all input/output of that socket to another server on a different port. Basically a small proxy. Is there anything that will let me do this from command line? If not I could try coding something simple that does this with C++

  • OWA, Outlook Anywhere, RPCPing Inconsistencies

    - by pk.
I'm troubleshooting an Outlook Anywhere issue with a new Exchange 2010 server. The server in question, MS2010, is behind a SonicWALL NSA 2400 device and works wonderfully except for Outlook Anywhere. Outlook Anywhere works internally and I've verified (through Ctrl-Right Click --> Connection Status) that I'm able to connect to MS2010 over HTTPS. When trying to connect to the server using HTTPS from outside the firewall, I'm unable to do so. A Wireshark trace shows 30 or so successful HTTPS packet transmissions, and then it fails with 3 straight transmissions to a destination port of 135. I have no idea why my computer is attempting to access anything on port 135 since I've setup my profile to use HTTPS on both slow and fast connections. I'm 99% certain that the firewall is configured correctly. I run Outlook Web Access (also HTTPS) on the same server and there are no issues with access. EDIT: My Autodiscover settings are correct (as far as I can tell). My server passes the Outlook Anywhere and Autodiscover tests at https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/. I've been using the RPCPing utility to troubleshoot and have come across the following results: Internally- >rpcping -t ncacn_http -s mail.mydomain.com -o RpcProxy=mail.mydomain.com -P "pk,mydomain,*" -I "pk,mydomain,*" -H 1 -u 10 -a connect -F 3 -v 3 -E -R none RPCPing v2.12. • How to tunnel all traffic through Tor?

    - by HappyDeveloper
All I want is be able to use flash and javascript while using Tor (I don't intend to use it for torrents) Normally, using flash with Tor is not recommended because firefox plugins run outside of the sandbox, so the browser's proxy settings don't apply to them, and can reveal your real IP. But I think it should be possible to also redirect flash to the same socket as the browser, and block the other outgoing ports just in case. Any ideas on how to do this?

  • Cisco VPN stops Windows 7 Browsing

    - by Sharjeel Sayed
My browsing and other 'internet' activity (dropbox, digsby etc) halts when I connect to my office VPN using Cisco Systems VPN client Version 5.0.04.0300 on my Windows 7 Ultimate. The only option left for me at this time is to use my office proxy to enable the connection back. I tried doing the ucheck "Use default gateway on remote network" solution as mentioned on a previous post Windows 7 VPN stops web browser but I don't see that option on the properties of "Cisco systems VPN adapter" connection properties. Here is the screenshot

  • Is there a .NET 4.0 offline install?

    - by TrueWill
I'm trying to install .NET 4.0 on some VMs using dotNetFx40_Full_setup.exe and am getting error 0x800C0005. The issue likely involves the firewall/proxy/security configuration. Rather than dealing with that, does Microsoft have an offline install available yet? I've searched but not found one.

  • Pidgin To Shoretel Call Manager IM

    - by ocatenac
Is anyone out there using Pidgin to connect with Shoretel's Instant Messaging? Shoretel 9.2. According to one of the docs I found on Shoretel's website, it should be connecting as a SIMPLE client but so far no dice. It keeps getting an error resolving the server. There's no proxy involved that I know of. I was just wondering if anyone else had this particular configuration and if they'd made it work correctly.

  • Deploying Django App with Nginx, Apache, mod_wsgi

    - by JCWong
    I have a django app which can run locally using the standard development environment. I want to now move this to EC2 for production. The django documentation suggests running with apache and mod_wsgi, and using nginx for loading static files. I am running Ubuntu 12.04 on an Ec2 box. My Django app, "ddt", contains a subdirectory "apache" with ddt.wsgi import os, sys apache_configuration= os.path.dirname(__file__) project = os.path.dirname(apache_configuration) workspace = os.path.dirname(project) sys.path.append(workspace) sys.path.append('/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/django/') sys.path.append('/home/jeffrey/www/ddt/') os.environ['DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE'] = 'ddt.settings' import django.core.handlers.wsgi application = django.core.handlers.wsgi.WSGIHandler() I have mod_wsgi installed from apt. My apache/httpd.conf contains NameVirtualHost *:8080 WSGIScriptAlias / /home/jeffrey/www/ddt/apache/ddt.wsgi WSGIPythonPath /home/jeffrey/www/ddt <Directory /home/jeffrey/www/ddt/apache/> <Files ddt.wsgi> Order deny,allow Allow from all </Files> </Directory> Under apache2/sites-enabled <VirtualHost *:8080> ServerName www.mysite.com ServerAlias mysite.com <Directory /home/jeffrey/www/ddt/apache/> Order deny,allow Allow from all </Directory> LogLevel warn ErrorLog /home/jeffrey/www/ddt/logs/apache_error.log CustomLog /home/jeffrey/www/ddt/logs/apache_access.log combined WSGIDaemonProcess datadriventrading.com user=www-data group=www-data threads=25 WSGIProcessGroup datadriventrading.com WSGIScriptAlias / /home/jeffrey/www/ddt/apache/ddt.wsgi </VirtualHost> If I am correct, these 3 files above should correctly allow my django app to run on port 8080. I have the following nginx/proxy.conf file proxy_redirect off; proxy_set_header Host $host; proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; client_max_body_size 10m; client_body_buffer_size 128k; proxy_connect_timeout 90; proxy_send_timeout 90; proxy_read_timeout 90; proxy_buffer_size 4k; proxy_buffers 4 32k; proxy_busy_buffers_size 64k; proxy_temp_file_write_size 64k; Under nginx/sites-enabled server { listen 80; server_name www.mysite.com mysite.com; access_log /home/jeffrey/www/ddt/logs/nginx_access.log; error_log /home/jeffrey/www/ddt/logs/nginx_error.log; location / { proxy_pass http://127.0.0.1:8080; include /etc/nginx/proxy.conf; } location /media/ { root /home/jeffrey/www/ddt/; } } If I am correct these two files should setup nginx to take requests on the HTTP port 80, but then direct requests to apache which is running the django app on port 8080. If i go to mysite.com, all I see is Welcome to Nginx! Any advice for how to debug this?

  • Millions of SYN_RECV connections, no DDoS

    - by ThomK
We have such server structure: reverse proxy (nginx) - worker (uwsgi) - postgresql / memcached. All servers are in local network behind router, with NATed external ip:ports (http/s 80/443 to proxy, and ssh 22 to all servers). Problem is, that sometimes proxy server netstat reports MILLIONS of SYN_RECV connections. From same IP / same ports. Like that: nginx ~ # netstat -n | grep 83.238.153.195 tcp 0 0 192.168.1.1:80 83.238.153.195:3107 SYN_RECV tcp 0 0 192.168.1.1:80 83.238.153.195:3107 SYN_RECV tcp 0 0 192.168.1.1:80 83.238.153.195:3107 SYN_RECV tcp 0 0 192.168.1.1:80 83.238.153.195:3107 SYN_RECV tcp 0 0 192.168.1.1:80 83.238.153.195:3107 SYN_RECV tcp 0 0 192.168.1.1:80 83.238.153.195:3107 SYN_RECV tcp 0 0 192.168.1.1:80 83.238.153.195:3107 SYN_RECV tcp 0 0 192.168.1.1:80 83.238.153.195:3107 SYN_RECV tcp 0 0 192.168.1.1:80 83.238.153.195:3107 SYN_RECV tcp 0 0 192.168.1.1:80 83.238.153.195:3107 SYN_RECV [...] And this is not DDoS, because all IPs affected belongs to our website users. On side note, users says that it's not affecting them. Website is online and working, but... that particular one (from example above) told me that website is down and Firefox can't connect. I've done tcpdump. 19:42:14.826011 IP 83.238.153.195.zephyr-srv > 192.168.1.1.http: Flags [S], seq 1845850583, win 65535, options [mss 1412,nop,wscale 0,nop,nop,sackOK], length 0 19:42:14.826042 IP • Make Apache Ignore Domains on the Same Server (Ubuntu 9.10). How?

    - by vladikoff
Hello, I'm running Apache on Ubuntu 9.10. I want Apache to ignore certain domains on my server, and let other HTTP servers make full use of them. I've used mod_proxy and other Apache modules to configure the proxy/redirect to certain ports but sometimes that's too much work or doesn't work properly. Example: Server 00.00.000.000 domain1.com:80 - Apache domain2.com:80 - Apache domain3.com:80 - Webrick domain4.com:80 - Jetty Is this possible?

  • How do you set up SSL and Nginx Proxying?

    - by Jason Christa
I have Nginx listening to traffic on port 80 and proxying certain request to Apache over port 8080. I am going to set up Nginx to listen to port 443 for https traffic, but my question is how should the proxying be done now? Does the proxy to Apache need to be https or has Nginx already decoded it so I can keep sending it to Apache over port 8080. BTW, Apache is running with the least amount of modules installed possible and has currently has no SSL related modules, would I need to install any?

  • SIP server ("gateway") for joining accounts

    - by Tomas Srna
Hello, I have a phone supporting 2 accounts, but I need 4 accounts. Is it possible to install some sort of SIP server/gateway/proxy (on a linux server), that would register those 4 accounts and I would be able to connect to it as if it was 1 account? (With dialing rules, etc.) 3 of the accounts have incoming numbers. Thanks. Tomas.

  • How can I troubleshoot Virtualbox port forwarding from Windows guest to OSX host not working?

    - by joe larson
There are a plethora of questions about virtual box port forwarding problems but none with my specific details. I have a Windows install living in Virtual Box, hosted within OSX. I've got several webservers running on localhost on different ports within the Windows install. I cannot for the life of me get port forwarding to work so I can access those webservers from OSX. My settings look like this (yes I have a NAT adapter): And in my vbox configuration file the relavent portion looks like this: <NAT> <DNS pass-domain="true" use-proxy="false" use-host-resolver="false"/> <Alias logging="false" proxy-only="false" use-same-ports="false"/> <Forwarding name="RLPWeb" proto="1" hostport="7084" guestip="127.0.0.1" guestport="7084"/> <Forwarding name="UtilWeb" proto="1" hostport="4040" guestip="127.0.0.1" guestport="4040"/> <Forwarding name="WCARLP" proto="1" hostport="8084" guestip="127.0.0.1" guestport="8084"/> <Forwarding name="WCAUtil" proto="1" hostport="4848" guestip="127.0.0.1" guestport="4848"/> </NAT> I've turned off the Windows firewall to ensure it is not interfering, and I am not running a firewall on OSX. Anyway, when I attempt to go to for example http://127.0.0.1:4040/ on any of my OSX browsers, it will eventually time out. The log file for this VM shows that it is correctly reading the settings and implying it's doing the right thing here: 00:00:08.286 NAT: set redirect TCP host port 4848 => guest port 4848 @ 127.0.0.1 00:00:08.286 NAT: set redirect TCP host port 8084 => guest port 8084 @ 127.0.0.1 00:00:08.286 NAT: set redirect TCP host port 4040 => guest port 4040 @ 127.0.0.1 00:00:08.286 NAT: set redirect TCP host port 7084 => guest port 7084 @ 127.0.0.1 00:00:08.290 Changing the VM state from 'LOADING' to 'SUSPENDED'. 00:00:08.290 Changing the VM state from 'SUSPENDED' to 'RESUMING'. 00:00:08.290 Changing the VM state from 'RESUMING' to 'RUNNING'. 00:00:08.337 Display::handleDisplayResize(): uScreenId = 0, pvVRAM=000000012017d000 w=1834 h=929 bpp=32 cbLine=0x1CA8, flags=0x1 00:00:09.139 AIOMgr: Host limits number of active IO requests to 16. Expect a performance impact. 00:00:13.454 NAT: DHCP offered IP address 10.0.2.15 I've tried setting the Host IP to 127.0.0.1, and I've tried setting Guest IP blank and also 10.0.2.15. None of these seem to help. What else can I look at to troubleshoot this issue? Details of setup: OSX 10.6.8 Windows 7 Professional 64bit VirtualBox 4.1.2

  • How do I hide the port Apache2 is using from the browser?

    - by jpartogi
HI all, I am currently using nginx as front-end proxy for Apache. I have setup nginx to use port 80 and Apache to use 8080. But after nginx redirected the request to Apache, the port 8080 is visible from the browser. Is there any way this port can be hidden and not visible because it would be very ugly for users that wants to bookmark it. THanks in advance for your help.

I use a MAC and I want to completely block ads on my Google Chrome browse. What I mean by completely is that I don't want the ads to be just hidden. I understand that Google Chrome adblock addons currently hide ads, but can't prevent them from downloading. Is there a work around to this problem? Also, I use Firefox as my primary browser and I am on a proxy server on a Local network.

  • active-to-passive ftp solution

    - by Joris
I have an ftp client (.NET app I don't have the source to) that only does active mode that needs to push data to an appliances ftp-server that only speaks passive. There is nothing I can do to modify the software on either end; but everything in between is fair game. (routing, windows or linux software, firewall tricks, ...) Is there some kind of ftp proxy software? Or some kind of solution I could try?
